"Would I know where to find this place? I cannot say I have ever been there before." Rece replied, glancing away from the pair for but a moment in thought. The name rang and rang in her head, each repetition more furious than the last. Her fingernails dug into her palm and her arms shook before she had managed to catch and calm herself.
The Yordle Lands turned up an empty search, which ultimately didn't surprise the dragon. She knew her child's captor would have to be at least passingly intelligent, and to stay in the first place one would seek them out was not advisable. It meant more time in the lesser societies though, finding this Institute of War. Of course, she had heard of it but finding her way there on foot would be a hassle. It was markedly easier to find a massive building from above than it was from ground level.
Rece turned to leave, noting how late it was. She would sleep in the mountains tonight, perhaps make it back to her den for one final night before setting off in the morning for this famous Institute.
"You have my thanks for your aid, littlefolk. With a name and a destination, my search draws nearer to its end." She spoke, turning abruptly and making for the gate, as resolute in her goals as she had ever been.
Jaslene scratches her head and shrugs at the seemingly human woman leaving. She then looks at the box next to her and sits down, starting to pull a few levers in multiple directions as if setting something up. While working, she glances at the girl next to her.
That was quite a colorful lass, that human, huh?
So, you're headin' for the Institute miss? That's quite a trek to go. Hope everythin' works out fine when ya get there.
Eh, I wouldn't worry 'bout it miss, she seemed like the type that can handle themselves pretty nicely. B'sides, it's not like the trek to the Institute is that dangerous, only real threats probably bein' lack of water when going through the desert to the Great Barrier ya know.
Jaslene continues turning levers on the side of the box to set up something, glancing over to the nervous girl besides her.
If ya want to help 'er get to the Institute, do it. She's just lookin' for her child, I doubt she'll hurt ya for helpin' her find the Institute, and through that helpin' her find the child.
The longer legs of the human-from dragon had wasted no time setting a brisk pace for the shorter limbs of Yordle society. It wasn't until Rece had almost reached the gate to leave that the Yordle caught up to her. The ball of her foot planted itself in the ground and she turned, leveling a prickly glare on the woman below before she could even be hailed by the pursuer.
"What, littlefolk?" She asked, tone almost edged with irritation. How much of that irritation was truly due to Ariella herself was unclear, but it was most likely not the primary source of her annoyance.

Rece's annoyed tone wasn't lost on Ariella, but she was too tired from chasing the human to care.
"I-I know the way to the Institute and, I'm heading in that general direction tomorrow morning anyway. If you need help finding Lulu then I'll go with you."
The yordle smiles nervously at the woman, knowing that this whole situation will go a lot smoother if she remains polite and optimistic.
The disguised dragon's eyes bored down upon the diminutive figure that stared up at her. Strange, that she could keep her verve yet be so obviously nervous. Perhaps the lesser creatures had grown some since last she had taken leave to look over them, but that seemed unlikely. They had definitely learned how to destroy since last Rece had been in the 'outside world', though it was so long ago that she had still been with her mother at the time.
Her reverie broke as she remembered that the lesser races were prone to impatience much more quickly. Shorter lifespans, she supposed, was the reasoning. Her tact shifted quickly, as did her plans for the rest of the day. She took a cursory glance at the sunset and noted the dwindling hours left. With the yordle in tow, she couldn't make progress on wing. A twitch of her nose interrupted the look of thought on her face and she looked back down at the smaller being.
"Fine. I hope you do not object to being carried. I intend to make it to the Sablestone by no later than sun up." Rece said firmly, her hand outstretched to Ariella

"Oh I didn't mean..."
Ariella frowned, realising that Rece intended to begin travelling tonight. Her obvious tiredness became apparent as she yawned widely, but her sense of duty towards this strange woman wasn't shaken. She climbed onto Rece's back, nuzzling her hair in a not-so-subtle manner.
Maybe having Rece as a travelling partner wouldn't be as scary as she thought, especially compared to moving away from home... Ariella sighed deeply and shut her eyes, a warm feeling in her chest told her she was doing the right thing.
Feeling the little yordle clamber up her robe, it took all Rece had not to shudder with disgust. Demeaning was only the very beginning of the hundreds of ways this felt but perhaps this was just something humans had to deal with. Perhaps with the littlefolk asleep, she could risk taking wing for at least a few hours, to put distance between her and this place.
No, no, far too dangerous. I can't let the petulant little worm know that I am coming for her. I must retain this form, at least for now. Rece grit her teeth as the yordle on her back 'snuggled' her but began walking regardless, swallowing the urge to simply eat the thing for her transgressions. Too good a lead and not nearly enough meat on her tiny bones.
Leaving the gate, her pace picked up considerably, setting into a run and trying to cover as much ground as possible, hoping not to awaken the little yordle that clung to her like a parasite.

Ariella's eyes flickered open, she blinked a few times before noticing a wet patch on the side of her face. She had been drooling into Rece's hair. Unable to avoid moving too much without attracting Rece's attention, she mopped up the mess as best she could with the side of her face before raising her head and looking around.
The scenery was unfamiliar, Ariella had no idea where she and the Rece were, and was equally unsure about how long she'd been asleep. Unwilling to admit this fact to her companion and potentially cause conflict with a person she was still somewhat scared of, she merely leaned over Rece's shoulder and pressed her cheek up against the human's.
