Febuary 3rd, 23CLE
Marcus sat it the back of the Night Club, having just watched her sister's performance. He was smiling into the sandwich he had. His sister had a beautiful voice. That wasn't just his opinion either, she had quite the fanbase here, that wanted to talk to her. Marcus and Marcy went through the same routine once a week. She would sing, he would watch, she would deal with fans for the next 30 minutes, then they would stroll around Noxus. Admiring their home, Marcus was still grateful for this place. It had been atleast 5 years since Marcy's "accident." But the people of Noxus still accepted them in their society. He was proud to be part of this city. Unlike their last home. The dreams of his parents torched bodies still haunted him. It was how he got over killing targets really. He just imagined that the person he was sent to kill was one of those villagers. His eyes lowered to the table as he lost himself in the memories.
November 23, 7 BLE
Marcus was playing with Marcy, just a normal game of hide and seek. Marcus hid amongst the tree tops and snickered as his sister ran around the house trying to find him. He always hid here, Marcy would never find him up here. He sat back in the tree, waiting for his sister to admit defeat. He did in fact hear a voice. But it wasn't Marcy's in fact, it wasn't even just one voice. He thought his parents must be home for a split second, but then he realized that it wasn't their voices either. He jumped forward from tree to tree until he had reached the edge of the forest. He cracked a small place of vision open from the leaves and looked at the horrible scene. His parents were on giant poles. Both were bleeding and had been stripped naked, they had been stabbed relentlessly. A stake still protruded from both of their hearts. Marcus was taken by shock for what seemed like hours. But it that time, the villagers seemed to move so much slower. When he finally recovered he lept back from tree to tree, eventually jumping down and going into a full sprint to find Marcy. "MARCY! COME ON WE HAVE TO HIDE!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, he didn't care if the villagers heard, he had to get her out of here. He found his sister, who thought they were still playing. But Marcus' crying face told her otherwise. He took his sisters hand and ran back into the forest. Watched as his parents burned. Watched the faces of each villager. He watched them die to his bare hands. He watched his fangs slip into their necks. He watched their bodies be drained of blood. He watched the burning bodies of his parents. He was always watching them. No matter what. The memory was too vivid.
Back to the bar
"One of the problems with being a vampire I guess..." He sighed. "Almost flawless memory. Of that moment..." He quickly changed his facial expression to happiness as his sister, cheerful as always, strode up to him. He took one final bite of his sandwich before addressing her. "Hey Marcy." He smiled exuberantly at his sister, setting his sandwich back on his plate.

Before she had walked out on the stage she had been a bit nervous, she always was. Everything had gone as she wanted it to go, she walked of the stage and looked for her brother, she saw him sitting in the back, eating something. She grabbed a bottle of water and walked up to him.
"Are you eating again?" she said with a smirk, she sat down next to him and took a sip from her bottle. "How did I do?" she said after putting the cork back on.

Marcus smiled at her warmly. "Great as usual." He waved his hand dismissively. "As if there was ever any doubt." He picked up his mug of coffee and took a sip. Enjoying the bitterness of the blend. "Mmm. This is good stuff." He set his drink down, looking around for his sisters umbrella. "Did you come here late enough not to bring your umbrella? Or is it just hiding?" He looked to his side, his own umbrella sitting at the edge of the table. He tried not to leave home without it. But he could have left it at home this time. It was almost pitch black when he went outside. But he wasn't one to take chances.

She smiled at the compliments, she knew she could sing, but she always criticized herself, "Thanks." She took another sip of water before answering on his question "Yeah, or the sun was hidden behind the giant mountain, so I felt like I didn't need it." She stretched her arms, "I need to stop getting up so early, the night has just begun and I feel already a bit tired." She looked at his coffee cup, "How can you drink that?" she pointed at the cup, "It's not even remotely good."

Marcus laughed and brought his hand to his chest in mock offense. "My oh my dear sister! You don't like the coffee here?" He suppressed a chuckle. "It tastes great. Especially when you add a little something extra to it." He winked and produced one of the small vials they stored their food source in. The vial was drained of its dark contents, and upon closer inspection, swirls of red could be seen in the deep rich black of the coffee. "By the way when's the last time you ate?" He looked at her quizzically. He knew it was like her to forget sometimes. "Atleast once every two days remember?" He held up his index and middle finger. Even though this had been the routine for them for the last 35 or so years. It was still nice to have these little moments. After all, Marcus had always looked out for her. It would be weird if she all the sudden became super independent. He had the sneaking suspicion at some points that she never forgot these things. And just acted like she did for the same reason he did. It was nice to have a routine. "Speaking of routines." He voiced his thoughts out loud and smiled at his sister. "Ready for our walk?"

