23 CLE, A week after Shadow Isles invasion.
The sun was setting over Demacia, Vincent was on guard duty, he stood on the outer wall, looking over the plains below him, his objective was to keep his eyes open for any threat, be it Shadow Isles or Noxus.
He was starting to feel a bit tired, the past week had taken its toll on him and he was struggling to stay awake. He then remembered what Swain had assigned him to do, he took out a piece of paper and decided to write a short report on what had happened.
Before he started to write he realized he didn't have anything to write with. He kept watching the plains below him until his watch was over and he could return to the barracks, in there he found a pen and an inkwell. He took out his piece of paper again and started to write before anything else came up
"Dear Uncle.
Demacia has been attacked by the Shadow Isles, we didn't expect this kind of invasion, the entire city was caught of guard, most of the city is now in ruin.
I haven't seen Jarvan the Fourth in a while, he seemed to be quite depressed after the invasion. The Yordle with the hammer broke an arm, some monkey showed up as well. The amount of security has been almost doubled, we wont let them get another sneak attack.
I saw that Shyvana was still alive, didn't expect her to perish in battle though, she is one of the fiercest warriors I've seen here. The saltwater scourge showed up the day after the invasion, I saw Fiora I believe she is called walking around the docks as well, Quinn was there too. There is also a giant man in a scuba suit here, I think he's the one called Nautilus.
I haven't seen much of the Crownguard family, wonder what happened to them.
I saw that the gargoyle known as Galio is still around, he was down at the docks as well, he held some yordles who argued about something.
Have you ever seen a half-man-half-horse? The was one there, it was burning with a blue fire and I think it was commanding some of the undead soldiers. I didn't want to find out either, we lost a lot of good men there, men that I later had to cut down before they did that to me.
That horse-man thing was terrifying, no one stood a chance against him, not us regular soldiers at least, I think that the prince or Garen could have been on even ground with him. As I was fighting the undead I saw Garen fighting someone wielding a mace, there was metal flying around him. I wish that I didn't have to see what I saw, the feeling when you looked to your right and saw a dead ally turn into a living enemy.
I'll write to you again soon when I have the time and hopefully better news.
Vincent Skywatcher."
He finished the letter and put in an envelope, he then walked out of the barracks and headed towards where you could send letters using pigeons. He looked around to see if he had been followed, he didn't spot anyone, he attached the letter to the pigeon and set it free. He just had to await the Generals new orders.
