Having finally arrived at the temporary barracks, Girard turned to the remaining recruits who were following him. "Alright. You have fie minutes' rest before we continue the rest of the physical. There is filtered water for refreshment in the mess hall." Girard gestured to a large rectangular tent with several tables underneath it before continuing. "Those who were unable to complete the entire run are disqualified from the program and should gather their things. You are all going to become the finest soldiers I can train; nothing less."
Girard crossed his arms behind his back and paced further into the camp. So far, they had overcome the first test, one of basic endurance, something greatly needed for any military endeavor...The next would evaluate their skills at both ranged and close-combat. This was not as much of a 'pass-or-fail' test as it was to see where an individual recruit would be best placed within Zaun's fledgling military.

As most of the recruits made their way to the mess hall, Andrei walked up towards Girard. He stopped in front of him and saluted, that was what he thought he was supposed to do. Lowering his hand after, "Sir." He said and awaited Girards word that allowed him to speak.

Vi gave Girard a small salute, casual but not mocking. "You got it Gerry." With that she made her way to grab some water, grabbing a glass and drinking it down quickly. She gave it a queer look halfway through. Zaunites call this filtered? Eugh. One more thing to get used to. Woth that, she shrugged and kept drinking it, waiting for further commands as she started to relax.
Adal hesitated for a moment but decided to walk towards Lauretine? Was his name “Excuse me during the next exercise the use of weapons will be forbidden or…?” she slightly confused she had never quite sparred with anyone without danger heck even her “spar” with Zac had ended badly for her.

Girard turned to Adalwolfa and nodded. "Yes. At least for this exercise, we will not be using any sort of weaponry. If that's not your area of expertise, don't worry... We'll do further combat training later on, with other types of weapons and equipment."
