Cpl. Joon-Beom and Pvt. Woong were waiting for a response... only to be introduced to a scene that seemed impossible given the circumstances.
But their momentary incredulity at the people - and cat - in the hut was cut off with one of the people inside coming out and greeting them. Joon-Beom lowered his carbine, now seeing there was no immediate danger, and nodded towards the man.
"Corporal Joon-Beom, of the Piltover Medical Corps," he answered, "and this man with me is Private Woong." Woong nodded as well; he shifted the carbine in his hands, a bit unsure of what to do except to let his senior talk.
"Although, before I say anything else, I have a few questions to ask you, sir. Who are you... people?" motioning to the sitting man and the cat... which appeared to be richly treated. When it came to his next question, however, the answer to this is what he was really interested in.
"And, more importantly... are any of you aware of what exactly had happened here some time ago - a month to be exact?" This question Joon-Beom asked with quite a curious tone; even now, he couldn't believe that these people (and cat) would just wander out here and have no idea what had happened only a mere month ago...
...unless they never got wind of the issue in the time span since. After all, places like these hardly ever got news quickly.

"Hello there, my name is Liam Kain and I am but a traveler. This battlefield is one gruesome one and I bet you are here to tend to the dead or like you may have thought us, survivors." Liam was not going to explain everything about himself, the only thing that they may get farther out of him if they paid attention is the wrapped up Nodachi on his back. The swordsman was wondering what all of this was about. The guns were an uncommon sight to his eyes. "I just came upon this place while wandering about in this endless snow."

((I'll have to ask you guys to hold up just a second here. There's been a bit of a discrepancy regarding when, exactly this event is taking place. For the sake of not having to go back and retcon too much lore here, we're going to say that this is occurring on April 9th, just over a month out from the battle itself (Allowing Emuishere travel time from Demacia), certainly not hours. Additionally, make the assumption that this is occurring far enough from the primary battlefield that cleanup and body removal efforts have not ventured so far into the elements. Let me know if anyone draws issue with this timetable, and happy role playing!))
Emuishere, being the cat she was, looking up at the trio before focusing her attention towards the unusual blind man. A curious tilt of her head indicated she was wondering about him. As the feline was more or less addressed, she'd pad forward with light foot falls, and mew gently before hopping her front paws up onto Liam's leg.
Should he not protest her being there, she'd drop back down and quickly use the hut to gain some leverage before hopping onto his shoulder so she might be at eye level with all the men. Another soft meow escapes the small creature, before she'd lick her paw a couple times and flick it as if a hair might be annoyingly off. Carefully she began to groom her nose and head, seeming content for the moment.

Xygolo cringed. The visions came to him again. The close proximity to the voidlings must be affecting his mind. He began to scratch at his face. Leaving deep gouges. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" He screamed loudly, pushing his way through the people around him and ran away from the battlefield. Still clawing at his face, he ran ever onward. The void seemed to be crawling over his body. He scratched all over his body, tearing his robes and leaving gouges all over himself. He was out of sight of the battlefield now. He felt somewhat better. But he couldn't go back. He had to get away. He took a slow pace continuing south. The void that seemed to be pervading his every pore leaving his body now. He sighed loudly. The void must be stopped. He must find a way to stop it. There was no other way now.

The two Corpsmen were only left even more incredulous at the man's answer; admittedly, being in the battle mad them think it was almost impossible for wanderers to show up in this now rather desolate field, but the fact that they were alive seemed to run contradictory to everything that had happened in the past month.
"Well, Mr. Kain, if you weren't in the battle itself, I suppose it would be in order to explain what we are - or have been - doing here for the past month or so," Joon-Beom offered to explain.
Woong was far more interested in the cat, which he noticed to be... very well treated. The amount of valuable metals on the being left Woong ever more confused about the situation: there was a wanderer and some oddly robed man, and with them was this rather odd cat who appeared to be vastly better treated than the other men.
"Well, as you may have come to realize, for some time the Void has made their presence here, and about a month ago they finally attempted their move on-" Joon-Beom began to explain, only for a blood-curdling scream to split across his ears.
One moment he saw the robed man get up; the next he was out into the fields, running due south, close to where the village was.
This could possibly mean the worst, and so Joon-Beom wasted no time; he quickly signalled Woong to stay with the wanderer and cat - and to stick with them if they left as well - and took off after the robed man, calling to him as he slowly closed the distance. He seemed to carry far more weight, but the conditioning a medic went through training and their baptism by fire during the battle meant he could run really fast.
He finally managed to catch up to the robed man, and seeing that he was torn up - seemingly by himself - Joon-Beom slung his carbine to his back and took his medkit.
"Sir - SIR!!! Are you okay?! Please, calm down! Here, let me help you..." He spoke to the man, beginning to open his medkit in order to treat the man.

