The following will highlight various events in which Viktor analyzes the fighting styles and/or personalities of his fellow champions. It will be told from various points of view depending on my mood at the time, sometimes first person and other times third person, whatever I feel like.
The events given hereafter will not follow any set order, only that which I've been inspired to write. This means that there is no guarantee that I will go in alphabetical order for Champions and I can't promise I will write about ever single champion.
When I had first begun work on the project that led to the birth of the Great Steam Golem, I had not yet fully decided upon what he was meant to do. Granted, I had a very small inkling of what I might have aspired him to achieve, but the original designs I had come up with came with input from the team whom I had worked with to bring it to light.
Blitzcrank's over all appearance was the foundation upon which all the other features were designed, a rather tall and slightly rounded form accompanied by rather engrossed hands. I admit it was a rather silly design at first, but as I consulted my team more frequently we found a way to make it work. We eventually decided that he could do well with a modification which would enable his hand to be fired at a high velocity, then reeled back by a tether of some sort. A later convening resulted in the birth of the primary fuel source - a hydrothyl core which would purify any liquid placed within and convert it to steam to power the rest of him.
I had the fortune to fight him the other day, on the Field of Justice known as Summoner's Rift. It was a standard five versus five with one in the middle lane, one in the upper land, one through the jungle, and two in the lower lane. The match had progressed into its middle period, both sides had lost multiple turrets. The Drake was the focus and both sides wanted to slay it. The fight was unleashed there, and I saw him. My first great creation, his golden chassis gleaming in the sunlight. Before I knew it, I found myself being pulled to him and closer to the rest of his team. His enormous fist, surrounded by crackling electricity, collided with my jaw and sent me skyward. Before I could react, I felt the energy from his Static Field overwhelm me and prohibit me from utilizing any of my devices.
Suffice it to say, I had been slain in under three seconds, much to the chagrin of the rest of my team, who followed after. The Summoner who had called upon me, whose mind my own had melded with, enabled me to see the events that transpired afterward. Without me there my team had been quickly disposed of, giving our enemy the opportunity to claim the Drake.
Blitzcrank is indeed my first great creation, a fine example of what techmaturgy is capable of. He has come far from being that shot-in-the-dark grasp at fame and success. He is the Great Steam Golem.
If I had ever before met someone like The Exile, they would pale in comparison to her. While I am not at all attached to the whims of one who is flesh and blood, I could not deny the unique gem that I glimpsed. I could see that the years had not been kind to her, she seemed rather gloomy and kept to herself. I have never been able to approach her, though I have seen her very infrequently at the Institute of War. From what I've observed, she is quite the somber woman. That broken handle that was once her sword made her distinguishable in a crowd, and she carries herself as a vagrant. She speaks to very few others, and if she engaged in any activities of entertainment I would not know.
Her eyes clearly hold the weight of a person who has seen horrors beyond imagination, one who has borne witness to loss and death on a scale that someone like myself can never even ordain to comprehend. It is said that she broke her own sword after seeing what lengths her beloved motherland was willing to go to ensure victory, and she propels herself onward with nothing but her aspirations of ridding Noxus of the corruption that she seems to detest with every fiber of her being.
I can say without a shred of doubt that she and I are similar in the sense that we have experienced betrayal and loss, though our worlds couldn't be further apart. What few times I have seen her, watched her fight, witnessed her fervor and will power, have time and time again forced me to ponder the possibilities. Various what ifs that drive me back to the brink that I had previously forced myself away from upon realizing my goal to bring about the Glorious Evolution. I can't help but to question myself, consider how differently I might have reacted to my own betrayal at the hands of Stanwick if I had only met and seen her before those events transpired that drove me to do what I have done. I wonder, if I might be a different man now, one with a renewed vigor and designs which would not contest my very moral standing with regards to my fellow Zaunites?
I am beginning to think that my interactions with my fellow Champions might cause me more trouble than it is worth, but I can not avoid them entirely due to my submission to the League.
