June 3rd
The northwest section of the Raven's Watch was the Intensive Care unit. The worst off patients were here and fought to stay alive. Broken bodies, and the dangerously ill all in one place. This was the closest one got to being dead in Noxus without dying. If a patient was worse off, he was killed.
One room had security. Two men with flanged maces and smaller round shields strapped to their backs stood in front of the doorway and a man with a crossbow sat within. Not much security given the nature of the patient, but further analysis showed little reason for any to want him dead.
He was stuck politically, and seemed to like it that way. He was also an old warrior and had few years left in him, and much fewer given the reason for his stay here.
This was Andre Bleakwood. His leap off the Wall to give Urgot time to stop Maokai's advance into Noxus made him a well respected person, if a tad extreme in his loyalty to Noxus.
The man himself was laid in bed, covered in casts of green Zaunite casts, infused with chemicals said to improve healing when magical means were not being used. All of his limbs were held up by pulleys and positioned to let his limbs heal properly....or as well as they could.

Zorn Agammond walked through the doors to the Intensive Care unit of the Raven's Watch, dressed with his medals, as always, adorning his breast softly clinking together as he walked. There was only one reason the High Command General would bother being here, his comrade Andre was apparently in here somewhere. Zorn marched through the corridors until he found a room with two guards standing beside a door, he walked past them knowing they wouldn't dare halt him.
Zorn let out a sharp bark of laughter at the sight of Andre, "Well don't you look bloody pathetic?" he chuckled and ran a hand through his own hair, "I heard what happened, beating by an overgrown log?"

"Laugh more, fat-ass. The Twisted Treant would have turned you into fine paste." Andre snarled, a bit softer than normal. He clearly was in a sore mood just by being in the hospital, much less with Zorn's teasing. A doctor heard the voices and walked into the room.
"General Bleakwood, I told you no guests! You need your r-"
"I frankly don't give a damn. General Zorn is a colleague of mine and I will not turn him away. You should not try to or one of us might get creative with the method we decide to end your pathetic excuse for a life. So, would you kindly get the fuck out of my room, Doctor?" Andre growled in a stronger voice than before. His archer readied his bow to punctuate that if Andre told him, he would fire. Thus, the doctor left grumbling.
"Private, take a step out." Andre said with a slight twinge of pain on his face. The crossbowman saluted and left the room.

"Fat-ass?" Zorn laughed and gestured at the broken general, "Better than a broken old man." He then suddenly frowned and looked rather serious as he cast his gaze down, "Maybe my fat would have acted as a cushion." He grinned and looked back to Andre, "You must have some big ones, I heard you literally jumped on the damned thing from The Wall screaming like a mad-man. Rumor had it, you were driven insane by fear... I didn't believe a bloody word."
He chuckled and seated himself near the bed, still smiling somewhat from Andre's pissy attitude toward the doctor.

"Fear? THE BASTARDS THOUGHT I FEARED THE THING SO I LEAPT AT IT SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER? Damn, tell those men to go back to scrubbing your boots clean. These bastards obviously don't know me and don't know enough to command a shit brigand."
Andre started to laugh, but his ribs disagreed with the idea. His face went from laughing to grimacing.
"Listen, Zorn. I don't trust that fat undead fuck to watch the Wall while I am in here. I need the Magical fortification finished and you're the best man to see it done. I am sending a request that to the Grand General that you take command of the Wall during my absence."

Zorn raised an eyebrow at the the fact it was going to be requested that he take command of the wall. A slight nod of his head, "I think I can manage that until you come back." He sounded somewhat serious for once, the air of humor disappearing in a heartbeat as Andre asked for his aid in watching the wall. Zorn ran a hand through his own hair in thought, "Yeah. I can do that." He did however frown, "What's Urgot doing there to make you not trust him?"

"Urgot has been a pain in my ass from the start. I got better men to do this job, but Swain felt Urgot made a better figurehead. Thing is, Urgot doesn't want to be a fucking figurehead. He has refused to follow my orders in the past and I don't trust that he wouldn't pay someone to gut me in my sleep. The man lacks knowledge of how he should conduct a siege and Maokia's attack will only make him cocky."
Andre stopped for a moment. Ribs were still on the mend and as such talking was uncomfortable.
"You were with me in Ionia. You know what it was like there. This should be easy for you. Do this for me, and I will buy you a few barrels of that wine you like....what was the name..." Andre paused trying to figure out the name. One of those things that should've been instantly recalled, as he had bought nearly a hundred of such barrels for favors or lost bets in the past.
The door to the ICU would open softly as a pair of figures came inside, one was Andre's attending physician, Dr. Vivienne Van Mordenheim... While the other was the formally robed General Van Mordenheim, who still wore the white coat of her trade, despite being retired from practice due to her new political duties.
Valeria was kind enough to bring a cart with flowers, letters, and Andre's liquid meal for the day, as well as a small cask of a very fine Noxian malt brew. The General offered the injured patient a reassuring smile, the 'diplomat' always offering a hand in friendship... as well as the realization that Valeria was also the leader of half the city's physicians.
"Ah, Gentlemen, good day to you both. News reached my ears of Maokai's attack only recently... I can imagine how you are feeling General Bleakwood, as well as having read your charts, so I won't ask how you feel. So I brought your meal for the day as well as gifts from your officers to lift your spirits." She produced three cups and poured them the fine beer.
She held Andre's cup and added, "Ah. Would you like a straw?" She asked.

