Deep within the deserts of Shurima lies an underground chain of chambers that is host to three equally unique bandits. The entrance is covered by a camouflaged tarp to prevent travelers and even bounty hunters from stumbling upon it. For the few that are privy to the hideou's existence can easily detect its location and remove the tarp to enter the structure.
Descending down a flight of stone steps leads to a large antechamber that serves as the center and connected to it by narrow hallways and corridors leads to an assortment of other rooms. The hideaway acts as a home and includes the necessary supplies to survive such as sleeping quarters, food storages, clean water and also provides the necessary shelter from the threat of both the natural elements and from mankind.
The walls themselves are built from sandstone, an easy enough resource to find. The walls are held up by pillars and though the 'stronghold' does not run deep underground, there are both tunnels and rooms a plenty for weapons and goods a bandit would normally gather on an expedition.

Ray entered the collection of chambers only to make his way directly to a nearby table, putting down a map and a paper with a certain females face on it. He made his work for the equipment room to grab the supplies he'd need for the trip. The opening and closing of doors could be heard all throughout the establishment.

James was in the middle of reading a tome the trio managed to snag from the estate of some cat eared kid in Piltover when he heard noise in the hideout, noise typically meant preparing for a heist. And since he hadn't been informed of a heist that meant he was being excluded, and he was NOT a fan of that. So he put on his hood and went off to find out who was excluding him
It led him to the equipment room where he found Ray packing supplies, which lead him to casually announce his presence with a light cough.
"So, you're packing for a trip. Anything interesting?"

Ray continue to look for things he might need, then replied without turning.
"Just a simple bounty hunt."
As he said that he instantly turned for a roll of wire.
"Its weird, the target is another person with animal ears, just like that kid from a few months ago. Contact wants the target alive, probably to fulfill some kind of fantasy or something..."
Ray was satisfied with what he had prepared himself with and went back into the main room to the picture of the target.
"Her name is, Ahri. No last name, apparently a champion of the league."

Jame's facial expression turned to a grin as Ray said the words "bounty hunt" and "champion" causing his eyes to glimmer slightly and speak expectedly.
"She's a mage. And a powerful one at that... you're going to need someone who knows their stuff with magic if you want a chance at catching her."
Ray didn't look back while speaking to James. "If only i knew somebody with an extensive knowledge of magic."
Reaching around the table, Ray pulled out a second bag. It was empty except for the bare essentials; food, water, money. He threw it to James before looking back at the picture. "Gear up."
Taking a final look at the picture he muttered to himself. "Not too bad looking..."

James caught the bag and grinned. It had been awhile since they had gone after a bounty on a mage, even better this was a champion. A truly excellent test to see how much more powerful he had gotten with his time spent with Ray and Kin in this trio. He returned to his room and grabbed his staff along with the tome he was previously reading, page 26. At the end of this opening chapter he'd begin learning a focusing spell, maybe it'd help him out with this task.
He came back to equipment room, bag strapped to his back with staff in hand.
"Let's get moving, shall we?"

There was something troubling about the way their 'client' had contacted them. He had not made his intentions clear, only that their target was a Champion and a rather... slippery one at that. Kin didn't make it a hobby of hers to follow the life and times of the Institute but even she had heard of the infamous trickster known as Ahri. This fox creature had terrorized the better half of Ionia (though really, a better word to use would be 'seduce'). It would be difficult to decide what to do. On one hand, returning to her homeland may spell certain doom for her. But on the other, there was a chance that the Shadow Order would have completely forgotten about her little... escapade.
Kin sighed. Well, it wouldn't make much difference. James and Ray would go, whether she wanted to or not. It would be difficult to catch a fox of her... reputation. Not just for her ability to apparently draw people to her just by her mere presence, but also for the fact that she was a mage. Which shouldn't pose much of a problem, but being a Champion of the League meant you were probably a little more than capable with your talents. She sighed again. Well, this may give her the opportunity to revisit some of her finer goals in life.
She readjusted her cloak and made sure her boots were on tight enough before grabbing her pack which held most necessities. After all, it was just another hunt. Kin smiled. After their rather (odd) successful heist in Piltover, she was eager to move once more. After the bag was hefted onto her shoulder, she picked up her weapons, all clean and polished. A soft whistle began to play as she twirled one of the scythes playfully before catching the handle within her palm. Kin glanced around the room she called home. Bare, but perhaps this trip would find her something worthy as a decoration.
Kin nodded to herself before walking out and into the main room where her companions were. She caught the tail end of the conversation, "Leaving without me?" She said, tucking her kusarigama into her bag. She has yet to find a good enough placeholder for them, thinking it easier to just carry them around wherever she went. Though it would be rather suspicious if she waltzed into Ionia with a pair of sickle blades. "You know how well the last time that went when you did that."
There was a voice he hadn't expected to hear. Ray turned to see his other partner already packed for the journey. He hadn't planned for her to accompany him, seeing as she had a shady past in Ionia. He wasn't sure she would want to return to her homeland. Thinking on his feet, he played the situation off. "I was actually just about to go get you."
Ray cringed as he remembered the last heist without Kin's help. "Don't remind me..."
Slinging his rifle onto his back and holstering his side arms, he picked up his bag of supplies and showed the two the travel path they'd be taking. "We'll be heading to Morgan's pass as soon as the sunsets, assuming you two don't want to walk in the sun. Then, we'll head along the base of the tempest flats until we hit Noxus. From there we'll pay for a boat ride to Ionia."
Took a breath after explaining the path. "Sound good?"

