Roam? Roam where? If he left Demacia, he would be near impossible to track. This means one of two things. Staying in the city...for who knows how long. That was no real choice for a man who seeks to earn his stay. There was only one place he could stay.
"My prince, you will find me at the Brightblade Keep. Some whelp needs training and I cannot afford to roam if I am so needed upon your return." 'To babysit a mage-child.' Victus added in his head. "Send the house word when you have returned, and I will be ready. 'Til we meet again." Victus bows and marches westward.

Though he knew the answers as they came, Garen's anger did not die. It was only until the familiar sound of Jarvan's voice pierced the red haze behind his eyes did he turn slightly. The order was given, and Garen clenched his armored fist tightly. He could see his own pain reflected in his Prince's taut visage. At first, confusion flitted his own when it fully dawned on the Demacian captain. Jarvan was leaving to attend to the Void infestation in Icathia - he was leaving the city in their hands. He nodded, "I will. With my life." He would not leave the King's side; entrusted with such an important task, Garen would rather die than allow himself to fail his country.
As Jarvan gave Lux and the strange Black Knight their own missions, he cast his eyes around the city once more. A familiar clench in his gut fed his determination, and he bowed stiffly to Jarvan. "Excuse me." His gaze lingered on Lux, her bubbly disposition so familiar yet foreign - only his countenance betrayed concern for her safety, but words did not come. His stare traveled towards the man named Victus, and though he had already left, his glare was kept firm until he was out of sight. With a final nod, Garen turned heel and made his way back to the Crownguard Manor.

Lux smiled brightly at Victus as he left, waving slowly even though his back was turned to her. She shouldn't say she was excited to go on such a mission - she truly wished the events that had sparked it's need had not happened - but she would have been lying if she said she wasn't looking forward to leaving the city for a while. Demacia was Luxanna's home and she would do anything to protect it but that did not mean she was immune to the charms of the other city-states.
She watched her brother retreat, knowing that he was heading in the general direction of their manor, but did not move to follow him. Instead she waved him goodbye and turned her attention back to her prince, unsure if he was ready to dismiss her yet. She gazed up at Jarvan wide eyed, small smile tugging onto her lips as she brushed a stray golden lock away from her eyes, "Is my assistance required any further tonight?"
Galio nodded at Jarvan and bowed to him when he received his orders.
"As you wish your highness. I will alert you or your father if I notice anything."
He looked over at Lux, Victus and Garen and gave them all a stiff nod as he spread his wings and with a few power beats, took to the skies to patrol the air once more. He would not fail again.
