There was some training equipment laid out on the grounds of the Wuju training dojo. Today was just another fine day as Yi woke up, ready for his morning meditation. He sat down by a streaming river as he started chanting...
He was always lonely like this. Wukong was off on another one of his "adventures", and Yi doesn't have anybody to teach or train. He took all this spare time in training and honing his skills. What else could he do?
Today sure was quiet though. Yi had been lonely for quite long enough. He decided that it was time to recruit some new pupils. He got to work right away at some cheap, hand drawn, attractive posters that would definitely get some students.
After a while in the crammed workshed, Yi managed to produce a poster:
"Accepting New Students! Wuju Dojo!"
He stuck it up on a post in front of the path into the forest. Many travellers passed this entrance, surely someone will have to notice it.
Any minute now before they started coming in. Any minute now... For now, Yi continued meditating. He couldn't bear being alone much longer.

Dark spheres shot out of Syndra's castle in all directions across Ionia. One such sphere flew over the training ground of the Wuju master known only by the name of Yi.
Curiosity struck Syndra who was many miles away as she commanded the orb down into Yi's training camp. The orb stopped just before the master and hummed with energy. Syndra tilted her head as she waited to see Yi's reaction.

Yi stopped chanting and then looked forward, seeing the dark sphere hovering in front of him. He rose up to his feet, only to find that the sphere also rose up with him. Master Yi was puzzled. He has seen a sphere like this on the fields; must have been Syndra's doing.
He tried to grab hold of the sphere in his hands, but they merely went through it. Yi tilted his head quizically, but decided to continue meditating in front of it. The sound coming from it was very relaxing, and he silently thanked Syndra for helping him...
In the calm serenity of Yi's dojo, there was a sense of peace that could only be found here. It was expected of a place such as this, seeming to permeate all around the establishment. Well, that is until a particular face would poke into the door. His visage marked by those curious green eyes ever darting about in search of his teacher. Another would join, settled atop the original, and another still until three Wukong seemed to stack in the doorway. The bottom gritted his teeth and flattened to the ground under the weight of the other two, causing an avalanche of monkeys.
The ones in the center and bottom would poof away, with the one on top leaping into the innards of the dojo ever jovial and eager to see his master, "MASTER YI!" He announced, lifting a sack which appeared to contain something relatively large, and round in shape. The Monkey King gave pause, however, as he saw the orb floating in front of Yi. Tilting his head, he'd step closer with the bag dragging across the floor.

As he opened his eyes, he found the curios face of a familiar monkey enlarged behind the glowing orb. Yi couldn't help but let out a small grin; Wukong was finally back! He stood up and walked over to the monkey, the orb trailing behind him...
"Ah, Wukong, you return from your 'journey'! How was it?"
Yi noticed Wukong's interest in the orb, and decided to keep it out of sight, in case he got out of control and started causing a mess. It happened before, quite the disaster.
Wukong could hardly contain himself as his gaze followed after the orb until - it disappeared. He'd straighten and scratch his head a bit in confusion, "Huh?" He said with his eyes focusing on Yi. "AH! MASTER YI!" He announced again as if he'd forgotten his earlier greeting, "Hee! I have a gift for you." He'd pull the bag around to set it between Yi and himself allowing it to fall away to reveal --
A huge peach. It was unnaturally large! Was it really a peach?
"I couldn't just leave it! It looked so lonely all by itself!" His hands joined together with a quick clap as he bounced around in excitement, "Isn't it amazing!?" Eyes wide and twinkling, searching for approval in Master Yi's expression.

Master Yi was taken aback by the size of this peach, but then kept his calm again and started to stroke his beard... This peach was indeed marvelous, the fact that Wukong even found it was really amazing. However, Yi wasn't sure how to respond to this to make Wukong happy... Hopefully this peach wouldn't cause any trouble.
"Er... that peach is... great! You've done well, my student. Now I must ask you; what do you plan to do with this peach? Its size is large and I don't think we could eat it all..."
"Sure we could!" Wukong responded happily. "But we shouldn't. I bet there's a few hungry mouths somewhere in Ionia that would enjoy it." The monkey king slipped his staff from his back and gave it a small nod, in which the staff itself returned knowingly. He'd rear it back and dash forward towards the peach-like object, sending the staff swiftly downward to split it in half.
It did little more then crack the surface. What followed however, would likely surprise both of them. The green ooze that crept from the crack came with a scent of death and decay. Much like a dragon fruit would. It'd permeate through the dojo and taint the nearby forests with the smell causing a rush of animals and people to scatter in disgust.
Wukong's fur curled and flared slightly upon the assault of the vile smell, looking wide eyed with his hands rapidly cupping over his mouth. "Why my delicious peach, why must you smell so vile!?"
"We've been deceived!" As usual, being overly dramatic.
"It looked so good, too." He'd say with hints of disappointment, "Biggest peach in the world, discovered by ME! And it smells like.... " Looking thoughtfully, he'd wave his hand about in emphasis, "Maybe it was a bad idea to take a peach from the Howling Marsh."

The smell almost made Yi collapse, but being well-trained, he managed to endure it. His nose was crinkled up slightly, and as the smell faded away, he gave out a long, disappointing sigh, as he pat Wukong over the head.
"Haa... It's alright Wukong. Just remember, you should not let your emotions; in your case, curiosity, control your actions. You must think, observe, then do. Now come on, help me find some place to dump this peach!"
Yi grabbed the end of the knot and started to wrap up the peach with the cloth Wukong brought, and then hauled it up onto his shoulders. it was heavier than he imagined, and Yi stumbled a bit before standing steadily again.
"If it's from the Howling Marsh... Let us go and return this peach back there."
And Master Yi started to walk along the hallway out to the entrance. Of course there was no real transport they could take without some disturbance, so it would be better if they set out on foot instead.

As Yi wrapped it up, there would be an odd grinding sound from within it. Very tiny, like an animal chittering its teeth ever so softly. At first it could be associated with the bag being wrapped up over it. Perhaps the bag pressing on the crack. But as they would get outside, Yi may find there seemed to be an odd thumping from within the bag. One that vibrated against his back softly as if something were trying to break free.
Wukong perked his ears as he followed behind Yi, his hands clasping together a bit before hooking the staff over his back with a light tilt of his head. He'd grin widely at the idea of traveling again, picking up his pace to catch up to the smaller Master Yi, "To the Howling Marsh! Can we detour? I heard there's a monster to the north that's undefeated!"

Yi smiled, Wukong was always bright and full of energy. It always made him feel warm inside when he saw his pupil happy and spirited.
The peach on his back however, was indeed shaking, and a few thumps coming from it. Yi took no mind. It was probably from that green ooze, a chemical reaction.
"Yes, of course Wukong," Yi stroked his beard as he spoke,"We can take the detour if you want to! We are in no hurry, we should take our time."
Master Yi signalled Wukong to follow as he walked out the low walls of the Wuju Dojo.

Syndra's orb would continue to follow around the master Yi, keeping it's ever constant hum or magical energies. The surface would be dark black, with a purple aura surrounding it. But suddenly, two purple orbs would appear in it's center, the spectral eyes of Syndra watching every movement Yi and his student made.
Away at her castle, she reclined in her throne, twirling one hand around in circles out of boredom. The master and student didn't seem to be entertaining enough just yet.
