June 27th 23 CLE
A certain gypsy was wandering through Granoa Park, a place that held some rather painful memories for him. Though he had to admit the place had lost some of its charm, most likely due to the invasion of the Shadow Isles. He remembered his last date with Evelynn how as the sun set...so do their relationship, but unlike the sun...it never rose again.
The depressed Cardmaster recalled how she kissed his neck before slipping away into the shadows. After that contact with her had been random at best, but it was not the kind of random that Twisted Fate could control. The blue-skinned beauty always teased him with the aspect of control, because there were many things Twisted Fate could control. Hands in poker for example, and to some extent how others react to him.
Then their was shared passion for dancing, only she could match his moves without communication. They were quite a scene on the dance floor. Twisted Fate sighed before taking a seat and looking around the park. Wondering what to do next? He had been wandering a bit around Runeterra, defeating all others at cards, but as of right now. He was a little lost.

A pair of glowing molten yellow eyes could be seen as a certain blue skinned seductress stepped forth from the shadows, her eyebrows raised as she grins, her fang-like teeth glinting in the shadows. Her eyes trained on the gambit as she slowly walked toward him, sadistic curiosity in her eyes.
"What is the gambler doing in a place like this?" She muses out loud with a singsong voice, "Reminiscing on past romances perhaps? Wondering what he done wrong to make her leave?"
She was now only a few feet behind him, her head tilted to the side. A flicker of sadness flits through her eyes as she watches him..

Twisted Fate heard the faint clicking of high heels on a solid surface. While many noblewomen wore such shoes, the clicking these made were very distinct. There was a certain almost sadistic intent behind these..a sadistic intent that belonged to a blue skin seductress, one who left him in this park on a rather cold evening. However, Twisted Fate pretended not to notice her approach until she spoke to him.
"Thinking of what Destiny has in store for him, n' what it has done to him." Twisted Fate replied to her first question before adding the answer to her other two questions, "Reminiscin' over past romances, and wondering what he did wrong? Yeah, n' sometimes he counts his stupid mistakes n' calls himself an idiot for makin' em. That and wonderin' what mistakes he may have made in this one too."
The Cardmaster titled his head back and looked up at Evelynn, fortunately for her he missed the flicker of sadness in her eyes. "N' what is the famous Widowmaker doin' in these parts? Ah' figured after the invasion Demacia would be on high alert if ya', not that Ah'm one ta' talk." He said offering her a small smile.

"Oh?" She smiled as she stopped, still standing behind him, "What has little old destiny done to you this time?" She then adds with a fairly mocking tone, "Finally lose a gamble?"
Evelynn walked around the bench and stood in front of him, an eyebrow raised and a slight smirk upon her blue features. Her golden eyes however watched him intently, any humor on her face was not showing in her eyes. She put a good show, but someone like Twisted Fate, used to reading poker faces, would easily be able to tell she was somewhat worried, even if it was on the tiniest of levels.

From under his hat Twisted Fate cocked an eyebrow at Evelynn, and looked into her eyes. Anyone else would assume that The Widowmaker was just trying to get her kicks off The Cardmaster's suffering, but Twisted Fate saw something else. Even if she kept it very well hidden and only a minuscule amount of worry coulld be seen in her golden eyes. It puzzled The Cardmaster, but he just rubbed the back of his neck before answering the blue skinned assassin's question.
"Ah' ain't the one who lost the gamble, Eve, but Destiny hasn't be treatin' mah' love too well. Ah' fear somethin' happened ta' her, but The Master of Shadows guards his secrets well, either that or mah friend in Ionia is just incompetent. Ah'd rather say Zed is the smarter of the two. Zed's forcin' Mai, the woman Ah love, into many bad situations n' recently our most reliable form of communication has ended. Ah'm just worried n' Ah don't know how ta' fix the problem." Twisted Fat'es hands clasped together and his boots began to grind into the ground. He was obviously a bit frustrated, "Destiny has yet ta' give me an answer or vision either. She's been rather quite, which is even more worryin'."

Evelynn's expression darkens somewhat when he mentions the woman he loved, the same woman from the Ionian festival all those months ago? She hisses as her eyes narrow at TF, it was clear there was a level of jealousy there, "Poor little thing, I wonder how deep he's cutting her."
She waves her hand in a dismissive manner, "Maybe your luck with the ladies has finally run out dear." She looks at him and grins, "Move on? Find someone else to play with."
Evelynn had heard Swain and Zed were had an alliance, so too did Evelynn and Swain, not that it was well known at all. Her had to do with the Shadow Isles and making sure Swain was informed.

And there goes the look of pity Evelynn had and it was replaced by a look that Twisted Fate was far more familiar with. Twisted Fate looked at her and unclasped his hands and the sound of his boots grinding into the ground stopped. Only after she offered a dismissive wave he would reply to the Widowmaker.
"Ah' think ya' n' Ah both know how well Ah' "move on. Ever since ya' left me in this park....well Ah'm sure ya' know the story as well as Ah' do." The gypsy replied before confidently adding, "Eve, Ah' don't ever run out of luck...if Ah' did it would have been long ago. Though is that a bit of jealousy Ah' detect in yer' voice? Perhaps there is something ya' would like ta' tell me, cheri?" Eve's ex-boyfriend offered her a sly smile, it was always an issue hiding things from The Cardmaster.

