Torches lit along the walls illuminated the room with a flickering soft golden glow that caused the shadows to dance about the figure in the center next to the Kotatsu, charcoal smoldered underneath warming the area around it. Zed knelt upon a dark red cushion, next to him was an ordinate wooden box. Swirling black markings were etched into the dark wood, it was clear whoever had crafted the box had put incredible amounts of effort into it.
Zed's crimson eyes glowed softly in the dark contrast of the room, simply watching the door patiently for a particular reluctant student. Upon the Kotatsu sat a small bottle of sake, along with two small choko cups for the sake.

Through the door the aforementioned reluctant student would wander, leaving the door cracked so she might bolt out of the room if he decided for whatever reason to bring her harm. A somewhat bitter look rested on Sky's face with a bottle of sake in grip, "Hmph." Peering at the firelight as she gazed around the room, then slowly settled those violet orbs upon the source of her distaste and caution - Zed.
The Ionian would push through, smoothing the cheogsam she wore before moving to plop down across from Zed, taking a long draw of her sake bottle which by this point, was pretty much emptied. With the last sip drawn, she'd set it down and belch rather audibly, "Yo."

Zed would issue a low growl at Sky's blatant disrespect, the sound of a blade sliding from its sheath within the armguard would be all the warning she needed. Crimson eyes never once leaving her, noting with annoyed glance at how she had left the door open. He moved his gaze back to her, his voice sounding irritated, here he had come to reward her for her achievement with the shadow clone. Such a revolting attitude...
Silently he would pour the sake into the small cups, knowing full well she was probably drunk already, and push one toward her. He would take the other and remove the chrome faceplate of his mask and place it upon the table. Even without the mask, his face was oddly dark, shrouded by an unnatural darkness the obscured any and all features he had other than the dark glowing crimson eyes that now stared intently at Sky, "You will address me with respect." he growled at her, "Or I WILL discipline you."
Without a word he would simply place the decorated box upon the top of the table, "Do you know why I called you here?"

Sky was in fact, pretty drunk already. It was becoming less common for anyone to see her sober, which suited her just fine! She'd sneak off and five finger discount a few bottles here and there, always adding to the collection she had stashed away on her ship and likely various hiding places around the temple.
She almost rolled her eyes until she heard the blade which stopped her dead. She didn't have any wish to be gutted this evening, so instead she'd just stare at him with that blank, passive look. Her eyes emptied of emotion, gazing into his burning orbs with nothing behind it. Soulless eyes reddened by the sake she'd been drinking on all day. It's a wonder her liver was in as good of shape as it was anymore.
What did she care? She'd lost everything, including TF. She had nothing driving her, only the constant threat of being killed if she stepped out of line.
Congrats Zed. She was a puppet.
As the sake was slid towards her, she stared at it, and commented in a somewhat cold tone, "..is it poisoned?" Not that it would change anything. Without waiting for a response, she grabbed it and threw it back letting it burn down her throat before shrugging, "Guess it doesn't matter."
"S'not like I'll ever tell anyone what you look like." She said in passing, noticing the obscuring shadows across his face, "Oh look.. Zed looks like the typical Ionian." Wiggling her fingers into the air to emphasis her sarcasm, "Whoo.." Half-rolling her eyes as she waited for her cup to be refilled.
At his question, she'd shrug, "Figured you were going to kill me.. But I swear to god if you propose, I'll never put out.. Dirty old man." Hmph-ing lazily.

Zed closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, restraining himself from outright killing her. Reminding himself she was more use to him alive than dead... At the last comment, his eyes snapped open, a cold, "Quiet." Sounding before a blur of shadows obscured her vision. She would feel a solid impact crash into her jaw most likely sending her sprawling to the floor. He was standing beside where she had seated herself, his fist still positioned outward after he has just punched her in the jaw.
"Do not tempt me to punish you further." Zed then simply returned to where he had been kneeling before, placing a hand upon the box and waited for her to return to sitting opposite him.
Sky watched as the shadows shifted and couldn't help the ominous feeling she got a split second before his fist made contact with her jaw. She not only got knocked back, she skid a short distance from the punch, grabbing her cheek where her jaw had been snapped shut right along the inner wall of it. With a spit to the side, she'd empty her mouth of a bit of blood then laughed with a detached air, "Give it to me, bay-bee."
Slowly she moved back towards the seat, and plopped down her rump once more, rubbing her jaw a bit with a drawn out sigh, "Fine.. no.. I don't know what you want from me, Zed." She said a bit more coldly then before, watching him closely. She didn't appear to pay much attention to the box.