James too turned to notice Kin, getting a bit ahead of himself and forgetting her initially with thoughts of challenging a champion. Showing a grin as Ray handled the situation, he supposed it would be nice to have her with them since she knew her way around from what little he knew about her backstory. He chuckled a bit as she reminded them of the last time they decided not to bring her on a heist.
"Cmon, it wasn't THAT bad. Besides, we had fun with it didn't we?"
He stayed silent while Ray explained how they would be getting to Ionia until he mentioned Noxus, showing a frown about going back to his city-state, but it wasn't like anyone would recognize him for their brief time there but he decided to play it off with his usual humor.
"Doesn't matter to me, if we leave before the sunset it would give me a chance to work on my tan, been lookin' a little pale recently. But that sound's fine with me, maybe I'll see a few familiar faces while we get a boat in Noxus."

Kin laughed airily at Ray's valiant attempts in downplaying their bout of forgetfulness. "I would have appreciated it," she responded easily. Glancing at the map which was spread out on the table, she shifted a little closer to take a look at where they were headed. "Ionia looks smaller on paper," she commented, though it was more in amusement than in actual wonder. It was always surprising to see how the little islands seemed to pale in comparison to the much larger mainland - more so when she realized that she had traveled so far.
As Ray moved to collect his belongings, she took it upon herself to collect the map and the picture. Another glance seemed to confirm her thoughts. Dark hair with a pair of animal ears settled quite neatly on top. What the Ionians call a kumiho, though she wasn't quite sure what that was. As the map was rolled up and slipped neatly into her bag, she shrugged. "We're used to the sun, aren't we?" Kin didn't much agree with traveling during the night, but she knew it was probably best they remained hidden.
Before she went and agreed with the sniper, her attention turned to her other companion. The hooded man who went by the name of James. Who had just answered with something that startled her. "Looking a little pale? Well... I don't think we can tell either way," she said casually. Kin felt like it was a ritual now, to poke fun at the fact that James never seemed to go anywhere without covering up the vast majority of his face. It was quite disconcerting to talk to a pitch black hole. "But I'll take your word for it."
Hoisting his bag onto the opposite shoulder as his rifle, he thought it over and now saw no reason to wait. All three of them had endured the Shuriman sun before. "I suppose you're right, we'll head out immediately."
Ray pulled his mask over his face and chuckled as he played along with a joke. "Besides, it would be truly criminal to deny James' his well deserved tanning time. To be honest, a darker shade of black would look really nice on you, James."

James's eye's grew wide as Kin addressed him, seemingly shocked that she couldn't tell how simply amazing he would look with a tan.
"Yes, pale. You don't really think I wear this much clothing ALL the time do you?" He snickered before making sure he had everything in his bag then flashing a glowing smile to Ray.
"See Kin? Ray gets me. But enough jokin around, let's get that bounty shall we friends?"
Post by Yamizawa Kin on Sept 12, 2013 8:11:37 GMT -5
Kin couldn't help it. A rather delicate sounding snort sounded, the kind of sound a desert shrew would make after losing their next meal except in this instance, it was more at James' complete lack of tact. She wasn't quite sure if he was mocking her or simply joking around. In Ionia, there were equal parts action, speech and expression. Though she heard the words and could imagine the snicker, she could not see the face. Assumption could only take her so far. So she simply shrugged thinly. "From what I've seen, I'm willing to bet you do." Though Kin didn't quite want to imagine what 'shower time' meant for James and she wisely moved away from that topic.
She turned to Ray, "Criminal, you say?" A thin eyebrow was quirked in amusement, "Then it would suit us." But it held no meaning. Just another quip. She followed suit, pulling up her mask to cover the lower part of her face. The other two preferred full masks it seemed but she was rather amused by the looks she got when people realized how startling both the color of her eyes and hair was - especially after being told she was Ionian. After Kin had fully settled the material, she moved her hand up to tug at the leather currently resting on her forehead. The 'sight guards'. Once satisfied it was secure, she returned her attention once more to Ray.
"We'll see just how dark you get then," she responded pleasantly before making her way to the exit. "I simply hope we are rewarded handsomely for this trouble we are about to endure." Her last words were said quietly, almost in a murmur to herself. It was not the money she was concerned about, but the fact that she had not told her partners the full extent of her history. Only that she could not return to Ionia unless she wanted to die. Though she had only known the men for a short while, she did not want to drag anyone into her own mess.
