Wukong let the staff roll down his arms and back before swinging it in front of him, quickly seeming to step into the shards before looking to bat them away with a swift motion. The monkey seems to idle a moment with a cheerful grin as if he were waiting for her to try again, but before she might, the real Wukong would appear behind her, aiming to slam his shoulder into her back and send her forward onto her stomach.

Cordellia frowned as the monkey king bat aside her shards as though they were nothing. The shards spin back to the blade, reconnecting with the sword. She went to move again, to try a more aggressive move against the playful monkey. Only to feel a force a staggering force slam into her unprotected back. It was clear that she couldn't sense the presence of others, or rather, she blocked it out in order to focus on one target.
She stumbled forward, going down on one knee instead of actually dropping to her stomach, training in Demacia along with her own spiritmight style had given her fairly decent balance. She spins on her knee with a frustrated growl, sweeping her sword out in a horizontal arc behind her in an attempt to catch the monkey king off guard. How was she supposed to hit the tricky monkey?!
As Cordellia's stopped herself from falling onto her stomach, Wukong couldn't help but smile a little broader. He watched her as sword came back around, dropping the staff in it's path as one foot came up to plant directly against the side of her head. A rather jovial chuckle would escape him as he pushed his foot forward trying to knock her back onto the ground.
"Hehe. Don't think." He said with a grin, "Just react."

Her eyes go wide as she feels her blade stopped by the staff... And then she feels the foot against the side of her head, "Oh for the love of--" She would feel the force of his foot push her completely of balance. She turns awkwardly so she landed on her rear with a soft grunt, looking up at the King before her. An annoyed glare being shoot at the monkey. She was tense, far to tense to react fast enough against someone like Wukong. Almost immediately she pointed her sword at him, for the next three seconds a series of shards would shoot back and forth attempting to wound him, even if it was only a little.
Wukong laughed as he tapped the staff against his shoulder, seeming to be enjoying this a bit too much. However as the shards started shooting off towards him, he'd quickly begin to try to deflect them. He manages to knock a few off, but quite a few land, slicing deep across his furry skin leaving thick trails of blood dripping off his form.
As the violent assault on him ends, he'd lean forward a bit on his staff with a small wince, "Heh."
Until the real one appears directly in front of Cordellia. His lips puckered, eyes wide, and his finger pressing rather roughly against her forehead to push her back - again - onto her rump.
A rather loud laugh escapes the monkey as he dances around a bit, turning quickly back to Cordellia with a cheek grin, "Neat!" He commented, "But is that all you got?"

Cordellia felt a sense of pride as she realized she had actually hit the monkey king, the technique itself was fairly taxing on her energy. She was panting slightly, but could easily keep going for now. Cordellia smiled a little pleased with herself...
Until the real one appeared, Cordellia let out a yelp as he appeared before her, her eyes growing wide from shock... And then he pushed her down again. She groans rolling her eyes, not bothering to try get back up, "Bloody monkey." She muttered to herself, before laying down with an annoyed pout upon her lips. She stared up at the ceiling, frustrated. She sighs, the monkey king seemed to simply be playing with her. Maybe she should... She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, relaxing as she lay there.
She sat up, if she was going to lose, she might as well try have fun with it. Wukong seemed to. She smiles at the monkey, "No..." Her sword looked to simply fall to pieces, shards falling around her clattering to the floor. "Oops." Without warning they would suddenly dart toward Wukong, Cordellia moving after them with a slight smile on her face, should they be deflected or blocked, Cordellia would cause them to return to the hilt and follow with a lunge to his shoulder.
He watched her lay there with frustration, taking a step back to offer an even cheekier smile. Wu twirled his staff, remaining shirtless and letting the long braid move slightly with his head before settling down along the length of his back. His tail dancing lightly, the tip seeming the most active as he waited for Cordelia to get to a stand.
As her sword fell apart, he gave her a curious look before immediately stepping in to begin swinging his staff rapidly around him. Many of the shards would catch and be deflected with ease, some making it passed the rapidly moving swings and cutting against his skin again. With a chuckle, he'd sidestep her lunge, pivoting slightly to bring the staff around aimed for her back. Should it strike, it would be enough force to send her toppling forward at the very least.
"Just feel it, Cordelia." He advised her, letting a bit of blood drip from the cuts left behind by the shards. He seemed to be really enjoying this despite the tiny stings. None of the shards embedded into him. They would have gone passed him.

