Friday, 31st of January 23CLE 9:32pm
Ariella sighed as she finished packing her belongings, sat on her suitcase and gazed out the window. The view of the Bandle City Mothership at dusk was one she knew she was going to miss during her time at Arcanum Majoris. She had said her farewells to all her friends earlier that day, but for tonight she was free to reflect on her decision and perhaps even get into some trouble...
Ariella began to wander around the city, taking in sights that she wouldn't see again for quite some time. After hours of solitary roaming, she found herself sitting on a ledge in a quiet corner of town, again, gazing at the mysterious mothership.
((For clarity, you should probably add what date this is happening on ;) ))
Further away on the same ledge sat a rather young yordle woman, wearing mechanic's overalls and seemingly working on a medium-sized metallic box that included a fair bit of levers and buttons on it's side. A picture of the League Champion Rumble was also taped to the side of the box.
Noticing the silent figure sitting near her and looking at the Mothership, Jaslene lifts her safety goggles up from her eyes to her forehead and says with a smile.
Ain't she a beautiful thing? The Mothership that is. Whatever made 'er back before Bandle City sure was a genius...

((Oh, thanks for the tip, this is my first thread ))
The pondering yordle shudders slightly as she returns from her meditative state. Looking over and peering quizically at the mechanic she replies:
"It is but... Don't you ever wonder why it's here? I mean, we don't know how it got here, so one day what if it just... stopped? What if everything changed?"
Ma'am, I'm a mechanic, and the Mothership is a masterpiece of mechanics.... of some sort...
Of course I wonder why it's here, or how it was made. All I know is that it represents what our society stands for, technology and closeness. And it had that petrified cupcake in it too, which is always a bonus haha.
Jaslene flips the switches in the box she's got next to her a few times, and then presses the button on top of the box. The top opens and a pair of mechanical hands rise up, one waving the other yordle before they start hitting each other, making it look like the box is applauding something.
An' the world is changing every day, it's more about... not gettin' left behind the world. It's somethin' I gotta deal with a lot personally, makin' sure I know the latest inventions and machines so I can fix 'em, workin' in a repair shop an' all.
Jaslene blinks at the mention of the picture, coughing a bit with a blush.
Uhh... I may or may not admire Rumble... that mech of his is a real show of mechanical genius.
She starts fiddling with the machine again, opening one of it's sides and looking inside at the gears and cogs to see if everything is running smoothly.
Yeah, it must be hard livin' away from other yordles. Just think of what Ambassador Poppy has to go through, living in Demacia... middle of all those humans and their posh attitudes. Must be hard to keep 'erself from slappin' them with that hammer of hers. Haha.
Rumble? Nah... not yet. I'll make sure to go and meet 'im one o' these days. But you know, his "easy-to-anger" side ain't exactly the best representation of us, as great as he is.
Jaslene screws the side of the box back on to makes sure it stays closed before turning back to the yordle girl next to her.
So, ye're one of them summoners huh? Now you're gettin' me jealous, I don't think I can ever even hope to see that Institute of War. I hear it's pretty impressive of a place.

'Hmm, you know what? If I ever meet Rumble I'll tell him about you... You're a great mechanic too y'know. Easy-to-anger though? I think he's just scared of humans... Or maybe that's just me.
Ariella chuckles bitterly before clearing her throat awkwardly.
Anywho, it'll be a while before I get to go to the institute anyway, and I'll have to wear robes all the time. Hehe, at least they're purple."
Thanks for the offer miss, but I doubt he'd really care about some random fan o' his. He probably has too many for that.
Jaslene chuckles, the safety goggles dropping over her eyes again, making everything seem more orange for her.
You like purple miss? You should summon Lulu then probably, I hear she even tastes things purple. Haha.
And Rumble ain't scared of humans, he thinks we yordles are superior to them, and considerin' how most of the smartest minds in the world come from Bandle, can't say I disagree with 'im on that.
He's just real pissed at how everyone at Piltover just hands over yordle tech to the humans, instead of usin' it to benefit Bandle and the yordlekind and to prove that we're to be taken seriously.
A series of preliminary checks turned up nothing, but the thin, stern looking woman who could only offer "Renee" as her name didn't seem to present any threat to the residents of Bandle City, unarmed and appearing as though she were too aloof and disinterested to have ever learned anything magical. Short, single worded answers had gotten her through the gate, and among the harmless masses of the tiny yordles. How she'd let one of their tiny kind pilfer something so sacred she could not fathom. Whatever magic had ensorcelled her body had clearly been too strong for her to resist. Once, but never again.
Her cool blue eyes swept across her surroundings but continually found themselves glaring up at the metal monstrosity that seemed to dominate the entire settlement. After minutes of walking, she found herself as far from it as she could manage to be, hating the assumption of avarice she had pinned to it. Unfortunately for her quest, she had not actually stopped to speak to a single denizen of the warm, open cityscape, too filled with distaste for the populace to lower herself.
Until a certain word cut through her spiteful reverie.
"Purple."
Rece's head snapped to look at the tiny yordle mechanic that had said it, sizing her up and down quickly. The thief had made sure to steal an egg and had mentioned the word at least half a dozen times. The twitch of remembered rage drew her nearer the lounging pair, stifling a barely audible hiss before she tossed her hood back and addressed both her and her companion.
"Greetings, littlefolk. I was wondering if I could ask you about your kind. I am searching out a thief, someone who stole something very precious to me." She spoke, stumbling over her first use of a foreign mouth, but quickly correcting herself as her icy, disdainful tone took over.
Jaslene looks up at the new figure, lifting the goggles from her eyes again to see things more normally.
A thief? Well, what'd this thief do? Anythin' that we could ya know... recognize them by? I don't really see anyone in Bandle really stealin' anythin' though. Outside a couple exceptions, yordles are really friendly and don't take other people's stuff.
She scratches her neck with a hand, a thick rubber glove covered in grease and oil covering the hand itself.
"She was... Not unlike the two of you. Her skin was a slightly more purple hue than yours. She wore a wide, red hat and a matching dress. Long flowing purple hair as well, but perhaps the most telling feature was the despicable little sprite that turned my body into that of a forest creature." Rece snapped the last few words out, averting her gaze and growling under her breath in a manner few humans could manage.
A shudder of irritation made the hood of her robe and her white hair vibrate gently, but she quickly shook it off and turned back to the pair, the slightest twitch showing her barely contained rage.
"She stole my... Child." Rece whispered, looking between the two below her.
Jaslene raises an eyebrow at the description, thinking she knows exactly the person in question.
Let's see here... purple skin, purple long hair, red wide hat and dress, turns ya into a forest creature. I can think of only one person.
Lulu, the so-called Fae Sorceress. G'luck findin' her in Bandle though, she ain't allowed within the city anymore. Played a game with some kids where she turned 'em into critters and flowers, parents didn't like it and she's kinda banished from the Yordle Lands.
Ya should go ask the Institute of War, around the middle o' the continent. Lulu's a champion in their League, they should know more about her and where she might be, but no guarantees.
Sighing, she shakes her head. Stolen child? Lulu never was right in the head.
And g'luck gettin' your child back ma'am, Lulu ain't exactly one to reason with, and if ya try takin' stuff by force, she can just turn ya into a cupcake and eat ya up. Unless if you're somehow immune to the magic the Sorceress has...
