Soft footfalls carry the sleek black creature along the rubble and mess remaining from the invasion. It was not nearly as bad as it use to be, but the remnants of the attack were all too obvious to the feline as she made her way along. Each step was one filled with heart ache at seeing the pain of so many. All of these people effected by intense tragedy.
Many would simply brush off a cat. She seemed normal, aside from the occasional odd head twitch as if something irritated her ear, and the gold ornaments that decorated her head and neck making her stand out as something a bit less then average. Perhaps she belonged to a Noble? Or the Prince?
Well.. The Prince allowed her to remain. Emuishere was simply back from a long journey.
The black cat made her way through the market, stopping at a fish vendor with a soft meow. The man occupying it would pause to look at her, then huffed softly and shooed her away. Emuishere stared wide eyed, mewing a bit more sadly as her stomach softly grumbled with hunger. The man gave her another look, and sighed, tossing her one of the smaller catches of the day. It was all she needed, and with a happy mew, she hurried off away from the vendor to begin feasting on the small smelt sized fish.
Onward from there, she peered into the homes of many trying to get a better understanding of what had transpired. Talks of the Shadow Isles were still prominent upon the lips of Demacians. She knew nothing of this place, and sought to learn more as she continued her rounds through Demacia.

A female, blue hair, pale skin and ruby eyes slowly walked through the Demacian market. Amelia was wrapped in a thick brown cloak she had taken from a merchant on the road. Her left arm hung loose by her side as her right hand clutched it, her eyes wandered from stall to stall. Many of the citizens avoiding her due to her appearance. She was by no means a normal human girl, and many wanted nothing to do with her, even if they didn't know what exactly was wrong with her. The guards had been uneasy about letting her inside the walls, though posing as a simple traveler they had no real reason not to allow her entry.
Amelia had been surviving off scraps since she had ran away from Zaun in a blood-bath that she had no control over, originally running to the Ironspike mountains to hide way from the world only to have both Kassadin and Malzahar find her anyway. She had run again while they fought one another, struggling with the influence of the void constantly trying to push her over into the corruption.
She had made it to Demacia, and now was in search of easy pickings, she knew the risk. Stealing in Demacia was about as bad as murder, but she was now desperate. Her legs somewhat weak and shaky as she walked, though she tried to hide it in case the guards noticed something else weird about the girl.
Whiskers twitched as her nose raised to the air. Something familiar had touched upon it, causing her to stop after eating only part of the small fish. Something... that amplified the haunting voices within her mind. Emuishere shook her head and pawed at her ear as if to try to remove the uncomfortable sound of voices from her ear. The ever constant plaguing of the void, trying to consume her and make her a part of it.
No. She would have none of it!
With a slight hiss Emuishere puffed up her fur and spun around a few times before coming to a stop. She saw Amelia not far off, and sensed the taint within the woman. Hesitantly, she watched as she cautiously picked up her little fish and stared with iridescent green orbs ever watchful.

Amelia's ruby eyes would settle upon a stall where the owner and a customer were haggling, it was beginning to get aggressive, no doubt one would get frustrated and give up unless they wished to risk the Demacian guards getting involved. Amelia moved toward it as if she were genuinely interested in the wares the stall owner was selling, fruits. Amelia eyed a large orange hungrily, quickly flicking her eyes to the stall owned before turning and knocking the fruit into her pocket. It was rough, and anyone who was watching would have seen it happen, it was clear the girl had little to no experience in stealing like this. But she had certainly begun to get better at it since she left Zaun.
Amelia then moved toward a bread stall wondering how if she could really get way with stealing a loaf without anyone seeing. A disheartened expression falls across the girl's face as the baker looks upon her suspiciously. Amelia's ruby eyes glance away as she quickly turns around, it seemed all she could manage was a fruit. Tears welled up in her eyes, she hadn't chosen this life. Why did she have to be forced into stealing, scared that anyone who found out what she really was would turn her in and she would be forced to be bound and experimented on again.
She moved off into an alley and slumps into the cold darkness, drawing her knees up to her chest and pulling the cloak tightly around herself. She begs herself not to cry, if someone heard, they would come to the alley and realize she was in fact homeless and poor, such people were usually not allowed within the walls. Pulling out her orange she slowly peels it, careful to listen for anyone approaching.
The cat watched closely, and noticed the disheartened look. These were not the actions of something she should be so concerned of. But the scent of her taint filled Emuishere's nose, causing it to wrinkle with disgust.
She quietly padded her way along until she found the alley that Amelia had ducked into. Her head poked around the corner curiously, holding the half-eaten fish within her teeth before slowly and with a great deal of weariness, closing the distance towards the homeless woman. A soft, muffled mew touched the air as she drew nearer, not wishing to startle her.

