Name: Twisted Fate
Alias: The Cardmaster
Class: Mage/Rogue
Race: Human
Age: 30
Occupation: Champion, Conman, Outlaw, Card shark, Lover.
Residence: Wandering across Valoran
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Abilities:
Gambler's Hand (Passive): Whenever in combat Twisted Fate always has seven cards up his sleeve or at his disposal. These seven cards are determined randomly (using a random number generator) and Twisted Fate can use them to power one of his abilities or enchant them to create an individual effect. He can not have duplicate cards in the same hand (but creating them is a different story).
((The way this will work is that in the random number generator 1-26 are regular old playing cards, however 27-52 are tarot cards. I will have the number generator generate 7 numbers from this range and those cards will be the ones that Twisted Fate drew in his hand. This essentially translate into a 50-50 chances for Twisted Fate to draw either a tarot card or a playing card.))
Sleight of Hands: Twisted Fate may discard the current seven cards in his hand and draw a new hand, which can contain the same cards as the previous hand. He can only use this ability 5 times per thread or day.
Loaded Dice (Passive): Twisted Fate has a natural foresight that can alert him to events that will occur in the near future, in combat situations this can be quite critical and helpful. Therefore, Twisted Fate has a 10% (using a random number generator again) chance to see an event occurring or the action that an enemy takes.
Wild Cards: Twisted Fate tosses three enchanted cards in a cone in front him that deal heavy magic damage to the targets that they hit and pass through. These cards have a range of 15 feet. Damage nor range is reduced by passing through any enemy.
Cooldown: 1 post
Pick A Card:Twisted fate may enchant any card in his hand into one of the following.
Cooldown: 1 post after the special card is launched.
Gold Card: Twisted Fate deals low magic damage to the target, but stuns them for 4 seconds.
Red Card: Twisted Fate deals medium physical damage to the target, and targets within a 5 foot radius of the main target. Furthermore, all targets within that 5 foot radius are slowed by 50% for 2.5 seconds.
Blue Card: Twisted Fate deals heavy magic damage to the target and restores some of his mana. This attack also has knocks the target back by 1 foot.
Stacked Deck: Twisted Fate's basic attacks are often enchanted by this ability(otherwise I would do nothing to just about everybody) . If they are enchanted then Twisted Fate's basic attacks will explode upon contact or after a ten second timer. These explosions will deal medium magic damage to the primary target, but because it is an explosion it will deal light magic damage if they are shoulder to shoulder with someone else.
Destiny: Twisted Fate gazes into the future after channeling for a few moments activating his Loaded Dice passive for the next 10 seconds. Furthermore, stealthy or invisible enemies are revealed as none can hide from Destiny's gaze. Should Twisted Fate channel for 1 post he is able to teleport to anywhere he has been with those who are touching him.
Note: The ten seconds of foresight (Loaded Dice) is only for the situation he is in. That means I will not gaze into the future of what Swain is planning in Noxus if I am trying to escape from the guards in Demacia. The foresight only affects those involved with the situation or those that will play a role. No more, no less.
Tarot Cards: Like most gypsies, Twisted Fate uses tarot cards, and these cards have each of their own special effects should Twisted Fate enchant them. They are as follows:
The Fool: Target gains 20 movement speed for 7 seconds.
The Magician: Target gains 20 ability power for the duration of the day/thread (whichever comes first). Cannot be stacked upon by additional Magician cards.
The High Priestess: Target gains 15 magic resist for the duration of the day/thread (whichever comes first). Cannot be stacked upon by additional High Priestess cards.
The Empress: A target hit by this card suffers medium magic damage; all damage deal by this card is transferred as a shield to Twisted Fate. This shield lasts for 7 seconds, or when it absorbs 150 flat damage.
The Emperor: The target is suppressed for the next 2 seconds, but Twisted Fate is unable to attack or use any other abilities during this time. Though he is able to move, as long as it is away from the suppressed target.
The Hierophant: Gives the target 20 additional magic penetration for 6 seconds.
The Lovers: Target is charmed and drawn toward Twisted Fate for 3 seconds.
The Chariot: Target gains 10 movement speed for the duration of the day/thread (whichever comes first). Cannot be stacked up by additional The Chariot cards.
Strength: Target gains an additional 20 attack damage for the duration of the day/thread (whichever comes first). Cannot be stacked upon by additional Strength cards.
The Hermit: The target is knocked back several feet away from Twisted Fate.
Wheel of Fortune: The target’s next attack is a guaranteed critical hit.
Justice: The target is rooted in place for 3 seconds and if they have higher health than TF they take medium magic damage over time.
The Hanged Man: The target is slowed by 30% for the next 3 seconds.
Death: Twisted Fate deals an additional 25% damage to the target for 6 seconds.
Temperance: Creates a tether between Twisted Fate and the target for 5 seconds or until they get out of range for one another (10 feet). This tether drains the movement speed 15 movement speed from the target and gives it to Twisted Fate.
