Underneath the already chemically stained earth and rubble Zaun was known for lies another world, a land laid to waste by the spoils of its neighborly terrain above. What was waste for Zaun was treasure for the sewers below its grounds, filling the insides with alchemist's chemicals, pedestrian trash, the litter of a passerby. Many, many things could be found here, whether useless or extraordinary.
An example is the creation of Zaun's premiere champion of the League of Legends, Twitch, the Plague Rat, a sentient creature transformed by the fluids of the sewer lines. Confined to the underground for reasons both unknown and apparent, he would make this place his home; habitable or not. The floors and walls were lined with thick grime and musk, a blackened coat of filthy water and chemicals flooding the hallways and openings. Every so often something precious would flow out into the open ground, though what was precious to him was not to normal beings.
Perhaps you could find the secrets of its atmosphere.
"Look, just don't go down there alright? More trouble than it's worth..."-Zaunite Guard

Singed was not the type to venture in the sewers and now it was not certainly an activity he enjoyed. He had heard that The Plague Rat was around those parts and wanted to contact it for a mission.
The main entrance into the sewer lines was quite large, a large bulbous hole most likely forged by the hand of another led to an enclosed hallway of sorts, filth and sewage covering it bit by bit. The walls seemed to ooze liquids as one would walk by, multiple pipelines spewing out what Zaunite waste they contained minute by minute.
The sounds within were different from their usual sloshing and disgusting splashes of waste hitting the wet floor, it seemed to be the sound of footsteps and chattering.
Near one of the sewer line's forked dead ends was Twitch himself, rummaging through a pile of things he acquired, found, possibly took. Some were random trinkets; some were valuable items. Sometimes he simply couldn't tell the difference.
The rat continued shuffling through his newly obtained items, only barely visible by the naked eye from the entrance of the sewers, humming and giggling to himself.

The whole geography of the place disgusted him but he needed to contact the rat. Singed did not saw the creature but could hear its multiple movements.
Twitch is that you? Hey plague rat I have something to talk you! He yelled at the darkness.
"What do you want now?" A voice from the end of the current pipeline echoed out. His form seemed to gain more opacity, more easily visible now. He was sitting in the waste filled fluids on the floor, fiddling with the pile of trinkets. Twitch didn't seem to care enough to turn and face Singed.
"You of all people. What is it? Here to exterminate more of the others?"

Do you think I need to come down her to kill some rats?
Singed replied to Twitch, he wasangry that something like the plague rat would not look at him when he was talking. But tryed to regain his composure.
There is something big happening something that would signify the destruction of both humans and rats. You know the creatures of the void right? You have experimented how unbelievable dangerous they can be. Well there is the possibility of a swarm of those things coming to this world, we all need people to go and explore Icathia in order to know if they will come from there. I believe that you are the one with the most possibilities to come back alive.
Twitch nearly growled. Knowing Singed was most likely mocking him was infuriating. Nearly enough to shoot him right in his 'disgusting, morphed face', as he would call it. But this wasn't the time. That and the Summoners would most likely have him imprisoned....again.
He simply turned his head, half of it facing Singed and an eye focused on him.
"Don't give me your little mocking games you murderer. I know well enough how dangerous this Void mess is, and how easily I would die if I DO help you with your little trip."
If Singed could see from his position, the rat would be visibly scowling as much as his odd facial features would allow. He had no lips, yet his jaw is smaller than his upper muzzle. Too many things about his transformation needed questioning. Too many things to think about. It would drive him insane-MORE insane-if he were to keep going on about it to himself.
The flies hovering around him certainly would if not his own mind.
"Do not lie. It is dangerous, yes? Summoners may not be able to protect us in 'Icathia'. Now would they? Who knows. I am no fool. Why not send that oaf Mundo, or the imbecile that we brought back to life just to vomit over seeing him? Hm?"
He giggled a bit to himself, not giving Singed much time to talk. "What will you do to make this worth my while? Yes, saving the world, humans and all that. I would rather all humans, and Summoners die out. But why? What do I get?" The smug grin on his face would certainly imply how entitled he felt to something.
"Wait. I do know. I know what you will do for me. And you won't deny if you don't want Swain to be angry with you for failing to get my help."
His grin widened, a bit farther than it should have; and yet the entire time he still refused to stand and turn his entire body. "Fine, fine," the Plague Rat responded, "My demands, demands...well. Hm."
Twitch seemed to hesitate in thought for a few seconds, his head lifting upward to stare at the ceiling. "As much cheese as you can gather for now," the rat began while his smile returned once more.
"The pleasure of watching you DIE..." He demanded quite loudly, as if angered; though his voice quickly became softer in tone.
"And...I would ask of a favor from you after I do whatever it is I'm supposed to be doing, Singed." The last request made him chuckle even more now, starting to enjoy toying with him, though he realized this was a very serious matter. It was simply fun to play a bit of a game with Singed's patience, as much 'game' as he was allowed to have with anyone.
"Hmph. The yordle city. Fine." He grumbled. The visit to a town of yordles would not be fun. Turning his head back to his pile without a single goodbye, Twitch returned to rummaging through it as Singed made his leave.
"Work, they said. Cooperate, they said. You'll screw us all, they said. Well, who seems 'screwed' now! While you all died, choking on the waste we live in, I lived, growing, and...I've forgotten things... They don't matter. My memories are simply about the pain. THE PAAIIINNN YOU'VE ALL CAUSED. IT WAS YOUR FAULT.
I despise all of you. You're no better than the humans. Well, I will change that, yeeesss, heheeehohoohehugh~!"
