The Shadow Isles, a group of islands, shrouded in mysteries and mist. Within it housed horrors, frightening children through folk tales, or mortals who were unlucky enough to stumble upon it. Thresh, was one of those frightening tales. A little spun up nursery rhyme to frighten kids so they would shut up and go to sleep... Or at least try to. However, no stanza, verse, word, letter, nor single ounce of punctuation can TRULY sum up The Chain Warden.
A dirty, worn out path, did The Chain Warden walk along. He looked down at the dusty and eroded stepping stones with a small sigh. This use to be a place of grand importance. Now, it housed those that were now dead, ghosts and the undead roamed the small cluster of islands. Thresh was one of those ghosts...
He stood tall, chin high as he looked around him. Black trees, with haunting faces etched into the bark. He swung his scythe in his hand, the sounds of clinking chains to go along with it as they grind against each other through the motion. His lantern floated by him, his precious lantern. Hecarim had a halberd and an army to command, Evelynn had claws and spikes that were so sharp they could most likely cut through bone, Mordekaiser had a mace taller than any mortal and could crush them with a single swing. Thresh? He had his lantern, and he was quite content. For within that lantern was something important; souls.
What was the worth of a soul to him? Trick question, they don't. They're priceless. Each one holding tales from their fleshy imprisonment, their life story in this little green howling mist. He looked down at it, gazing upon the design with the eye sockets of his black and dark skull. It glowed a bright green, the sight of tiny little souls, swirling inside as they were trapped. He smiled slightly, before continuing his way down the path, the tattered and torn tailcoat caught slightly in the breeze of what was an approaching shoreline.
Yorick had been down to the shore to see if there was any bodies that had floated ashore during the night, sadly there where none. He had begun walking back to the graveyard when the ghoul he kept began bothering him.
"What is it now?" He asked the ghoul, the ghoul simply pointed at someone walking towards them. Yorick looked in the direction he was pointed, there was someone there indeed, it didn't take long for Yorick to know who it was, the green light coming from the same direction was a dead giveaway.
"Going out for a walk are we, Thresh?" Yorick said as he came closer to the Chain Warden

Thresh had noticed Yorick before he even did so. There was only one hunchback with a lantern in these parts. However, that didn't matter because he never really liked Yorick in the first place. His job of helping souls reach other planes so that they may rest peacefully only made his job harder. Besides, they didn't deserve rest, not in the Shadow Isles. They all had done something wrong in their lives, and they would have to pay for their crimes in his little portable prison. He let out a sigh as the pathetic little ghoul flayed his arms to the clueless Gravedigger.
As the two approached other and Yorick spoke to him, he looked down at him. He eyed his lantern for only a quick second, looking at the little face on such an inferior object to his own. He looked down to him, a blank expression on his face. "Hello Gravedigger..." He said as he shrugged casually. "I suppose so. Just seeing what souls there are to scrounge up in the lantern. Where there is death there is only more death." That and it seemed like The Ruined King and the others had already gone off, trying to make peace with enemies they could have easily crushed. And they took off with that mortal too. He didn't know what was worse now, to keep the woman on the Isles as some sort of house guest, or to give her away back to Demacia.
The blank expression turned into a light scowl, the obsidian colored skull bending with relative ease. "And what of you, Yorick? What keeps you here on the Isles?"
Yorick listened to what the Chain warden had to say. The Gravedigger didn't fully trust him, but then again, he only fully trusted the Ruined King and Hecarim.
What kept him on the Shadow Isles, well he wasn't the fighter type like Nocturne or Hecarim that had followed the King, and he had work to do, "My Quota keeps me here, tell me Thresh, why are you not among those who left the Isles for the "peace" talks." He asked him, not really caring why the King had decided to leave Thresh behind, after all, he had been in the Invasion.

Thresh looked down at him, but after slowly growing tired of just standing around he decided to continue his walk. "Come, I'm sure you can limp and talk at the same time?" He asked Yorick, a small little chuckle resonating from the ghostly head of his. His eye holes wandered about them, looking at the grand beauty within the death of the Shadow Isles. The spectral leaves floating in the howling wind, branches creaking and rotting trees off to the side.
He looked back down to the Gravedigger, a somewhat unamused look upon his haunting visage. "I've done my part in the invasion, only to have my work go to waste. I'd rather not participate in the peace talks only to see that little wench of a mortal go free right before my eyes." His words were encased with venom. All those souls, set free into the afterlife. All that work, and all that fuel for the Isles, wasted and thrown down the chute.
Yorick followed Thresh for a bit, stopping when he began to speak. "I could care less about the invasion. With it's current outcome it was nothing more than a waste of soldiers." The gravedigger clenched his shovel, he didn't have time for chitchat, unlike the Chain Warden he had work to do.
He turned around and began limping towards the graveyard again, "Unlike you I don't have time for chitchat, Thresh. I have bodies to raise and graves to dig. So if you'll excuse me." He said and left, if the Chain Warden decided to keep talking to him he'd stop for a while, otherwise he'd return to his job at the graveyard.

Thresh tilted his head curiously at the Gravedigger. True, the invasion was just a let down after the King's announcement. "Well, perhaps maybe some time you would like to take some time from the digging holes in the dirt and participate in one of our fights. Would be nice to see some ghouls clawing out someone's eyes, and I'm sure we could appreciate the help as well." He said, before smirking a ghostly smirk. "Besides, it's not like those corpses you're digging holes for aren't going anywhere, right? Well... At least not yet they aren't." He said before chuckling to himself.
The Gravedigger stopped and turned around as The Chain Warden began speaking to him. It had been a while since he left the Isles to kill mortals. Being summoned to the League of Legends didn't count, the kills where, accordingly to Yorick not satisfying enough, as he could not raise them afterwards and force them to fight for him.
A thought came creeping inside his head, he knew that Thresh didn't like the king's decision of pulling back from Demacia instead of destroying them completely. Mordekaiser had felt the same way, but he had acted way worse than Yorick had expected him to, even though he hadn't been in the throne room at the time he had heard metal grinding against stone. Which he assumed was The Ruined king dragging Mordekaiser.
He began outlining a plan inside his head as Thresh spoke, "You want to see me fight? I have a plan, Chain Warden. Once the King returns, we take one of his new pet Generals with us and make a visit to the Demacian outskirts. Maybe say hello to some villagers, collect their souls? What do you say? You'll get to see me fight, mortals will die, you get souls and I get bodies."
He hoped the promise of souls would catch the Chain Warden's attention. After all, Yorick wanted to get of the isles for a while, not counting the time he had spent in the League of Legends's matches he had been on the isles for a few centuries.

Thresh had leaned on the lantern, as it floated in a fix spot. It didn't budge under the the Chain Warden's weight, as he used it to lean his weight onto casually as he engaged in conversation with the hunchback of the Shadow Isles. At the explanation of his plan, Thresh's black skull grew a smile. A wide smile, foreshadowing the shadows that would come and take away the souls of the damned.
"Hmmm, a VERY tempting offer Yorick. Though we do not know what the results of these peace talks will be. We could get in trouble for killing people on the outskirts of a city our king decided to ally with.... For whatever ungodly reason that is..." He said with slight grimace in his dark visage. Yet at this point he won't be surprised if they did settle with peace. "Perhaps somewhere else? They're just recovering, summoners would be out and abound. Maybe we should focus on a place that doesn't has the League's attention AS much."