Evelynn gave the Cardmaster a smug smile, "Didn't run out of luck? Then why couldn't you keep me dear?" She rolled her eyes however when he asked about the slight jealous tone she had. She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow, simply watching Twisted Fate, her molten gold eyes never leaving his face. She tapped her heel upon the ground and looked away briefly, "No. No jealousy at all for her. Simply wished to cut her myself." she lied while still looking away, she moved her gaze back to TF, "Nothing to tell, little gambler, what are you implying?"

Twisted Fate frowned a bit when she mentioned how they broke up, "Destiny didn't want me ta' keep ya'...at that time, who knows if Destiny has changed it's mind." The gypsy replied, but he noted when Evelynn looked away that something wasn't quite right. While he answer fit her character, her body language suggested otherwise. That told him he struck a nerve or he was on the right track.
"I'm only implyin' one thing, Eve, n' maybe ya' miss the times we danced together n' perhaps you long fer' one last dance?" Twisted Fate said, the suggestion was obviously there. Perhaps he could learn more about why Evelynn broke up with him, and he might finally be able to fill the hole in his heart. "Of course if a beautiful women like yer'self were ta' make an equal offer, Ah would be unable to decline. After all Ah'm a gentleman."

"Destiny had nothing to do with it, Cardmaster." She stated, the sliver of sadness in her eyes that none but TF would pick up on was still here. She eventually laughed and gave him a coy smile, "One last dance, dear little gambler?" The Widowmaker gently taps her bottom lip with a long slender finger, her eyes seemed to almost glint in the light, "And what will we dance to hmm?" She begins clapping to the beat of TF's heart as though she could hear it as clear as day, "Dance a tango to your heart beat?"

"Destiny had nothin ta' do with it, huh?" Twisted Fate replied with a curious tone behind it. The question was clearly there, now it was up to The Widowmaker if she would have the heart to answer it, or would she rather lead the sad gypsy on like a horse and the carrot. Always keeping it in his sight, but dangling just out of reach. Then she began to clap and suggested that they use his heart as their tempo. Twisted Fate put a hand on his chest and felt his heartbeat...it was a sad and painful beat. His heart wasn't up for being used as tempo for a passionate dance like the Tango.
"Ah'm afraid mah heart just ain't up ta' bein' used as a tempo fer' a passionate dance like Tango, cheri. Maybe, we could find somethin' else? Course' Ah reckon' ya' ain't so popular round' here due ta' recent events." Not that the gypsy was one to talk, seeing of how Demacian guards tended to attack him on sight. He looked around to ensure there weren't any prying eyes watching them. Which as far as Twisted Fate could tell there were not, the two were alone in the park.

Evelynn couldn't help but feel somewhat disappointed when he turned down her suggestion, she had always found dancing to the beat of ones heart oddly, satisfying. She sighs and twirls a few strands of pink hair around her finger as she tilted her head to the side slightly, "Oh? Recent events? Whatever do you mean?" She asked, blatantly oblivious as to what he was implying. None had seen her during the invasion, only under the affects of Paranoia had she shown herself at all, and even then no one got a decent look at her.
She smirks, "I always could get that heart of yours racing..." she says thoughtfully, "Perhaps I can do so again?" she chuckled and looked over her shoulder at the city behind them, "Maybe a drink or two?"

Twisted Fate scratched the back of his head when Evelynn began to twirl her pink hair around a finger. Twisted Fate had come to realize that meant she was disappointed......and dammit he didn't like disappointing a woman. However, she suddenly shifted the topic and acted like she wasn't involved at all with the invasion.
"Well, Ah' reckon that perhaps that's fer' the better. Means that the guards are only after one of us, or a rather famous con man, unless of course they might dislike ya' fer' some other reason." Twisted Fate said, which was good to know because it meant that Evelynn was safe for the most part. You know his heart did suddenly feel up to being used as the tempo for a dance.
"Ya' know what Evelynn, Ah' reckon' mah heart might just be up ta' be the tempo ta' our dance after all. Now only one question remains, where shall we begin? Here in the park or perhaps a more reserved and quite place?" The champion asked the blue skinned seductress, and his left hand wrapped around Evelynn's waist, "Or would ya' rather we go out n' get a few drinks before we dance?"
Post by The Widowmaker on Jul 29, 2013 1:56:48 GMT -5
Evelynn placed a hand upon the one that now rested on her waist, she smirked as she heard the heartbeat from this close. The Widowmaker would pull away ever so slightly, her hand remaining upon his, "I think a few drinks would be nice... For old times sake." She smiled and looked off to the side, actual happiness in her eyes for once, but there was something else there to. Fear. It was subtle, so subtle in fact that even TF might miss it. She had her reasons for abandoning him all that time ago, not that she allowed anyone to know about them.

"Yes, fer' old times sake." Twisted Fate replied offering the blue skinned woman a charming smile as her hand touched his. He still had his charms, that's for sure. He could see the happiness in Evelynn's eyes, and that was good enough for him. They would remember the good old days, and leave the bad ones to rot in their subconscious...hopefully to be forgotten.
"Well Ah' happen ta' know a place, it's a little rundown, but Ah' vouch fer' the drinks. Not ta' mention the guards don't often stop by, so we don't have ta' worry bout' an early ending ta' our evenin'." Twisted Fate replied, and he began to walk with his hand still on her to the place he spoke of. It wasn't too far, but for now he would enjoy the time with a very old friend.
