Name: Lavin Hastighed
Alias: The Maverick
Class: AD Carry
Race: Human
Age: 23
Occupation: Test Driver
Residence: Zaun normally
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Abilities:
Passive: LIMBER MOVEMENTS: Lavin’s naturally limber build allows him to more easily dodge attacks made against him.
Q: POTSHOT: Lavin causes his next autoattack to knock back the target enemy further the closer they are to him. (Cooldown: App. 16 seconds, or one post)
W: WARNING SHOT: Lavin fires his Shotgun in the general direction of a target, dealing no damage but attempting to scare them away. (Becomes less effective when he's drunk, seeing as he's more likely to 'miss' and shoot them in the chest) (Cooldown: App. 18 seconds, or maybe one post)
E: COLLATERAL SHOT: Lavin passively uses scattering shot, dealing more damage in close proximity, but less damage in an AoE in distance. Less accuracy is also caused at greater distances.
R: HOTWIRE: Lavin's past in the slums gives him a relative ability to hijack techmaturgical vehicles, although he can be thwarted by expensive security systems and bad luck.
Relationships:
GIRLS: Lavin enjoys flirting with any girl who crosses his path; that’s not to say they take kindly to it. Almost every girl he’s flirted with has ended up slapping him. However, any girls he’s polite and just himself around tend to be a lot more friendly, and his natural charms often make more accidental friends then his attempted charms do.
LANA HASTIGHED: Lavin practically raised his sister after their father died in a cycling crash, as they had never known their mother. His sister has helped him get through many hard times.
THOMAS SYCAMORE: When he was younger, he was very good friends with a girl named Natasha Sycamore. They haven't seen each other in a bit, but they're still on very good terms, even though she's changed her name to Thomas...which he doesnt even want to understand, not yet.
Description: Lavin has messy blonde hair, but he’s dyed the tips a bright green so he stands out in crowds. He almost always wears a pair of goggles, just in case. They’re capable of expanding and becoming a helmet so that he can drive his motorcycle safely. He normally wears a button-up shirt of varying colors or patterns (most often dark green), but with the top two or three buttons undone. His jeans are black, and he wears a chain on one of the belt loops to keep his keys for both his house and his small utility tool on hand. If he needs to carry his shotgun around, he wears it on a holster around his back. The shotgun is just a normal single-barrel pump-action shotgun, with a slightly expanded clip size (Can fire twelve shots before having to reload; always carries around five clips with him) and a fast-reloading system.
Lavin is easily very outgoing, conversing with pretty much everyone he meets. He’s got a silver tongue with the male and female species, but it doesn’t reach too far, and he doesn’t always know when he’s using it.
He’s a nice guy legitimately, though, and tries his hardest to make friends happy. However, it often ends in him accidentally conning them, but he really doesn’t want to hurt anyone unless absolutely necessary.
Biography: Lavin was born in Zaun, his father a racer on the massive bikes that were used in street races. Growing up, he never missed a single race of his father’s. Unfortunately, that meant he didn’t miss the front-row seat of his own father’s death. In a horrific crash, his father and three other racers were smeared across the pavement in barely half a second.
Lavin was crushed, but didn’t let his father’s failure deter him. As soon as he was old enough, he was hired by a company that made the bikes used in the races. He became a lead test driver, racing the bikes on a closed circuit to achieve speed and safety, or one at the risk of the other.
He became a maverick, racing along the tracks in record times, even for the experimental engines that were in development. While many of the experiments failed…horribly…he always just laughed the crash off, took them as they came, and got back on another bike, ready to crash it again.
One night, after a party hosted by the company, he was completely hung over. Leaving his bed, he made his way to the test track, but was in no condition to test. He still insisted, however, and they put him on the new bike they were planning to release within a couple of months. Within thirty seconds of getting on, Lavin crashed, his worst crash yet, and was put in emergency care at one of Zaun’s best hospitals.
While laying in bed, he knew he was going to make a full recovery, but he had plenty of time to think. He thought that maybe he should give up racing, that it was too dangerous and that he shouldn’t die the same way his father did. When he was just about to give up, his sister, his only living relative, visited him in bed, talking at him as he still couldn’t respond.
She said that he was proud of what Lavin had done to increase the safety of the racing bikes in Zaun, and that he shouldn’t give up. With a quick pat on the shoulder, she left him. He recovered quickly, and as soon as he was let out, he went back to work, albeit more cautiously, spending more time savoring life as well. Today, he now cruises around Zaun, searching for jobs, things to do, fun, and maybe even people to help.
Long-term Goals
-Find a sponsor so that he can own a hexbike
-Possibly find a girl
-Convince everyone that you don't have to be a jerk to be a Zaunite.