She thought for a while, blood mixed with coffee, didn't sound that good, why ruin the good taste of blood? "Crap." She thought, it had been a bit over a day she last had some blood, she leaned in out of habit and lowered her voice. "You got another Vial? It was almost two days ago I last had some blood." She felt a bit embarrassed, she was supposed to remember it, it had been after all it was around 35 years ago they had lost their parents.

Marcus laughed at his sister. His deep voice drew the attention of a few quizzical people in the room. He smiled and waved their looks away. "Of course I do." He felt along his belt for an extra vial, finding one that was nearly all the way full. "Oh you get a special treat it looks like. Almost full. Go ahead and drink it all. I have a job coming up soon." He smiled slyly at his sister. He waited for her to finish drinking the blood and stood up, stretching out his back and arms and sighing loudly. "Come on sis, let's go for our walk." He offered his hand to his sister. Looking around to see all of the people watching him and his sister. Of course some people were a little frightened of them. But he simply smiled and waved at those who were looking at them. Reassuring them that he meant no harm.

She emptied the vial, a drop of blood landed on her chin, she wiped it off with her finger and then licked the blood of her finger. She took his hand and noticed some people that seemed to be scared of them. She liked it, but at the same time disliked it, she didn't want to be feared just because she was a Vampire, it was one of the negative effects of being a child of the night. Most of the time they didn't care about her or Marcus' vampirism, but as soon they saw them drinking blood it reminded them that they are in fact Vampires.
"So, tell me about this job of yours." she said as they walked out of the door into the dark of the night.

Marcus took the vial from his sister, placing back onto the slip on his belt. Grabbing his umbrella too, before he forgot. He and his sister walked out into streets. He clutched his sisters arm by the elbow, leading her down the usual path around the front of the mountain. "I'm going to have to go out by Piltover." He thought about this for a second, trying to remember if that was right or not. He nodded, having confirmed the information in his mind. "Don't worry, nothing serious, no one important." He wanted to reassure his sister so he didn't have to see her guilt. "It isn't even from Noxus High Command." He smiled warmly at his sister. "More of a favour for a friend. Plus it will keep us fed for a few more weeks. So honestly theirs nothing bad about it." Marcus yawned a little as they walked. "You're right about this waking up early." He chuckled at the thought. "It should be about 3 days before I'm back, if I travel lightly."

As they walked down their usual path she looked up in the sky, "Beautiful night out, huh?" There wasn't a lot of people out at this time, there was a few though, some who was walking home from a nightclub or walking to one, some of them recognized them, her from her singing and him because he always watched.
"Do you think Morgana's shop is still open, or do I have to wait a few more hours?" she asked him as they came closer to the quarters where her shop was.

Marcus laughed at his sisters question. "You really like her don't you?" He smiled and looked towards the shop. "Im fairly certain its open right now. If you want to go in and grab a cupcake for me I'll give you some money. So you have an excuse to see her." He chuckled again at his own joke. Pulling out a small purse of coins and pulling out enough for 2 cupcakes. He held the handful of coins in his hand. "Sound fair?"

Marcy blushed "Wha-.. I do not, well maybe, shut up, you're stupid!" She took the coins out of his hand and pushed him on his shoulder, she kept walking expecting him to catch up.

Marcus laughed and walked faster to catch up to his sister. "Don't worry I won't tell anyone." He chuckled and suppressed a laugh with his hand. "But you yelling loud enough to wake the undead might be a give away." He smirked and hugged his sister. "Besides, it's not like you could ever stay mad at me." He took his sister by the arm again, leading her to the bakery. "I'll wait out here ok?"

Jay walked out of the bakery, oatmeal muffin in mouth and a bag of assorted goodies in his hands. Noming on it pleasantly, he sighed slightly, but a happy sigh. Thank goodness she's open so late...and she gets my cravings. Mm, oatmeal...
He wasn't careful when he came out, though, and bumped into Marcy as she was going in...causing his muffin to drop out of his mouth. "Aw, dammit." He bent over to grab it, standing back up in a moment. "Heh, sorry about that. Hope I didn't hurt you." He dusted off the muffin, poked it once, and then, shrugging, popped it back into his bag. "I at least know the muffin's not hurt."
Sometimes, when you've been stuck alone for long enough, you just have to break out into reality, with no regard for what position it may put you in. It is better to try and fail than to never try.
"I can stay mad at you, it's just I don't want to." She said and removed his arm from hers. Just as she was going to enter the shop she looked at Marcus and put out her tongue, then she hit something. A quick "Umpfh." and she found herself sitting on the ground, it took her a few seconds to realize that, she got up and dusted of her clothes. She looked at what or whom she had walked into, it was a quite large fellow, "Oh, no I'm fine, my fault I wasn't looking." she put out her hand for him to shake, "Marcy Lee here, I'm sorry about your muffin."
