I'm throwing my ideas here. Do not pay attention to this post as Swain will need to confirm it first.
"Professor Ryze here.
I'm here to discuss about Thorn Magic... I have no time for that!" Ryze throws down a small book that lands by your feet.
Behind the book, the description reads:
Definition
Thorn Magic (the way I see it) is the magical art of manifesting raw arcane energies in a way the caster wishes it to be.
Following that, still on the description on the back of the book, you read:
Learn about the "Big Four" of Thorn Magic![/b]
Will
Thorn Magic works on the user's Will. The more Will you have to succeed, live, work, achieve goals, be it love, hate, anger, frustration... Will drives Thorn Magic. Will includes feelings too. Feelings of desperation weakens your Will and your Thorn Magic. If you love someone and want to defend him/her so badly, your Will will increase and so will the power of your casts.
Magical Affinity and Power[/b]
As with all types of magic, you must possess the skill to use it. Even if your Will surpasses Ryze, you won't be as strong. Yes, Will increases the power of the cast but the power of the user is also a major key here.
The Tattoo
The Tattoo allows mages to cast Thorn Magic in either part of their body that is tattoo-ed but disallows them to cast another form of magic is the same area. Example - If Summoner X has The Tattoo on his right hand he can cast Thorn Magic only on the right hand. However, if his left hand lacks The Tattoo, then he can cast fire magic with that hand.
-More will be explained about The Tattoo in the appropriate section.
Means of Manifestation
In order to manifest said raw arcane energies into reality, one must possess an item with matching Tattoo markings on it. For example, Ryze uses his book which contains his Tattoo markings when he manifests spells.
-Note that this is only valid for higher spells. Spells such as "Overload" in Ryze's case only need the appropriate hand gesture while spells such as "Rune Prison" need the item (book) to cast.
Below that, the following reads:
We will name throughout the book the big four using these shortcuts:
W - Will
MAaP - Magical Affinity and Power
T-T - The Tattoo
MoM - Means of Manifestation
The price tag on the buttom of the book reads: 9001 Valors.
You open up the book after stealing from your city state's bank to buy it.
So, you want to know about...
