Now to introduce the purpose of this thread, what is the fun backstory behind skins like Gentlemen Cho'Gath, Astronautilus, and Arclight Varus? Maybe an alternative history can make account to the skins and their purpose? Maybe so.
Anyways, I'm gonna have fun making up alternate lores for the fun skins! Here's one that I can try to start it off! And what'd ya think? Criticism is happily allowed and if anyone has tales of their alternate skins such as Bilgewater Swain, post them here!
As for anyone thinking why I did not put on the title of this thread if it's canon or non-canon is because some of the skins link with their lores. One such example is the Victorious Jarvan IV skin because his lore can be canon and can describe one battle he participated in. Blacksmith Poppy is another because it can talk about her life as a blacksmith before her father's death. And in other cases, the Justicar Syndra skin may have a tale of redemption instead of killing her own master in the original lore.
The Kinkou Hospital - The Explanation of the Medical Skins (NON-CANON)
For generations, a hospital as ancient as time itself has devoted their purposes to healing and medical practices. The Kinkou Hospital is well known for its cure for any form of disease and curses and it employs an array of doctors and nurses to ensure that all of Valoran is healthy and well fit. Some of its famous doctors and nurses rose from the Kinkou Hospital, the most recent are working in the League of Legends tending wounds to battle-hardened champions. Shen is a neurosurgeon, whose recent achievement include spliting a brain of a child and yet retain its personality and knowledge. Nurse Akali is a certified nurse anesthesiologist, who she gets payed equally to doctors just knocking people out before surgery. And Kennen is a certified diagnostician who has discovered thousands of new diseases and has found ways to cure them in his first try. Unfortunately, the triumvirate are but make up a very few who actually follow medical law, especially HIPPO (Health Insurance Privacy Protection Order). Not even Shen's father, who is the Hospital Administrator and leads the Kinkou Hospital, is following all the rules.
Then the Kinkou Hospital took a new change. Zed was a doctor in training and he was expelled from the hospital when he refused to save a dying patient's life, primarily because the patient issued a DNR (do not resuscitate). He wandered through the years, working in fast food places for minimum wage. Being a doctor is all he could ever want it to be and as time passed by, Zed was filled with ambition that the Kinkou Hospital will recognize the wrong. He took up in law and became a gifted student. His brilliance has found many followers for Zed and soon he had a entire army of lawyers at his side. Zed and his lawyers marched back to the hospital. When Shen, Akali, and Kennen saw the multitude of papers and pen ready to sue, they knew that the hospital that they served is going to be brought down and immediately gathered a selected few who followed the rules and escaped. The rest of the doctors and nurses who stayed behind were immediately fired, including Shen's father.
After the purge of malpracticing doctors and nurses, Zed converted the abandoned hospital into a law school. Beside the law school was the new Kinkou Hospital Shen, Akali, and Kennen now run alongside with Zed. The Kinkou Hospital and the Kinkou Law School (he couldn't name it the Shadow Law School, it's "illegal" in Ionia) work together, intending to bring balance to a patient's body, master the art of healing, and evict doctors and nurses who refuse to follow HIPPO.
