February 17th (tentative/unimportant date), 23 CLE
Sonder pants softly as she scales the sandy dunes with Nevin, still just emerging from the forest surrounding Noxus' only coast. The ocean breeze sweeps over her face, leaving residue of salt in her eyebrows and lashes as they walk. Her skin holds no trace of cosmetics- the dirt of her pillow, Nevin's hands, and the water of the small, flowing rivers along the way are all that have touched her face.
"This has been... interesting, so far," she comments, as they come to rest atop a large dune. She can see the waves, from here- it's her first sight of them; her one and only trip to Zaun was spent within the city. The silvery slices of water, capped with whipped-up white foam, bring what's nearly a tear to her eye at the beauty of it all.
"...Is nature always like this?"

Nevin would catch glances to her as they both traveled towards the coastline. he watched her reaction contently as she was experiencing new to her, though to him this was something very much a part of his life. As they crest the hill, he smiled as he scanned the coastline; the waves crashing against the sand then receding back to repeat the process. It had been some time since he seen the sea, or any large body of water that was not frozen completely in ice for that matter. "Quite interesting indeed" He replied, turning to her with a slight smile on his face.
The wind had picked up a bit, his hair whipping freely. He always enjoyed watching her expressions, almost as much as the sights that was laid out before them. Taking her hand in his, and weaving their fingers together, he nodded in response. "Most of the time, yes. Nature is as often beautiful as it is dangerous." He mused to her. "You can see why people like me sometimes prefer to live out in the wild."

Half of Rose's hair had been cut short to match the other side, but it flickered in the air as it moved. In a habitual gesture, she uses her fingers to brush it back, then offers her hand to the Freljord man by her side. "I wish I could draw it." Her smile broadens. "The motion of the waves, though...? I don't think anyone could capture that."
Before Nevin can take her hand, her impulsiveness takes over, and she takes off, dashing for the ocean. "It's wonderful~!" Her voice echoes behind her, flung over her shoulder carelessly as she runs.
Nevin's brow would raise when she started to run towards the ocean. It was clear he did not expect to see such enthusiasm so quickly. he smiled and shook his head and began to follow behind her. He ran, though not quite as fast as she was. He wondered just how far she was going to go, or if she was going to continue to follow her impulses and run into the water.

It'd already been days crossing forests and hills- Sonder had found herself repeatedly frustrated with the homogeneity of their surroundings. But this? This is so brand-new, whole city-states- maybe whole other countries lie across these waters! Her heart races as she makes her way to the edge of the tide's lapping, and drops her bag, starting to take off her boots and her coat.
"My feet sink into the sand!" While there'd been some of that with her boots on, she'd been too busy running to care- her face expresses genuine surprise, now.
For a while, she'd be able to forget the rebellion, and all the conflict it had stirred up in her. It's a sunny day, hot and bright, far from the likes of anything she's seen in the city. The only swimming she's ever done has been in the baths of her boarding school, when she was a child. This will be far more exhilarating~

Nevin would slow down to a stop just a few feet away from her. Admittedly it was nice himself to be out in the open like this. spending so much time within Noxus made him miss the outdoors. as nice as the city life was, he could only take so much. A wide smile he watches her take her boots of, and remark in curiosity about the sand
"They certainly do" He replied, looking down to her feet for a moment before looking back up. It had been quite some time since he felt so carefree as they were right now. "Perhaps we should do some wading in the waves?" He suggested, taking off his boots as well.
For once in quite some time since he had taken residence in Noxus he looked and felt as if weight was lifted off his shoulders. While kneeling to untie his shoes, he thought about how much different city life was compared to the life of nature that he was used to.

"Yes!" She grins, and tosses away her coat, rolling up her pants to run into the water. Her first impulse is to dive into it and swim away, but she knows better than to do so with no experience in the ocean. This feels nice, though- it's unusual to have so few worries, recently.
"It's cold!" Her feet stamp in an effort to diffuse the freezing temperature of the water, but she laughs nonetheless, enjoying the sun on her skin (which was already starting to burn).
"Hehe, alright" Nevin responded. He started to undo his own top, since it was black it would not be much better than wearing nothing anyways. Rolling up his own pants, he followed her into the waves. Once his own legs hit the water, he felt the cold as well; despite being one of ice magic, the feeling of the sharp cold in contrast to the warm sand was apparent.
"I would have expected you to be more used to the cold by now." He mentions to her, certainly both knowing what he had meant by that statement. he wrapped his arm around the warmth of her waist as he motions to walk along the coast, the water lapping at their feet.
