Evelynn gently kept his hand in hers, a slight smirk remained upon her lips as she waited for him to lead her to the bar. Her molten gold eyes studied their surroundings as they moved, almost as though searching for something to talk about. She gave up however and remained in what she felt, was a comfortable silence between the two of them.
She couldn't help but let her mind wander back to the day she simply left him, he had no idea it was coming. She did, she was bound my a contract to kill him... But, instead she feel for him. Part of Evelynn wondered if it was his uncanny luck that made her fall for him. Either way, it saved his life. She couldn't bring herself to kill the Card Master, but the urge to hurt him was there and it grew with each passing day they spent together. Then they danced, the rhythm of the music, the increased heart rates as they rapidly pumped the blood through their veins. It was intoxicating, he was one of the few who could ever keep up. He was one of the few she truly cared for.

Twisted Fate would not break the silence, but would enjoy remembering the old and fun times the two had. Perhaps this was meant to be a time to reflect on what he could have done wrong to drive such a women away, or perhaps he was simply enjoying seeing her again after such a quite time period in between.
Twisted Fate was unaware of Evelynn's contract, but the side that wanted to hurt others was something he was quite aware of. However, he never expected himself to be the one hurt by her actions. He always thought that she considered him special, like Destiny did, but after that day....it appeared to be incorrect. However, he wondered after all the time they spent together...why did it go so wrong?
These thoughts would have to wait as Twisted Fate caught sight of their destination, it was tavern called the 'Underhanded Demacian'. It was a fairly well maintained wooden building, though the name was a bit odd in a place like this. maybe that's why Twisted Fate liked it, after all he knows all about under the table deals. He would open the door for Evelynn and gesture for her to enter, "After ya' cheri."

Evelynn had contently moved through the streets and allys with Twisted Fate in comfortable silence. Lost in thoughts, wondering just what Twisted Fate still felt for her. She had in all honestly, believed he would have hated her for what she done, simply snapping his heart in half and disappearing into the shadows only to re-emerge to rip out his heart on the Fields of Justice. She glanced at him, maybe that was true and this was just a plot to get some sort of revenge on her. She looked away, hiding the hint of sadness and regret in her golden eyes, Twisted Fate was the only one she had ever felt something strong for.
She was snapped out of her thoughts by Twisted Fate speaking, 'After ya' Cheri.' She smirked at the pet name he probably called all the females and stepped into the Tavern.

The Tavern was fairly well kept, a large space in the middle was left free of tables and other obstacles, obviously making it the designated dance area....or the brawl area should it come down to it. Oil lanterns hung around the tavern providing illumination for all the patrons who sat at a variety of tables or the bar. A few were playing a card game, but stopped when Evelynn walked into the room. A few would turn away, knowing tales of the Widowmaker, others would not be able to help their eyes. However, once Twisted Fate entered they would hide the cards and quickly start up a chat about Garen and his vanguard.
At the bar was a man cleaning a glass thoroughly, he would remove the rag he was cleaning with before inspecting the glass and going back to cleaning it. He was in his late 30's at least, but was well built, indicating he acted as bartender and bouncer should things get too rough. He would glance over to see Twisted Fate and Evelynn enter. A look of surprise crossed his face when he saw the blue skinned seductress, but a look of familiarity replaced it when he saw the gypsy. As they approached the bar he would stop cleaning the glass, and ask them a question, "What can I do for you two?"
"Ah'll take mah usual n' Ah'll pay the tab fer' whatever this gorgeous woman wants." He would say, gesturing to Evelynn. The bartender would nod, and look to Evelynn waiting for her to order, and once she ordered he would go and retrieve whatever drinks they desired. While they waited, Twisted Fate would turn to Evelynn and ask one simple question, "So tell me, Eve, what have ya' been up ta' all this time? Ah' don't reckon' ya' ever gave me an answer."

