On a stone table in a cave near Bilgewater lies a book, looking rather out of place. Covered in seashells and some unknown writing, the book contains a large amount of text, written in the language used in Bilgewater rather crudely on one page, and in unknown, rather beautiful writing on the opposing page. The text is layed out like such for nearly half the book, and both languages contain the same text, written by Fizz during rare moments of calm. Next to the table lies an elaborate set of armor, made to fit one of Fizz's race.
Sometime after Fizz's first appearance above the seas
It has been a few weeks now since I found my home abandoned. Everyone I ever knew is gone, and all I have left is the Trident I salvaged from the temple and a set of ceremonial armor that was on the same statue as the trident itself. The weapon seems enchanted... it allows me to avoid these things the landdwellers call "bullets" and such easier than usual and to do damage even to the toughest armor with ease.
I've found a city above the waves, something none back home would've ever dared to think to exist. Yet there is more, there is a whole living world in the air above the seas, and I can breathe in it! My liking for danger and trickery is shared amongst these... humans living in this city by the ocean, but they do not appreciate my pranks. They're real amusing to mess with though, and I am not planning to stop doing so anytime soon.
Just the other day, I swapped the fish a half-asleep fella had caught with a live, angry octopus, and he pulled it up and it took 5 of the humans to get off of the guy's head afterwards. They tried to catch me, but I gotta say their aim sucks, only thing they hit was the glasses the counter nearby was full of, spraying this... "rum" everywhere. Which again made more people angry. This is even better than all the treks in the Deep beatin' the monsters everywhere. But... eventually I need to find some place above the seas in the cold that can help me figure out happened back home.
Perhaps this... "League of Legends" some of the landdwellers talk about. There's apparently even a couple o' folk from this Bilgewater place fighting there for somethin'. Sounds like my kinda place.
The end of each writing date has an elaborate, atlantean scrawl finishing it, most likely being the way of writing Fizz's name in his native language.
((I will add a chapter to this every now and then, to set some background for Fizz's life in Bilgewater))
