Victus was confused by the odd ritual, but he didn't know anything about magic, and would defer to the expert...though expert would be a poor word choice here in Victus's opinion. However, it was all he had.

a suddenly blinding light illuminates the area, robbing vision of any living thing near Victus and Lulu. when the light dims, Victus would find that the flower on his head simply vanishes...along with his eyebrow

Victus feels his bare skin where his eyebrow was but a moment before, and shrugs. A flower is embarrassing, a missing eyebrow under his helm, a minor nuisance.
This little adventure had taken most of the day and Victus decided to set up camp. He was still sore in the shoulder and he needed the rest.
"Lulu, I am setting up camp. You staying or moving on? If you are staying, get some tinder."

"That....is NOT tinder." Victus says in as dry a tone he can manage. His code forbade him from smacking this creature without cause, but he was severely tempted at this point. He removes his flint and steel from his belt pouch and tosses them to Lulu.
"I highly doubt you can light that, but you may try while I go get some REAL tinder."

Lulu waits until Victus was out of sight before using the flint and steel for the first time. After a couple of strikes a single spark forms and lands on the block of ice. The block of ice suddenly gets engulfed in flames, radiating a warmth one would expect from a properly made fireplace. The block shows no sign of melting anytime soon. Lulu, looking quite pleased with herself, reaches out to warm her hands while she waits for Victus

Victus says as he scoops out a bowl of soup. It was healthy and easy, but not filling. Victus wished he had hunted for some squirrel or rabbit to add to the meal, but his shoulder wouldn't let him.
