Mount Targon was a brutal place. A place where few would wander, and fewer remained as its snowy landscapes made survival incredibly difficult to manage. This was not a place that offered much comfort to beings that thrived in the desert, but it was where two would find each other again.
As the sun bled through the thick clouds not far beyond her head, streams of light rays carried through like a new sign of hope that washed away the dismay that had taken hold tightly upon the essence of her soul. The wintery wind blew with such fierceness that the bits of rays would come and go, illuminating the path before her before it would be concealed against the darkness of the dreary sky.
Snowflakes had begun to fall, coating black fur in small white speckles, melting and soaking into her fur ever so slowly. She felt the cold ever more strongly as she curled her arms tightly around her. Her ears tucked back with her tail dancing in the wind behind her, pushing through the harsh conditions.
Emuishere stopped. Her eyes squinted and watered as she stares forward towards a small cave just off the path. She had intended to make her way to the desert, but for now she would need to find shelter as the cold was becoming ever more intolerable. The cave was roughly 10ft in height, and seemed to go back a short ways. Within it, she found remnants of a fire but no sign of anyone else staying there. A shiver rushed up her spine as she weaved lone phantom cat with her hands, to scout nearby for dry wood knowing that it would be far safer to do so then venture out into the snowy landscape.
The phantom cat was bound to find more then just wood though. It's small nose raised to the air, sniffing, and suddenly dashing towards a familiar scent on the air. Perhaps.. it was the one she had intended to find? Emuishere sensed what the cat sensed, and would perk her ears as she paced the cave, piling together what little bit of wood was still present and trying to ignite it with sparks from stone. A tiny hint of smoke would begin to smolder within some frayed bark, and soon turn into a frail flame. She was lucky, she thought. This would have been far too difficult to manage had she failed to create a small fire.
With a small hiss, Emuishere grabbed her head and winced, hearing the taunting laughter of the void. The ever growing hatred for it causing her fur to stand on end as she scowled. The echoes like ghosts in the wind, growing louder and louder. She raked her claws across the ground as her fur puffed out, staggering back from the fire to clutch to the walls. A sense of dizziness sent her swaying. Haunted by the darkness of the void, she could do little more then fight it and hope someday she might destroy it.
"..brothers.." She whispered as her ears flattened back, "..Nasus... Please.. find me..."
The phantom cat outside would stagger about with the void's beckoning, causing it's form to fluxuate between the spectral, to the more physical with drops of purple sand falling from it's body and disappearing into the snow. After a moment, it would simply vanish as Emuishere's control over it would be lost.. But a trail would be left, and the scent of Emuishere upon it.
Nasus would sense her calling for him.. And should he find the trail and her scent, he would easily find her.
