Teo slowly reads the letter, his eyes lighting up at the mention of the instrument. The rest didn't affect him much, for he knew little of the League nor did he care. He smiles brightly and gasps, looking up at the Maven with awe. "An Etw-!"
The little yordle is cut off when Sona begins rubbing his face with the hood. His eyes widen with surprise, though they close as the cloth brushes over them. Teo blushes a little and blinks when the Maven is finished, biting his lower lip. "U-uh, thank you..."
In frustration and disappointment to himself, Yoshi bite his lips, sternly looking down at himself before pointing his vision back at Sona.
"It.. was supposed to be my dinner for me and Teo." Yoshi begins to speak, momentarily glaring at the fish merchant and the snooty aristocrat (both are still arguing at each other). He takes the note from Sona, reads it, and murmurs to himself.
My father is right. No matter where you go, you always meet the same kind of blisters and ducks...
His voice picks up to greet Sona.
"I'm sorry about the fish. I don't get the knowledge of some people- anyways! My name is Yoshi Tupelo and I am a musician like you, Sona. But... oh! Teo!"
His voice directs to the small yordle.
"Sona is well known around Valoran. Not only she is a musician master but also she uses her musical energy to combative uses in arenas. Her musical auras brought warriors of many kinds to victory. Aaaand..." Yoshi pauses as an idea lights up.
"That would be grateful, Sona. With the fish... we all can have dinner together."

Sona smiles at his thanks, and nods graciously. A small part of her can't help but note how cute his small, furred face is, but she tries not to let it show in her expression. 'You're welcome,' she writes, then adds a perfunctory description of her instrument. I should have taken it with me, she muses.

The Maven nods, not seeming averse to the idea. 'Where would you like to eat? I wouldn't want to have you walk unbearable distances, and I do know a few good places nearby.' She knows that her legs are already sore, and can only imagine how much longer such a walk would seem to someone whose legs are a third the length of hers.
Teo takes his time reading the message, still dazed from embarrassment. When the Maven seems unoccupied, he looks up to her with a small smile, showing her his special flute. "I-I play too. The flute is my favorite... but... I know how to play a lot of instruments."
"I'm sorry Sona, but I never visit Ionia that much. Most of my performances have been in Bandle, Piltover and sometimes Demacia." Yoshi points out. He assumes that Sona knows Ionia better than himself.

Sona looks over Teo's instrument with a smile, recalling the tune he'd performed moments ago. 'It's a lovely instrument,' she answers, her pen skimming quickly across the page, 'and you're very good with it. What others do you play?' She tears off the strip of paper before turning to Yoshi, handing down another.
'It's nothing to be sorry for, though it's a lovely place. Performing here wouldn't allow much time to enjoy it. Now- how about that dinner? Follow me.'
Her steps are shaky as she proceeds through the crowd, occasionally looking back to ensure that the two Yordles follow along. Having spent so much time floating by the music of her Etwahl, she's not used to nearly this much walking, and her feet are sore. I'm only thankful it's not too far from here, Sona muses to herself, a soft sigh passing her lips.
Teo takes his time reading the scrap of paper, so absorbed in the writing and thinking that he nearly gets left behind. As soon as he notices the other two leaving, the young yordle scurries to stay close behind.
"Uh, well, I can play the violin, the trumpet, the clarinet, the flute, the oboe, the harmonica, a little bit of the saxophone, the piano, some of the trombone and tuba, the harp, the upright base..." The kid rambles on and on to himself, listing off any instrument that he had had a chance to play back at the orphanage or in other places in Bandle during his youth. This is including many, many percussion instruments. Eventually his list comes to an end and he turns back to Sona.
"But this flute is my favorite! It... my... my parents gave it to me... before..." His voice trails off and he looks down at his instrument again, tears starting to well up in his eyes as he remembers the day the Noxians invaded.
Yoshi rubs Teo's back to make him feel better. He gets close to Teo's ear to whisper, "No need to cry, Teo. We're going to get dinner." He brings out his handkerchief to wipe Teo's eyes dry as the two continue to follow Sona.

As he lists the instruments, the Maven's eyes widen- having such skill with even just the flute, after having known so many, is a very impressive feat, and she lets him know that in her writing. 'Even I have only mastered one. The last instrument I played, save for my etwahl, was a piano.
It's very obvious the flute is your favorite; your playing was lovely.'
She stops walking for a moment to bend down, and give the child the note (which is punctuated by a heartfelt smile). His sadness is palpable despite his dry eyes, but she doesn't mention it, seeing no purpose in bringing it up again.
Teo sniffles and rubs his eyes even after they've been wiped dry. Despite the fact that he's old enough to be an adult, the young yordle still has a very child-like mentality. He takes the new message from Sona with both hands and reads it slowly, blushing and blinking several times. The words astonish him a little, and he's too embarrassed to look up at her. "M-mastered? Um... well I haven't really mastered any instruments... I just taught myself how to play them. There weren't very many fun things to do at the orphanage, but every weekend I could go to the nice man next store and learn about a new instrument if I wanted. He even let me play it if he had it. But uh... a lot of the time he just taught me stuff on the flute."
Once the three start walking again, the boy turns to Yoshi. "Um... Master Yoshi... I'm sorry for not getting the clothes before... I... got too scared. Maybe we can go together after dinner?"

Yoshi breathes out a short gasp of air, then a little chuckle as he forgot to get Teo dressed. How could he forget that? Maybe it might be that League champion and musician that has the two hyped up to meet.
To get Teo new clothes is still Yoshi's priority. However, meeting and possibly befriending the famed maestro is an opportunity that cannot be missed. He politely reassures to Teo.
"We can worry about that, Teo. Right now, I want you to meet one of Valoran's famed maestros and learn from her."