Evelynn grinned as she entered the room and saw the looks people gave her, fear, attraction and confusion. The Widowmaker ignored the attention she received as she entered, her golden eyes glanced about the tavern to take in the surroundings. She shrugged, it was better than a few places she had been to in her time. The blue woman moved with Twisted Fate toward the bar, amusement flickered in her gaze as it passed over the shocked look of the bar tender but she remained silent until he asked what she wanted, she smiled, her fangs glinting in the light cast from the oil lanterns, "Rum dear, a bottle and a glass. The most... expensive you have." She chuckled and looked to Twisted Fate, in their past relationship Evelynn had always had expensive tastes, though she never expected the best, she was known to ask for it when given the option and even though she never flaunted it, she was by far one of the most wealthy assassins upon Valoran so she could definitely afford what she wanted when she wanted. But today, it seemed, she would make Twisted Fate buy.
When asked what she had been up to, Evelynn blinked, she had been twisted into working with the Black Rose against the Ruined King, allying with Swain and pretending to remain loyal to the Ruined King. Involved in the Shadow Isles invasion and a few other activities that would never be brought to light, the last time they had seen one another was at a card game upon an airship along with Graves, sky and another girl Evelynn never got to know. She just gave him a coy smile, "A bit of this, a bit of that..." she purred with a sultry wink, "And what of you?"

The bartender would go and fetch what the two (in)famous champions had ordered in a hurry, after all it would be unwise to keep such powerful individuals waiting. Evelyn might have caught the slightest bead of sweat drip from his forehead when he saw her rather sharp fangs, and she might notice a sense of urgency in his footsteps. The Cardmaster on the other hand was not surprised by Evelynn's request she always expected the best, though in the back of his mind he knew that this might cost him a bit of his coin purse....maybe he could strike a deal with the bartender? Oh well he would cross that bridge when Destiny set it in front of him.
At her sultry purr, Twisted Fate's ears started paying very close attention. Needless to say they were a little disappointed when Evelynn kept her past agenda secret. After all Twisted Fate was always in the market for information, and recent news from behind closed door meetings. From under his hat he would raise an eyebrow as he stared at Evelynn before concluding if the wanted more...he might have to say something first, "Well, Ah' reckon' Ah' could tell ya' a few tales. Ya' know how Vi escaped from Piltover couple months back?" He would ask, before the returning steps of the bartender caught his attention. The man returned with the most expensive and fine rum he had in stock, surprisingly imported from Bilgewater. Meanwhile the man placed a bottle of Demacian Fire whiskey to The Cardmaster, it would a treat that Twisted Fate would indulge in whenever he was in Demacia. The man would reach behind the bar and produce two glasses for the two to pour their drinks in. The man would bow before stepping back and attending to the other patrons of the bar.
"Anyways, as Ah' was sayin' before, Vi's escape from Piltover happened a couple months back. N' Ah' happened ta' be in the area, n' me bein' the gentleman Ah' was...Ah' offered ta' help her out of the situation."He explained before adding, "What an adventure that was, full of surprises that Destiny did not warn me bout'. Otherwise, Ah' never would have helped her in the first place."

Evelynn sipped her drink as she crossed her legs and leaned back, her foot swung idly back and forth as her molten gold eyes watching Twisted Fate while he spoke of Vi and Piltover. The smallest of smirks touched her lips as she spoke, "Ever the ladies man." She purred, "More regrets, Fate? My my, aren't you doing well lately?"
The Widowmaker placed her glass upon the table and cast her gaze around the room, her golden eyes glinting in the dull light. Without much warning she would stand from the table and grin, holding out a slender blue hand to Twisted Fate, "Remember how we used to dance?"

Twisted Fate shrugged a bit at her statement about regrets, "Not regrets per se, but just unforeseen circumstances. Though Ah' did get a deal out of one of the more influential individuals in Piltover, or Zaun." He would say taking another drink of fire whisky letting it wash down his throat. His golden eyes followed Evelynn stand and she offered him a hand. Asking him if he remembered how they used to dance.
"How could Ah' ever forget those moments that Ah' spent with such a beautiful woman such as yer'self Eve." Twisted Fate replied as he took her hand, and he rose from the stool. He would let her lead for now, at least until they began to dance. Then he might take the lead, but he would be more than willing to share.

