Teemo lets out a breath, turning to the door.
"Well, my lunch break is almost over. We should head out to the perimeter soon. You'll be accompanying me on my rounds tonight, and tomorrow morning I'll be up early for a jog through the area. Like it or not, I want you there for the jog tomorrow. And, based on how well you behave tonight, I'll decide whether or not to make you spend the night in my apartment as well to learn good manners."
Titus stands there contemplating on his newly made assignments Teemo gave to him. He looks downward before shifting his body to his new superior officer.
As accustomed by the standards, Titus salutes to his newly made superior back. Does he want him as a friend, yes but as someone he needs to look up to? In all honesty, not really. A sense of jealousy fills inside him, thinking how his dad is closer to the scout that he is to his own son. But even with negativity running through his mind, Titus willingly follows Teemo out to the first round of the perimeter.

Some hours later...
Teemo struts down a trail along the outskirts of Bandle City, breathing in the fresh evening air and sighing contently. They'd been walking and listening for some time now, and they'd almost gone all the way around the city. Just up ahead the trail grows more mangled as it enters a forest, roots sprouted about everywhere making it difficult for those not paying attention.
"How're ya holding up, Titus? Just keep your eyes on the road up here. Don't want you to trip on a root and hurt yourself."

Teemo keeps walking, so used to the roads he doesn't even have to look. He scoffs, rolling his eyes at Titus' comment.
"You're here because we need to be on the lookout for enemy troops. Every mile or so is a unit moving in a clockwise direction around the city. And since I have to be here, that means you have to be here. If you want to make it more interesting, then by all means do so. Just make sure to keep your eyes and ears open."
And Titus continues to trudge along the path with Teemo. The trail becomes rougher to traverse. To keep himself safe, Titus sheathes his sword before traveling with his patrol partner.
At some point, a root ensnares Titus' foot and almost causes the captain to trip over, but immediately balances himself with his other foot. Another big root takes hold of Titus, but a tree saves his fall. Then he looks at the trail ahead and sees more obstacles in his way.
This is getting ridiculous...
Titus becomes more vigilant than ever. His eyes now focus on the ground while following Teemo. He carefully weaves through any root that might snare him. But Titus unwittingly hits himself in the forehead by a extended branch. Pain spikes to his forehead and a big root grabs hold of his foot and trips him over.

Teemo holds his composure through the trek, though he was really tempted to laugh for each time Titus tripped. The scout slows down to stay just in ahead of the other captain. When he hears the tree branch collision, Teemo immediately turns around to see the swordsman falling. He plants his feet properly between two roots and opens his arms, allowing Titus to fall so that he catches him.
Titus soon finds himself at the arms of the scout, which he quickly grabs hold. He looks downward and sighs to himself, pondering on how much it'll hurt if he hit the ground. Then he turns to the branch that hit him...
"How is!" Titus struggles to get back to his feet. "How is that branch that low!?"

Teemo rolls his eyes, hoisting the other captain back to his feet.
"It's the middle of the forest, Titus. Tree branches are going to be all over the place. You just gotta keep your eyes open. Come on, we should get moving again!"
This time the scout takes Titus by the hand, trying to lead him through the more root-filled portion of the path until it smooths out again. By the time they exit the woods, the sun is setting, the view on the mountainous horizon quite magnificent.
With Teemo's help, Titus manages to get back to his feet. He looks back at the branch that smacked him and glares at it. Then he turns back to the road, continuing on the patrol with Teemo.
By the time the two exit the winding forest, Titus stumbles on the most beautiful scenery ever. All Titus could every describe from the view is 'Wow'.

After walking a little ways further, Teemo steps over to the side of the path and sits on a large tree stump, staring up at the mountains. He glances over at Titus for a moment, patting a spot on the stump next to him.
"Alright, time for a break. We've been patrolling all afternoon now. Don't want to get too tired in case something shows up on the last stretch."

Teemo sighs, laying with his palms behind him. He shakes his head slowly, his neutral expression becoming slightly negative.
"We're on the home stretch, Titus. It may not be the fastest route back, but it's still not that long. We'll be returning to the city the same way we came out. It's procedure, and most of the time we don't run into issues anyway, so like it or not we're going to follow the route until we've gone full circle."