Andre's train of thought was derailed by the sickening smell of the liquid meal and the entrance of the other general.
"Do I have a choice, General Valeria? Do me one service and make sure those 'gifts' are checked. A General is always wary....Also serve the beer second. Your food leaves much to be desired....like being actual food. Army iron rations are better." Andre said as lightly as he could, which still had a bit of bitterness to it. He wasn't joking about the food.

Zorn's face grew grim as he heard about Urgot and how he was acting. "He refuses my orders I'll blind the bastard and blast the crab from the wall myself." Zorn then grinned at Andrea, "See if he can fly as well as you can." His face then grew uncharacteristically serious at his friends request, "Alright, I'll do it for you. Might bring Sion along to scare the boys senseless should they defy me." It was a well-known rumor around Noxus about Sion's activities in the dungeons before he was transferred to street patrol.
Zorn was about to answer, only to be interrupted by the arrival of Valeria. He raised and eyebrow as the smell of the food and cringed, "Evening doc." He said as he looked upon the food with disgust, his eyes flicked to the flowers and smirked, "Well, well, well Andre. Who's sending you flowers? You have a girl hiding somewhere?"

"Haven't a Lightshield damned clue who would send me jack shit. Zorn, you know I have no woman. Too busy. Noxus comes first." Andre said with a tilt of his head that could almost be a shrug and likely was given the amount of plaster.
A lot of regrets. His manor had no heir. His army had commanders aplenty, but none that Andre would trust with command, even if they were fit for it. Too old for that sort of thing now. He might be able to find someone fit for his job, but too many just sought power. The patriots were few and far between. Even within his peers.
Valeria tries the soup herself, to put Andre at ease. "Mmmm. Bouillabaisse, from my old personal chef who still works here... acceptable." She looked at Andre and teased him lightly by offering a spoonful of the creamy seafood soup, then letting him try a sip of the fine beer.
"fufufufu..." Valeria let out the most cheeky laugh at hearing Andre's... personal plight, setting the spoon aside a minute.
"You should consider having a family, General, or at least an heir or five, even if you must use a breeding mare from the slave markets." She pats her own belly. "Children are Noxus's future too, General. Wouldn't it be part of your duty to secure its future? I know I've done my share of that duty."

Zorn smirked at Andre, knowing full well Noxus did come first before any and everything, even ones own life, "Wonder who it's from then." He stated dismissively before glaring at Valeria, he dared to tease the man who jumped off the all onto a damned tree ent for Noxus. Dismissing what the doctor said, Zorn looked to Andre, "You could always do what Marcus done before he disappeared, adopt an orphan off the street raise him as your own."

Andre admitted the food was better than expected, but he was a rather simple man with simple tastes. Pomp and circumstance was not his cup of tea, nor was fancy food. However, there was beer, and all that spicy food was forgotten.
Valeria mentioned children and Andre snorted. "I don't tolerate small creatures that make lots of noise and lack discipline."
He turned towards Zorn. "Thank you for your suggestion, Zorn, but do you truly believe I would leave Bleakwood Manor to an orphan? I have plans in place to turn it into a military academy when I pass. Better that than some party house for a orphan or a noble. Thus I can focus on my duties and not on the needs of some brat who I owe no allegiance."
Andre began coughing and the doctor rushed in.
"Generals please. I know your peer is important to our country and I assure you he is in the best hands, but I need him to rest and you are not helping. Please, allow me to get him to rest and you may visit at a later time."

Zorn nodded at Andre as he stood to leave, however as he passed the doctor he leaned in and whispered quietly, "Anything at all goes wrong, a simply slip of food onto his bandages, you even look at him wrong." Zorn growled, "Be it your fault, or someone under you, I'll have Sion hunt you down and drag you back to his dungeon, you've heard the stories? Trust me. They're true."
He then smiled joyfully over his shoulder at Andre, clapped the doctor on the back and was on his way, "I'll make bloody sure those fools on the wall don't fall apart without you Andre. Don't die now, who else is going to point out how large I am at every chance?" With that, Zorn was gone a soft chuckle in his wake.