Evelynn took Twisted Fate's hand in her own, smiling slightly as she lead him toward an area within the center of the room, a single look laced with morbid intentions toward the patrons caused many to tense as her gaze fell upon them, "You all can move your tables away so that my special friend and I can have a little dance..." She grinned showing her fang-like teeth before uttering a sinister hiss, "Understand?"
At once the sound of tables and chairs being dragged along the floors filled the air while those present rushed to get out of the Widowmaker's way, with a sincere smile she turned back to Twisted Fate, Evelynn's eyes glinting as she chuckled, amused by the fear she had caused, she would then guide Twisted Fate toward the center of the rough circle that had been created by the pushed tables, "You're leading." she stated while smiling up at him.

Twisted Fate smiled, though even he shivered a bit at Evelynn's threat, and the patrons were wise to do as she ordered. Evelynn had quite the way with words, and if those failed, she still had her fangs and claws to tear up those unfortunate enough to cross her. He saw that evil glint in her eyes, and he merely shook his head chuckling as he did. Somethings never change, do they? Eve will always enjoy causing fear in one's very soul. He let her lead him to the middle of the rough circle that was hastily formed moments ago. Then she simply turned to him, and claimed that he would be the one leading.
At this the conman merely smiled at her, "Ah'd never thought Ah'd hear those words come out of yer' pretty mouth Eve." He would say, before quickly adding, "But befer' we begin...there is just one small thin' we need." With that said he would remove his hat, and draw out two bright red roses. He carefully placed one in Eve's hair, very close to her left ear. Then he placed the stem of the other rose in his mouth, before placing one hand on Evelynn's waist and taking her hand once more. He imagines the music playing in the background as he took a lunging stance. This was one of the couple's lesser known routines, but he was almost positive Evelynn would remember it. He would give the blue-skinned seductress a moment to realize the routine, and prepare herself. Once she was ready, they would begin.
The dance would begin by Twisted Fate adjusting his hands, in preparation for Eve's first move. Then after she completed her first move, he would quickly switch the leg that he was lunging with as Eve would spin back. Then the pair would switch places, and pause for a brief moment. Twisted Fate's golden eyes would stare into Eve's as he moved his leg in a circular movement behind his other one. Now it was the Widowmaker's turn to lead.

Evelynn smiled as the rose was placed in her ear, for once in a long time, it was not one of sadistic pleasure or morbid amusement but a soft almost warm smile that very few save for Twisted fate had ever seen more than once, if at all. She allowed him to lead for some time, dancing to a tune that none but the two of them could hear, she locked eyes with him as they done so, her golden eyes burning brightly with excitement. The two would dance for as long as they could undisturbed or until Twisted Fate grew tired and wished to stop. Many of the patrons watched on as they danced, some concerned about what would happen when they stopped and Evelynn was no longer entertained. Others however were entranced by the movements, it was clear the two had a sort of chemistry between them, the way they danced gave that much a way at least. But there was a glint of sadness in Evelynn's eyes that none but Twisted Fate could see deep behind the smile.
She wondered if Twisted Fate knew of the real reason she dumped him so suddenly, she doubted it. But Twisted Fate understood her like none other, her made her feel somewhat human again, not something she would ever admit. But she had liked the warmth she felt while with him...

The one dance turned into another dance, and then into a third one. Flowing from routine to the next, however after the third tune that only The Widowmaker and The Cardmaster could hear they would come to a stop. A few beads of sweat ran down the gypsy's cheek, the sound of applause began to fill the tavern as patrons gave began to genuinely clap at the impromptu performance the two had put on before them. Others clapped out of fear what the blue-skinned beauty would do to them if they did not. A wise move on their part, after all an angry Evelynn was something that even Twisted Fate feared. However, as he looked into her eyes the gypsy could see something behind the smile she had. There was sadness hidden deep inside those eyes, perhaps she felt the same way as he did after they broke up. If so....why not come back to him like she did when they had their downs before that fateful day. He would have accepted her with open arms just like he did before...what kept her away this time.
He would offer a humble bow to the surrounding audience, before leading Eve to their previous seats. Giving the barkeeper a glance that he should stay away from those seats if he values his life. Granted, Twisted Fate was not threatening him, Eve would be the one that would take his life if he crossed her. After there was ample space between the other patrons and the dancers, Twisted Fate would life his hat so Evelynn could see his golden eyes that looked into her molten ones. He decided that he would voice his concern, "What's the matter, Eve. Ah've never seen ya' down when we were dancin'. Ya' know ya' can tell me anythin'."

