It’s got to be bullshit about the cave-in; none of Noxus’ soldiers are so foolish as to get caught in a sabotage! I don’t know why I bother with the Journal of Justice. I don’t think I’ve ever seen something so clearly Demacia-biased in my life, ugh.
(I lost my job at the diner today. Someone pinched my ass, for the fifth damn time this week, and I- lost it, a little. Asshole.)

The next entry contains much more slant in the letters and smudge on the paper. The words practically burn into the page, leaving etched imprints in their haste to be written.

I don’t think I’ve heard of this General before, but that’s just proof I should pay more attention to politics- holy shit! That move with the prisoner, while simple (and probably forced, but hey), was absolutely brilliant.
What’s with the Jarvan pup, though? Aren’t Demacians all about ~*~honesty~*~? If he gave the orders for the mining collapse, then he ought to confess.
Perhaps it is only my desire to see him behind some bars. What a disrespectful little shit!

I looked up a little bit about the General, thinking to find a background story, but… well, I’ve only found military stuff, which doesn’t speak for him in all the detail expected. Wonder what he’s hiding-? Not that I think he’s done anything wrong, per se, but it’s still odd. And I want to know what’s under that scarf!
I was curious about his magic, too, so I watched a League match- ugh, let me tell you about the money that cost. His voice isverycommanding; I

There are hasty erasure marks at the end of the entry, covered over with a play-by-play of the match.

Whoa, poison. Would that have been suicide, or was he convinced to take it? …more likely that he was convinced; the General’svo way of speaking could be incredibly persuasive if he chose to put it to that use.
Yeah, I know, my hand slipped. I’ve just got a thing about people sounding like you can’t disobey them?Worstkinkever.
1 July, 21 CLE
My birthday’s going to be soon~ I have no idea what I want to do. Maybe go find a few men and take them home with me? Heh, mostly kidding. …really, though, what should I do?
How could Demacia have overcome our soldiers near Kalamanda, though? They don’t have assassins, and enough soldiers to take out the whole troop would clearly have left signs of an attack. What the fuck?

The entry for her birthday is blurred with the spill of some liquid, and only contains the date and the number of her years.
(Despite how closely she’d like to play her cards to her chest, Sonder’s more personal journal entries are heated with emotion- if anyone were to find them, they’d have a powerful weapon for blackmail or emotional manipulation. Some of them are written as though to a friend; she uses the second person to self-deprecate and joke.)

I've got to stop doing that.
3 August, 21 CLE
The Journal of Justice has slowed its production immensely, but I found some information from way back on the General- heh, don’t ask me how. Anyway, he got a leg injury; usually not notable, but he apparently didn’t make any noise while they were setting the bones, and he was my age at the time. He’s gotta have immense willpower…
I’d really like to work under him, someday, I think; while some of his tactics may have been morally questionable, his strength definitely isn’t, and their effectiveness justifies it, I think.
I wonder how one gets into the High Command? I mean, I could work on my magic, and get a little further up in the military than “foot soldier", right? Then again, I wanted to be a General when I was a kid, so maybe it’s just childish dreams resurfacing. He’s mysterious, though. I wonder precisely how old he is? And what’s under that shroud?

!
It’s only been- what, a year since I heard of General Swain? He’s already ascended to the rank of the Grand General- I’m impressed. He must be much more powerful than Darkwill was- not by virtue of his rank, but by virtue of his magic and his tactical prowess.
He’s… okay, it’s foolish, but I think he’s cool, to coin an idiotically low-brow term for his je ne sais quoi.
—
As soon as she’s done reading them, Sonder tucks them away into a binder of old writings- there’s a folder marked “Foolish", a folder marked “Important", and a folder marked “what was I thinking and why", which is contained within “Foolish".
Her journal entries fall under “Foolish," and the binder lands on her bookshelf, at the very top, tucked as far back against the wall as she can push.
...it's been a long time since I've written, though; maybe I'll take it up again. It could help me work through some of my thoughts.
