30th of June, 23 CLE
It had been two months since the invasion hit the Golden City, and since the invasion had been repelled. The recovery had taken a while, as is to be expected for an event so large and so devastating, but the honorable spirit of Justice that Demacia was known for had prevailed, assisting them in the recovery. However, one known figure had been absent for most of these past two months.
The Bandle City Ambassador and League Champion, Poppy, had returned home to recover and do some research on a subject she had put to the side for a long while. Now, her arm had healed and she had made sure that the subject of her research would be found, and so it was time for her to return to her duties.
Before she reached the gates however, she turned around and looked at the countryside, pulling Whomper from her back and leaning it against the ground, the hammer glowing in the sunshine, partially from the light of the sun, but mostly from some unseen force. Ever since she lost her father years ago, the gates of Demacia and the Golden City had become like a second home to her. A safe haven for her work, and for her to go about her life. Yet... she had still to be able to find the onr thing she had wished for since that fateful day. Retribution. Luckily, she knew it was only a matter of time now that the Scouts of the Mothership had decided to aid her, but she did want to check if her allies knew anything of the man she was looking for.
So, she lifts Whomper back to her shoulder and walks to the gates of the Golden City, nodding at the guards as she walks inside. Perhaps she could find the Seneschal, the Prince or the Might of Demacia. They all would have access to the information she was looking for, but whether the information existed, was another thing...
She looks up to the sky and stops walking about a hundred meters after passing the gates. Perhaps she should find her old friend, the one Demacian she had a bond to. But whether she could find the Sentinel flying around on the day, was another thing. Who knew... perhaps the Guardian of Duran could even sense her return, but it was a long shot.
If she did not come across Galio, she would head towards the military district. Only time would tell how this day would turn out. Only thing certain was that she would have to return to the Embassy... and back to the daily grind.