Hearing the cat, Amelia slowly looked at the small black furry creature as it approached. Her iris' were a deep ruby, Emuishere would possibly be able to tell that Amelia was once human, though it was was clear something rather drastic had happened and now, she was something else. Looking at the fish in the cats mouth brought a small smile to Amelia's lips from beneath the material that hid her mouth. She found the creature cute, wondering if it had a home or if it were homeless like her. She looks at her orange, did cats eat fruit? She didn't think so, but pulls a piece of it and places it upon an orange peel so that it didn't touch the pavement before she slid it toward the cat.
"Hello..." she whispered to it, still not wanting to make to much noise, "It's all I have, but you can have it... I don't know if cats can eat fruit though." She pulls down the zip near her mouth revealing scarred tissue around her jaw as she pops some of the orange into her mouth.
The cat looked up at Amelia and mewed softly again. As the slice of orange was set down on the peel, she looked at it then back up to Amelia before stepping closer and setting the fish on top of the orange. She nudges it forward with her nose softly, showing Amelia she could have it. It might seem odd that the cat was giving up her own food, but then again the ornaments on her didn't make her seem particularly typical either.
Emuishere sat on her hunches and lightly paws at the air, suddenly growling as her paw reaches up to scratch against her ear. The voices were starting to get to her again. Glimpses of rest would be a huge relief from the constant barrage of taunting from the void. Whatever was upsetting her, it didn't appear Amelia was the source.

Amelia looked at the fish, her eyes grateful as they looked upon the cat, she briefly wondered who would adorn a cat with ornaments like those. The thoughts are soon pushed from her mind as she picks up the fish, she looked to the cat, an odd expression fell across Amelia's face, she would grip the fish tightly and attempt to rip it in half before sliding half of it back to the cat, not feeling right about taking the cats food in the first place.
A slight scratching would sound in the back of Amelia's mind, disconnected from the sound that came from the cat as she scratched. It was the whispers again. She crosses her arms across her drawn in knees and buries her face in her arms, half the fist still hanging in one hand. Focusing on blotting them out, they had been silent for so long. Why now? During her escape from the Ironspike mountains Amelia had nothing but the whispers for company, she didn't like them, they brought with them a sickening sense of fear that coiled around her heart and crush it. For now, she would focus on silencing them, distracting herself with other thoughts, hoping to smother the scratching and whispers under a mountain of random thoughts.
The feline staggered sideways slightly before tumbling sideways in response to the barrage of taunting voices, whispered from the void's darkness within her mind. It would take Emuishere some time to recollect herself, only to find herself laying on her side and the world spinning dizzily about her.
A pathetic meow would escape the black cat as she lay there, staring up at the Amelia as she did so. It was strange that this woman would seem to be struggling as well, causing the cat to force herself up to wobble in against Amelia's leg. Another pathetic mew came forward, dismissing the food for now as she tried to comfort her.

Amelia dropped the fish, she kept her knees drawn up to her chest as she struggled, why now? What was causing it now? Why couldn't the pain that constantly followed her just leave? Every turn in her life, met with disappointment... Amelia looked turned her head slightly, barely able to glimpse the cat from her position. She lowered a shaky hand to pet the small animal, hoping to find comfort from the small animal. Maybe distracting herself with the cat could help...
She let out a quiet whisper, "Why can't I just be left alone..." She spoke to the cat, thinking that it had no way of talking back to her, "I just... I just want some peace..."
