The young warrior took a second to compose himself. As kind and soothing as she was, she was still a leader of Ionia and deserved the respect of a proper answer.
"I thank you both for your empathy and for giving he this opportunity."
He didn't have any real place to stay, as he could not afford to. The monks had no source of income, often trading with locals or accepting donations. As such, he had no real money.
"Nowhere Duchess. I had planned on camping outside the capitol, as I usually do when I travel. I'm used to living a life of little luxury."

Karma's expression turned to one of disapproval."Nonsense, you will stay here at the Placidium...I will not force you of course but I would like it if you would. It does get chilly outside the capitol."She glances to her good friend beside her."Do you think you could see Aurus is made comfortable Tao?"
Rising, she makes her way over to the windows, her movements made with no hesitation and full of grace. Looking down once again."Join me, Aurus."Her hand beckoned him close to her. Then folding both of them in front of her."I think it will do you good to visit with me, even Tao. To stay in Ionia. What you need is time to gather yourself and /find/ yourself."Her calm gaze swept to him."How does that sound?"

Tao nodded in agreement with Karma's words.
"Yes, I agree. It would do you some good to stay here and speak and meditate with Karma."
He set the tea down and looked at the young man.
"Even a monk of many ways must see the wisdom of staying in a place where he can collect himself. And in a few days you will leave with me on a pilgrimage to find your answer, it is the same journey I took when I was younger and my own mind was clouded by dark clouds."
He looked over at Karma, a familiar twinkle in the old man's eye.
"What do you think my friend, it would be a rough journey, but I believe he can handle it."

Her eyes find Tao's, glittering with a smile full of determination and she nods once. Placing a hand again on Aurus' shoulder. Her eyes staring into him as if to search for something inside his soul. Suddenly her expression clears and she lets her hand fall."You are strong Aurus...do not forget that...You will find that there are citizens in the main hall of the presidium that will accommodate you when you are ready. Please, Tell them Lady Karma sent you. I have some thing I would like to discuss with Tao."

Tao watched Aurus leave as he stroked his beard in though.
"I see a lot of potential in the new bearer of Ōku no Burēdo. I see great things coming from him, if he can clear that head of his that is. But I am sure he has the will to do it."
He then turned his attention to Karma and smiled at her gently. He poured some fresh tea and gestured for her to take a seat.
"So, what would you like to discuss my friend?"

The Enlightened One swiftly takes a seat again, a soft sigh of relief exits her as she accepts the tea with a genuine, friendly smile. Taking a tepid sip before speaking.
"Though he may have potential, and look and feel strong. Inside he is a horse who has just been given a saddle. This horse has grown to know his own inhibitions, free to do as he pleases. Yet the filly has grown to a stallion and does not know why he has been given the burden of a saddle... Be patient and gentle with him Tao, as I know you will be. For I see a piece of glass near a blazing gun. One wrong twitch of a finger and the glass will be shattered."Karma looks down into the depth of her tea cup, watching the tea leaves settled at the bottom. Her normally clear eyes, stormed over as they squinted slightly."I have faith that he will find what he is looking for."Her eyes cleared as she met Tao's."He has the right guidance after all."
Reaching forward, she places an easy hand on Tao's forearm."How are you, my friend? I don't think I've had proper time to greet you as of yet."

Tao took a sip of tea and smiled warmly at his friend.
"He will do just fine. As for me, I am well enough, the dojo is running well and my granddaughter is flourishing in her studies. And it is alright that you haven't had time, I arrived while you were with someone."
He took another sip and set the cup down.
"How about yourself Karma, is everything going well here in the capital?"

On the his way out, Aurus would encounter a very familiar face. Udyr was rumbling down the hallways of the Placidium, not acknowledging the presence of the man who he had fought before. Not saying a word to Aurus, the beast man walked past him and made his way towards Karma's meditation spot.
The moment he saw her busy with another person, however, Udyr quieted his steps and stayed near the entrance of the room, silently waiting for her to finish her business.
The proof that the state is a creation of nature and prior to the individual is that the individual, when isolated, is not self-sufficing; and therefore he is like a part in relation to the whole. But he who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god.

As she began to answer, her head perked some. Sensing Udyr before he had appeared. His footsteps always a dead give away to where he was."Forgive me Tao."She said, and her head turned to Udyr, a curled smile upon her lips."Udyr.." She said in a warm, fond and welcoming tone. Standing to respectfully greet him. Waiting for him to enter."To what do I owe this honor.."She trailed off and watched him, ever powerful and prominent in the doorway.
She smirked pleasantly to herself,*Today was just full of unexpected surprises*Her thoughts echoed in her mind as her inner fire gave a quiet burst and swirled around her.

Tao as well felt the entrance of Udyr, the old man nodded in understanding and turned towards the door as she stood. He stroked his beard with a smile.
"Come in boy, there is plenty of tea. Its just old friends having a chat. If you need to see the Lady Karma then don't mind me."
He set out a clean up and filled with tea and then topped off the other cups.

The beast man gave Karma a slow nod of his head to show he acknowledged her presence. He made his way over towards Karma and Tao with long steps, his wooden sandals not making a sound.
Once he was close enough, Udyr gave Karma another nod followed by his rough voice saying, "Greetings, Duchess." He then looked over at Tao and gave the old man a grunt of acknowledgement.

Her head tilted up at Udyr's looming form. Her teal eyes gleaming at him as her hand fluidly swept towards an open seat."Please, join us...or do you have other business here?"Her expression one of curiosity. Taking a calm seat again and angling herself so she still faced him. The fire that had burst fourth upon his arrival was now swirling about her in a friendly caress. An enigma of movement that only those who knew her understood.
The Duchess waited patiently for his words. Her stature that of cool composure. Despite the tremble of thoughts that ever perplexed her mind.
