The gravedigger was heading once again to the graveyard to dig new graves and recruit new soldiers. The rain was pouring down and the road he walked was muddy and a bit slippery, Yorick didn't bother it too much, soon he would be at the graveyard and he could work again. He walked past the castle on the way to the graveyard, he looked at it, wondering if the mortal was still alive, or if the Isles had claimed her. He didn't think much more of it, "She is probably alive, bet the Hivemind will be the one to control her if she dies." Yorick said to himself. Yorick kept a ghoul close to him whenever he was walking to the graveyard, that way he was always aware if someone tried to sneak up on him, the ghoul started to pull in Yorick's arm, as if there was someone around. What is it? Is there someone here?" Yorick asked the ghoul, the ghoul started to point behind him. Yorick couldn't see anyone. "You, hiding in the shadows, reveal yourself." Yorick had now turned towards where the ghoul was pointing, he grasped his shovel, making sure that if he'd have to fight he would be ready.
"There is no need to be alarmed Yorick, it is only us."
The shrouded form of Legion's steward host shambled into view. The cloth and robes shrouded it's features, except for it's burning orange eyelights. It approached the grave digger and looked up at the castle, seemingly not at all bothered by the rain.
"We apologize for hiding, but we have had concerns that there may be lapses in loyalty since the king took the mortal girl.We were meaning to talk to you directly anyway."
"We are the King's Legion. Fear us, for we are many. Join us, for you will die. There is no sweeter mercy we can grant than your release from the mortal coil."
"He is a fool for keeping her alive, she is just a burden at the moment. But who am I to question the King?" Yorick had told the king to kill the girl and bind her to the Isles, but he wouldn't listen to him. "As long as I have my quota I will be loyal to the King, even if I disagree with his choices, unlike Mordekaiser, he is a fool to try and kill the mortal, especially in front of the King." Yorick looked at the host the legion had chosen, he didn't remember the body, but he rarely did bother trying to remember them all."You said you wanted to speak to me, hivemind."
"We are not willing to question the king. And we agree that the Master of Metal acted rashly and without forethought."
The host returned its gaze to Yorick and crossed its arms, almost in a human manner.
"We came to you cause you are one of the few that are so attuned to the energy of the isles. We wanted to know if you have noticed any changes in that mortal woman."
"We are the King's Legion. Fear us, for we are many. Join us, for you will die. There is no sweeter mercy we can grant than your release from the mortal coil."
"Now that you bring it up, she had an odd aura around her, not like the other pesky mortals. She is definitely different from the others. Such a shame the King wont kill her, she'd be much more useful for us dead than alive." Yorick started to think about the aura he had felt from Marabelle when he saw her in the throne room. There wasn't a lot of things that confused the Gravedigger, this was one of the few things that did. "She is odd indeed, but the King wants her alive, and she shall stay that way. Until her time is out, we will wait. Yorick looked at the Hivemind's body. He wondered how many of these "hosts" he had provided it with."Tell me Hivemind, how many bodies have you used up that I've raised for the King?"
The host nodded at the gravediggers words. "Yes, and we will serve the king as always and ensure his commands are kept." When he mentioned Marabelles aura Legion looked at the castle again. "So you feel it too, that makes us....curious." Returning it's gaze at Yorick it spoke again. "The number of the hosts we have used from your supply is quite large, but we have also taken almost equal amount back from the ones we have slain in battle."
"We are the King's Legion. Fear us, for we are many. Join us, for you will die. There is no sweeter mercy we can grant than your release from the mortal coil."
"I see, as long as you bring me the dead you will have more of these hosts. Do you think Thresh and Mordekaiser should have acted as Hecarim did in the throne room? He has known the king the longest after all." Yorick looked back at the castle, remembering the entire event. He had arrived at the Throne room a bit late, mainly because of he limping and not being able to walk as fast as the other undead. "Tell me Hivemind, do you think the Shadow Isles as we are now would be able to take on the League of Legends?" It was a question Yorick had been thinking on for a while now, ever since the invasion of Demacia he had to increase the dead brought back each day significantly.
"Thresh and Mordekaiser should of been more careful with their words back there, but they are.....passionate souls. Thresh is blinded when it comes to the Demacians."
The host paced closer to Yorick as it spoke.
"And Mordekaiser is one who prefers to act on impulse, rather than methodical reasoning. Their actions in the throne room did not surprise us."
When Yorick asked if they could take the League head on, the host stopped still, considering the gravedigger, and their own thoughts.
"As we are, no we are ill equipped to face their power at this current time. There is also a issue with their allies as well. We may be the unliving, but we all should know how the odds are before we make anymore moves."
"We are the King's Legion. Fear us, for we are many. Join us, for you will die. There is no sweeter mercy we can grant than your release from the mortal coil."
"I see." Yorick didn't say anything else, he kept looking at up at the Castle, the champions of the Shadow Isles are all terrifying in their own way, Thresh who tortures your soul, Hecarim, the embodiment of War, Mordekaiser who will rip your soul out and force you to fight your allies, and then there was Yorick, if you died near him you'd most likely wake up again, but with other intentions.. "Unless you have anything else to say Hivemind I will continue to the Graveyard and.. recruit more to our ranks.". If Yorick wasn't stopped he'd start to walk to the Graveyard and continue on filling his quota.