Though Twisted Fate was still the only dancer she had found capable of keeping up with her, Evelynn still had the stamina to continue. She smiled softly however as their final dance came to a close, something about dancing always lifted her spirits and took her mind of things. Though the activity itself was rather intense, she found it to be one of the most relaxing things next to drawing in the pain of others and bathing in it.
She walked silently back to her seat, a pleased smile upon her lips. She hadn't danced and lost herself in it for some time, she had almost forgotten what it was like to be so in sync with someone that the whole world melted away, only she and the person she chose to share her passion with capable of hearing the music. Those who couldn't hear the beat they danced to wouldn't even know the half of what she felt. It was a human feeling, untainted by her lust for anguish, pleasure, not laced with agony.
But as they seated themselves, and he voiced his concern for her the smile slipped away replaced by a look one would almost never see resting upon her face. She hadn't a clue how to respond. Dancing always seemed to make the inhuman predatory aura she conveyed slip away, part of the reason she never done it with any other than TF. Even while teaching at the Demacian school, she hadn't danced with the students she taught like she danced with Twisted Fate, "Nothing's wrong." she stated simply, yet as she spoke a nail bore into the wooden table, she smiled softly, she didn't want this to become a sappy spilling of feelings and was rather amused at how it was turning out.

The Cardmaster watched Eve's face carefully, and stole a glance to the hand on the counter when he heard something tearing into the wood. The confused look on her face, and the fact that one of her nails was cutting through the wood told him everything he needed know. Something was very wrong.....she just didn't want to say it. She had a reputation to uphold, but perhaps there was something that she did not want to tell him. Well...Twisted Fate did not want to see her sad, but at the same time he needed to know what was wrong before he could try to make her feel a bit better. He would place his hand on the hand that Evelynn had on the counter, and grip it softly. He lifted his hat enough that she would be able to see his golden eyes stare into her molten ones. A soft, yet confident smile crossed his face, "Eve, mah dear beautiful Eve, ya' know ya' can't hide anythin' from these eyes. N' we can always go fer' a walk if that would be better." He would whisper to her in a soft and caring voice. By walk he clearly meant somewhere where there were less prying eyes, after all it was clear that this was private matter. He wasn't sure what was bugging Evelynn at this moment, and maybe she did not feel comfortable talking about it. If it made her want to walk away then he would drop the topic, and they could enjoy the rest of their evening. Destiny was simply saying that it wasn't meant to be...not this day if that became the case.
The Cardmaster was not sure if he could stand to watch her walk away with his questions unanswered again. It took him months to recover the pieces of his heart, and he still knew that many of them were missing. Those pieces were still held by the blue skinned seductress with the molten eyes that he was currently staring into. His heart tended to ache whenever he thought about her, which was the reason why he knew his heart had yet to fully recover. Destiny had sent all the signs with her, but when she walked away....he felt so lost. If she intended to walk away....well maybe he wouldn't drop it. This time he wouldn't be lost in her words, and watch her fade into the shadows. This time....he would be getting the "why"

Her eyes lingered on the wood where small shavings were beginning to peel around her nail as she twisted it back and forth, then she felt the warmth of his hand envelop her other. She glanced at him only to see the golden irises looking back at her, worry? She looked back to her hand, had it been anyone else she would have toyed with them, made them feel like a fool for caring. Some would assume it would be some sort of psychological defense, but in fact, she just liked to toy with people. But when it came to TF, she didn't. She didn't know if it was his luck that made her feel this way, made her not want to break him into a hundred pieces just to watch him squirm, or it was genuine like for the guy.
She shifted her gaze around the bar at all the patrons, she chewed the inside of her cheek anxiously, feeling uncomfortable something that almost never happened. She rose from her seat with a quick nod and began moving toward the exit, with or without Twisted Fate.
