Jayce inspected the box in his hand carefully, before placing it in his pocket. It was time to get this thing off his hands, and he knew just the man to help...
He walked up to the Taric's workshop at the Piltover Academy, and knocked on the door thrice, straightening his outfit. He stood there waiting for the Gem Knight to answer.

Jayce would be standing there for a few minutes without a answer to his knocks when the sound of armored footsteps approached from down the hall. Taric rounded the corner with his hammer on his shoulder and his shield strapped to his back. He gave Jayce a smile and a wave as he approached, the gems of his armaments gleaming in the various light sources.
"Hello Jayce, I hope you were not waiting long. I just returned from some travels and one of the students told me you were making your way to my office, so I came here as fast as I could."
He walked over to the door and set his hammer against the wall as he took out his keys to unlock the door and then opened it, gesturing for the Defender of Tomorrow to enter first.
"Please come in, we can discuss the reason for your visit while I put some tea on for us."

"Thank you, Taric. There has been something bothering me, and I'm sure, if anyone else, that you are the only one who can help me." He nodded, before entering, and taking a seat down at an empty wooden chair, opposite to another chair with a glass table in between.
"I'll wait..." he said, before fiddling about with the box, setting it down on the table carefully.

Taric set up some water to boil as he put his hammer and shield against a wall. He then walked over and put everything he needed on a platter and set it across from Jayce before taking a seat across from him and pouring himself a cup of tea. After taking a drink he nodded towards Jayce.
"So, How can I help the Defender of Tomorrow?"

"Yes. Well..."
Jayce produced the box from his pocket, and set it down on the table. It gleamed with an interesting purple aura, brightening the entire room, as well as relecting off all the other crystals set in the obscure workshop. He shielded his eyes for a moment, before opening the box, taking out some amber-lensed glasses.
"This is... a shard of the energy crystal I worked on a year ago." He took out the small piece and held it out for the knight to see.

Taric eyed the box curiously as Jayce set it in front of him.He glanced at how the glow was playing with the other gems and crystals in his shop before returning his attention to Jayce. He took one of the pairs of glasses and slipped them on as Jayce pulled out the crystal shard. Taric rubbed his chin and nodded in understanding.
"So you were able to retrieve a piece after all. So, what kind of appraisal are you looking for Jayce?"

"I was hoping you could perhaps take a look and see if its energy can still be harnessed. It's just a small piece, but if there's anybody else who can't help... then I'm stuck. This is my only chance, help me out here, Taric."

Taric looked around at the rattling of his room after Jayce's display with a amused look. He then nodded carefully taking the piece on the work table nearby.
"Alright then Jayce, I will get right to work after I get settled in. I am sure it is still useable but we will see in the long wrong."
