Some of you probably remember the time when yours truly went on a rather vicious rampage where I changed Maelstrom's look constantly, yet that all stopped (obviously) after this look was updated. This is because Proboards was going through puberty and is now onto v5 (version 5) which means... different codes, different default look, different everything.
Swain had decided not to change Maelstrom into v5, instead opting to wait until all boards are changed which will be around October. This means that all my codes will break and I'd rather that not happen. So I need to get started on renovating, but I'd like you, the people, to tell me what you want.
Here are some of the questions I'm interested in hearing your answers and opinions to:
1) What do you like about the current skin? 2) What additions would you like to see? (E.g. word count, popout chatbox, money system, posting templates...) 3) What features are completely useless for you right now? (Census, awards, etc)
The most important one for me right now, however, is the look of the skin itself:
1) What color combinations would you like to see? 2) What should Maelstrom's look focus on? Would you like to see Runeterra as the background? Destruction, ruin and despair?

I'm just gonna treat this as a questionnaire.
1) What do you like about the current skin? I personally like how it's relatively simplistic, and things are easy to see when they're posted. Also, the Noxian insignia gives it a really cool appearance. 2) What additions would you like to see? (E.g. word count, popout chatbox, money system, posting templates...) I would personally like a easier-to-navigate thread layout. Also, I often find myself using the forums on my portable device, which causes some problems like the links at the top having seizures. If having them act normally without me having to buy the ProBoards app counts as 'something I'd like to see' then yes, I'd very much like to see it. 3) What features are completely useless for you right now? (Census, awards, etc) The most useless feature for me would have to be the Karma system. While I occasionally drop a point or two for people, I don't see myself giving Karma out on the hour every hour. However, that's not to say I'd like to see it gone.
1) What color combinations would you like to see? I personally am fine with how it is right now, but a bit more blue may be nice. Nothing incredibly bright, maybe a bit dimmer. 2) What should Maelstrom's look focus on? Would you like to see Runeterra as the background? Destruction, ruin and despair? The Noxus feel, while cool, is a bit too focusing on one city state. I think that yes, having Runeterra as a whole would be a good call.
That's about all I have to say. I'm not good with graphic design/website layout, so my opinion deserves to be taken with a grain of salt.
However, I wish you good luck on improving and remodeling the website!

*The Census, but require improvements.
And that thing that says "Hey, X, you have X MESSAGES, X are new"

*When want to post something, and then i make a "Preview" of my post, the "Topic Summary" disappears... that is annoying.
*As i said already, I would like to see a better census: if you click a City, you can see a list with the OC/Champions from that city state... But that must be hard work...
*A longer Box to write messages/reply?
*And a easier way to change the fonts?

*I don't understand why appears 2 avatars of each champion on the "staff" and "awards".
*As Jay said, i don't see the the point of the "karma"

Maybe, instead of the "Noxian Beast" and Noxus, change the Logo and City, depending of the place?... Nah, too much work since not all the places have a logo.

3) What features are completely useless for you right now? (Census, awards, etc) The Karma system, I haven't really given anyone Karma, so I don't feel that it has much of a use other than bragging rights.
4) What color combinations would you like to see? I like the current one, but maybe try some different shades of green maybe? Or something that would be awesome is a different color on the site depending on what Sub-forum you are in.

2) What additions would you like to see? (E.g. word count, popout chatbox, money system, posting templates...) A list of races, beasts and descriptions of them.
3) What features are completely useless for you right now? (Census, awards, etc) Census is kinda useless but it's still nice to have. C-box has become somewhat redundant for most too.
The most important one for me right now, however, is the look of the skin itself:
1) What color combinations would you like to see? Champion colors for their accounts. So, Shyvana would have a blue red gold theme, Evelynn would have a blue pink, Zed would have black, white and greys. An option to customize it ourselves for OCs? 2) What should Maelstrom's look focus on? Would you like to see Runeterra as the background? Destruction, ruin and despair? Have it change with the biggest plot, so, say the Void invade again... Have creatures like Cho'Gath and such in the setting their attacking if at all possible. Or, have it so you can change it yourself to certain scenes from MS' past.