Liam was not alarmed when the cat pawed at him and moved on his shoulder. In fact, he took it as a friendly gesture from the creature. As the corpsman spoke, Liam paid attention to every detail he said. This was void a hostile presence in this world it seemed. Before he could inquire any farther, the scream came to his ears and in an instant the Nodachi was drawn. His first action was to immediately move towards the voice to check it out but was stopped when he saw the corpsman rush pass him. He followed suit as well.
Emuishere thought it odd that he would suddenly burst out like that. She'd mew with concern, suddenly leaping off Liam's shoulder when he took off after. Keeping balance on a running person can be tricky! The feline watched them run off, tilting her head a bit. Perhaps it was time to go.. Sensing the void, she thought it was best to keep moving less she lose her chance to speak with her brothers.
The cat quickly grabbed a few sticks and set them up just outside the hut in the shape of words 'Thank you' before darting off in the direction of Noxus.

Xygolo sat upon the ground. Staring off into space as the blood loss made him lose consciousness. His eyes drooped lower and lower. Eventually closing. But the fact remained that he was unconscious. He felt nothing around him. He simply dreamed of the past. Times where he enjoyed life genuinely. In the cult. He should have never left there. But he had too. How would the void be stopped if he didn't help? He had to help. It was necessary of him. His body went limp as more blood left him, his body thumping against the dirt around him

Joon-Beom could only attempt to get his supplies open faster as the robed man's condition continued to worsen. As he looked up again, he saw the man go unconscious.
He couldn't be treated here, Joon-Beom thought to himself; he needed better treatment back at base camp, and he needed it fast.
As he repacked his supplies and got out his portable stretcher, he looked up to see Woong... and the other man approach. Giving a small sigh of relief that he didn't need to call him back, he finished opening up the stretcher just as the others arrived.
Woong did was ordered, and looked towards the cat and the other man. However, the other man then took off after Joon-Beom, to which he tried to call to wait; he was caught unprepared, having put down his medkit.
As he turned to pick up his med-kit, however, he noticed to his surprise that the cat was now gone; in its place was a bunch of sticks that spelled out 'thank you.'
Woong was surprised; was this the cat's doing!? He could only ponder on it as he put back on his medkit and followed the other man running towards where Joon-Beom and the robed man were.
Joon-Beom didn't need to explain the situation to Woong; as soon as Woong arrived, the two moved the robed man onto the opened stretcher, to which they motioned the other man to follow, as they made their way back to the base camp.

Liam followed along as it was his choice to assist in anyway. The sudden meeting with this man and the desire to seek more knowledge about this Void had also influenced in his actions. He moved alongside the men, keeping pace while keeping his sword at the ready. Just in case something hostile was still alive.

Xygolo dreamed of the void taking him, he dreamed of it taking the world over and devouring everything. He sputtered blood in his dream, and so did he in reality. His breathing increased rapidly and his heartbeat increased as well. He was close to death. But he couldn't die here. He wouldn't die here. His breathing steadily went back down with his heart rate. He remained in control for the moment. and the bleeding seemed to stop momentarily. Although it wasn't for lack of blood or closed wounds. It was his psionic abilities taking over sub consciously. They would stop the bleeding for a few seconds. But it would always continue.

The medics continued their way, carrying the robed man back to camp; as they had gone out quite some distance to spot this, it'd be a bit before they got back.
To while away the time, the Corpsmen began to whistle a song that they had listened to often, and often did to while away the time while they were involved in something monotonous...
...or at least what they thought they were doing was.

As they progressed through the snow towards the base, Liam was listening along to their whistling and was also growing quite bored himself. He also had some concern for the stranger who seems to be in some sort of inner torment. What ever this was, it was not in any way good. The Void was only heard by him in hushed talks between some of the adults around the orphanage and even in the dojo where he trained. Liam never thought it was real...another realm that bears a worst fate than Hell itself. He must know more about it. "So, may I ask what the Void is..besides being a really bad place. You know any details of it?"

Xygolo roused from his sleep. Sitting upright and looking at his blood covered form. He sighed and pursed his lips. Concentrating on closing the wounds with his mind. Of course this was just an illusion. He simply let the cells that would help close his wounds up to the surface. While keeping the regular blood flowing through his veins. He didn't truly close the wounds. He just helped them heal a little faster. His wounds closed fully in a matter of minutes. But they were simply scabbed over. It would help him not bleed to death, certainly. But the outward appearance would remain the same. He pulled himself off of the stretcher. Pulling forth a thread and needle, and began stitching his robe back together. "Ag hekket sul'ko." He shook his head repeatedly as he stitched his robe. Thinking about the foolishness of the situation he put himself in. He shouldn't have stayed near the voidlings as long as he did. They still had the essence of the void on them. That cost him dearly. He went over old stitches with the new ones. Which could be seen clearly by anyone who looked closely. "Ag cilek gurmah."