Zed's eyes seemed to almost flare in anger at the, "Give it to me bay-bee" Comment. He remained silent however, she was on the thinnest ice imaginable. One more disrespectful comment like that and he would end her right then an there without hesitation. There was only so much Zed would put up with until he simply killed and moved on. He nodded as she spoke to him coldly, silently pushing the box toward her, "I reward my students who do well." He pauses, glaring at her, "Open it." his eyes wouldn't leave her face, studying every movement to see her reaction, out of curiosity more than anything else.

Staring back, she reached her hand out to push the lid off not even paying attention to it. Call it selfish, or call it her doing it just to spite him on some level. She would stare forward, her expression blank and ice cold as she did so. However when a certain glint caught her eye, violet orbs darted down to the object inside.
She did her best not to react, but it was a failed attempt. Her eyebrows shot up in surprise, looking from Zed, to the clawed gauntlet, back to Zed with a 'Are you SERIOUS!?' look. She'd scoop it up quickly, sliding it on to find it was the perfect fit, looking baffled and a bit speechless.
After regaining her composure, she'd wiggle her fingers a bit, studying the tiniest details of the gift, "Why?" She questioned, lowering her hand to look at Zed, "Why get me anything? You hate me.. You'd kill me if I looked at you wrong.. Why a gift?"

Zed simply watched as she looked pleased with the gift. His voice remained impassive, there was no hint of him being pleased or disappointed with the fact she enjoyed the gift, "I stated. I reward those within the order that do well." He sips from the small cup that held his sake, placing it back upon the table-top as though he had all the time in the world, "Why? Because. I do not hate you. I do not like you. Do not think you are special. I am simply rewarding you for achieving a clone in such a short time, I am rewarding you for surprising me. Something not many will ever achieve."
He then simply sips his sake again.

Sky laughed a bit, and grabbed the bottle that sat upon the table having grown impatient for a refill. She'd chug direct from the bottle, then refilled his little cup before setting it down again, "Well damn, Zed." She said with a snicker, "I'd almost say you were trying to get in my pants with a gift like this. Too bad you're so old.. Might have considered it."
She totally expected that to stir some kind of agitation, which is also why she chugged so much sake suddenly. A smirk plastered across her lips drunkenly, before slowly rolling onto her back, studying the gift, "Heh.. I surprised a ninja.." Said with a coy grin.

The torches around the room would look to flicker out for the briefest of moments, when the soft flickering light flooded the area once more she would feel the arm with the gauntlet nearly wrenched out of its socket, a foot pressing down ever so slightly upon her throat. Zed would be standing there, his foot on her throat, and her arm twisted in his grip. Nothing severe had happened, but one sharp movement could easily fix that, his crimson eyes looked down to her violet orbs, a sick sinister intent glinting in his eyes, "If you fail me in any way. I will take this gauntlet from you. And your arm with it."

The fleeting flicker of candlelight was enough to stir her senses, despite being shit-faced drunk. Shadows would swarm around her as she felt her arm twisted from socket, causing a scream to unleash from her. She didn't have to look to know his malicious intent, feeling the glare of his gaze set down upon her.
"AHH! AHFFFFFUCK THAT HURTS!" She cried out, grabbing her arm as she breathed heavily from the intense pain. Gritted teeth grinding slightly as she struggled to hold her words in check. No easy task for Sky.

The Master of Shadows snapped her arm back into place with a loud audible click that sounded more like a sharp snap than anything. Zed then dropped the arm, picked up the chrome face plate and began to exit the door, "I repeat. Do NOT make me kill you. It is not something I wish to do." He then left, leaving her alone in the room as the torches quietly burned in silence, leaving the sake upon the table.

Another cry left her as her shoulder snapped back into place, causing her form to shake from the intense pain that flooded it effortlessly by the shadow ninja. Her eyes closed tight with her hand gripped tightly to her shoulder, rolling onto her opposite side to place the bad one in the air.
It took Sky a moment to sit up, watching him leave with his passing comments..
He didn't want to kill her? She'd scowl as she used whatever loose fabric she might to create a make-shift sling for herself knowing she'd need to rest her arm for a bit. Without much of a glance, she grabbed the sake bottle he left and would remain go finish it off, muttering under her breath something about him using her for everything.
She wouldn't leave the room until the sake was gone, and then would snag the box the gift came in before moving back to her sleeping area for more booze. She needed plenty to not feel the remnants of pain after that encounter.