The Devil: The target is enraged and attacks any nearby allies or enemies for 3 seconds.
The Tower: Target gains 15 armor for the duration of the day/thread (whichever comes first). Cannot be stacked up by additional Tower cards.
The Star: The target loses 20 magic resist for 6 seconds if this card strikes them.
The Moon: Target is feared for the next 3 seconds.
The Sun: The target is blinded for 4 seconds, and all non-magical attacks will miss.
Judgment: Deals massive magic damage to the target and knocks up into the air for 1 second.
The World: A target struck by this card has the very ground beneath their feet rises around them and obstruct their path and line of sight (like Jarvan’s cataclysm). Such an obstacle can be climbed over, but it will take time.
The Eye: Deals medium magic damage to the target.
The Swords: Deals medium physical damage to the target.
The Shackle: stuns the target for 1 second.
Cup’s: Heals target for 30/40/50/60/70/80/90/100/110/120/130/140/150/160 health. The amount depends on the type of card for example a 5 of cups would only heal for 70 health, while a page of cups heals for 130 health.
Relationships:
Evelynn: His ex-lover whom which he still has unresolved feelings for....he never knew why she walked away that fateful day.
Mai/Kuromei/Sky: His current lover, who now act a partners in crime, so do be careful and watch your wallets and coin purses.
Graves: Twisted Fate's old con partner who has recently escaped from prison and his now after The Cardmaster. Twisted Fate treats Graves as an annoyance rather than a serious threat.
Caitlyn: Perhaps the serious threat that Twisted Fate fears the most, but that doesn't stop him from teasing her a every now and then.
Vi: Twisted Fate helped her escape from Piltover in exchange for a big favor, one which he has yet to call in yet.
Description: The Cardmaster stands around six feet tall give or take a few inches. However, his signature trademark is his hat, cape and charm. He is never seen without his favorite, some claim "lucky", hat with a gold band with a square shaped insignia front and center. On this insignia is an "X", whatever this means tends to be unknown to the general public. This hat tends to cover his eyes, which some speculate it to prevent others from seeing his pupils dilate when he has a good hand. Others say it is to hide some hideous side effect from view, whatever the case very few get to see what's under that hat. Also...never touch the hat unless he gives you explicit permission. However, his hat does not conceal Twisted Fate's long black hair with a silver hue to it.
The cape Twisted Fate wears is blue on the outside and red on the inside, furthermore it has gold trim to add further flair. The Cardmaster is usually seen wearing a goldish brown vest complete with leather shoulder pads with a bronze trim. Under this vest he wears a long faded blue shirt with leather cuffs on his wrists, the perfect place to stash cards, these cuffs also have a bronze trim. Twisted Fate always wears long blue pants with a brown leather belt as well.
Twisted Fate is quite the character. He is witty, charming, clever, and quite the ladies' man. He is always on his best manners around women that he finds particularly attractive, he is still looking for his destined one after all, and he has no doubt that he will find her soon.
Twisted Fate is a silver tongued devil, and this makes him a skilled conman. Furthermore, he seems to have a network of information gathers, who only he is aware of. Each one informing him of important happenings in the city states. Thus he knows what information is truthful and what he can lie about. The Cardmaster is also quite versatile, he has learned to adapt to situations on the fly, and this has saved him many times from pursing mobsters or law enforcement.
However, Twisted Fate has always been a bit prideful and greedy. He is a little bit of a self-centered individual, except when it comes to women, and tends to look out for himself. Unless, the other person can offer him a really sweet deal. He also is a bit of a thief andcheater winner. So one can expect him to come out ahead on any under the table deal or card game.
Biography:
Although born to poor gypsy parents, the champion known as Twisted Fate was able to gamble his way to prosperity as a card shark in the seedy underground gambling circuits of Demacia and Noxus. No matter how close the authorities came to catching him, the rogue always found a way to slip through their fingers. Despite his good fortune, he was never able to win that which he truly desired - the ability to control magic. When Twisted Fate learned of an experiment being conducted in Zaun that might help him with his wish, he did the only thing a gambler of his worth could do - he went all in and volunteered for the experiment.
Conducted by the infamous Dr. Xavier Rath, Twisted Fate was told that the wager for such participation might be steep. He might change forever, or nothing might happen, or he might die horribly. Pain, however, was likely a part of the deal no matter the outcome. These were hardly the worst odds the gambler had faced; his hopes raised, Twisted Fate underwent the experiment, enduring what he must for a chance at his dream. Then, it ended - with seemingly no effect whatsoever. The gypsy rogue flew into a murderous rage, but, before he could strike down the team, he suddenly teleported himself miles away. With a sly grin, he realized his luck had won out yet again. He now brings his luck and rakish charm to the Institute of War, where he is the Champion of choice for many - especially the gambling kind. To this day, Twisted Fate has avoided his inevitable reunion with Dr. Rath. The Card Master knows, however, that a confrontation is coming.
While the future may be mysterious and unknown to most, Twisted Fate is certain that his future lies within the cards.