Cordellia stumbled forward as the staff connected with her back, sending her to her knees once more. She looks over her shoulder, trying to hide the frustration in her eyes. Just feel it? Of course she bloody felt it! She lowered her head and sighed, shaking it. She just couldn't be as carefree as him when it came to combat, Demacian military drilling discipline into her skull, such pressure to be perfect, to be strong enough it was always weighing down on her.
She stood and faced the Monkey King, her sword reforming completely. It was clearly draining her to attack and form her blade in such a way, with such an unrefined force of will. Just feel it? She was getting extremely impatient, but she had to admit... Being with someone so carefree, it was refreshing. Despite the frustration she felt herself beginning to enjoy it. She had to find a different angle of attack...
"Alright." She fires two small shards off from her sword blatantly missing, one on either side of him, simply passing by. She would then fire a series of smaller shards toward Wukong, while he was distracted with those she would reach out and pull the initial two that missed toward the monkey king, trying to hit him from behind.
Wu stood still as the two flew passed him, having guestimated the course of their projection. As smaller ones came at him, he started to twirl the staff in front of him, looking ever cheekier as they appeared to deflect.
However as the two came back, he'd pause and step forward feeling them pierce into his back. He's take another step closer to her, before stumbling into her to grab onto Cordelia, "Ah--ah..." Slowly sinking to the ground, the monkey appeared to turn to stone..
Did she just... kill him? If she looked, the shards appeared to have pierced deep into his back. But enough to kill him?
Behind her, Wu would smack her on the back of the head and laugh, "Two can play that game!" He said with a hint of excitement. Tricksy human. The clone would vanish and Wu would step around in front of her, leaning in really close with a glimmer in his eye, "How much does it take to move those things?" He questioned, "As much as it takes for me to use a clone?"

When it was apparent she had him, she smirked, somewhat proud of herself as he sunk to the ground. Worry would fill her eyes however when he slowly began turning to stone, she didn't move simply watching. There wasn't anything she could do.
The came the hit to the back of the head, worry vanished in an instant, "Ah! What the--" She paused and gave him a blank stare as he stepped in front of her, "Jerk." she would mutter. She didn't lean back or attempt to move away as he lent in close to her, she would just look back into his eyes and shrug, "It uses a lot... I was never really taught how to have it not drain my energy so much, the shard style of fighting is self taught..."
The monkey Hmmmed as he pressed his finger against his lower lip, "If you're that tired after using those, then maybe you should consider other alternatives." He shifted the finger to press against her nose, before standing up straight, "I know! I'll help you learn to refine your energy a bit!" Wu said excitedly, "We'll go peach harvesting!"
What on earth could be mean? What sort of trickery did the monkey have in mind? He'd straighten with the staff across his shoulders again, lazily resting his arms along them with his hands hanging loosely near the ends. Much like before. "Hmmm.. Think of your energy as.. a peach! As you cut a slice off, you have a certain amount left. Each time you break a shard off, you should be using less energy." He nods sagely, "If you slice off too much, you don't have enough left for the more demanding stuff! Which is bad in combat. So each peach you harvest should take less energy to cut from the tree. You'll have to force yourself to use less. If you're tired after cutting only a few peaches, I'll think of a fitting consequence.." Grinning wide.

Cordellia blinked when he touched her nose, she raised an eyebrow somewhat surprised and confused by the action, "... Peach... Harvesting?" She stared confused by the notion of harvesting peaches to train. The monkey was surely messing with her. She watched as he brought the staff across his shoulders once more, she couldn't help but smirk, "My energy is a peach?" She was somewhat amused by Wukong's explanation, but it certainly did make some sense... In a weird way.
She tilted her head slightly, a few strands of now loose hair falling across her face, "Consequences? This ought to be interesting... I'll do it."
"Good!" Wu said excitedly as he dropped the staff along the curve of his back and let it roll out onto his tail, before his tail would push it up into the air again. He'd turn to catch it in the air, then did a quick backflip, landing directly in front of Cordelia, his tail shoved into her face playfully. He'd laugh a bit as he'd roll forward, then twirled around to face her again, "It's late in the day. We can start first light tomorrow! Best time to pick! And you'll have had a chance to rest from your journey."
Wu moved back to his tea and sipped it, not caring that it was probably cold by now.

She would smile, his display of energy making her feel happier about her situation, slightly alleviating the feeling of depression she had been feeling lately. She wished she could be so carefree about things, she would take a step back as the tail was shoved in her face, swatting it away playfully with her free hand.
Cordellia would collect the shards, further draining herself and sheathed her sword. She was lightly sweating from the effort of using so many shard attacks right after another. If she had been wearing her armor, who knew how much more strain it would have put on her, hell, she was even somewhat out of breath, though she tried to hide how much strain it had placed upon her. Cordellia moved to get her tea, carefully sipping it, sighing with relief as drank it.
She would look to Wukong and smile softly, "Perhaps we should celebrate me being accepted as a student?"
"Hm?" Wukong perked slightly at the mention of celebrating, "Okay! Uh.. How do you want to celebrate?" Wu smoothed back his spiky hair and grinned as he moved to pick up his armor, pausing to consider if he might need it if they were going to somehow celebrate. He was intrigued by the proposal, and unsure how they'd go about it. Bathing in the hot springs was always a nice way to celebrate! Just relaxing for a bit - though he never sat still too long. That energy was always present.
