Well folks, it's been a hell of a ride for me here at Maelstrom, but I am going to be taking a break from roleplaying for an indefinite amount of time. Why, you may ask? I have several reasons, but thankfully, none of them have anything to do with the rest of you guys. Since I first claimed Shaco in January, I joined a great community that was very welcoming and fun overall!
However, the main reason why I am taking a break (there are others, not just this) is because I just lost the motivation to post. I am not sure what caused this, but it was certainly not being busy. I had a lot of time to post, but I just never felt like it most of the time. On top of that, I began to feel guilty not posting and all, which sort of just forced out posts from me that weren't in depth or anything really.
Some other reasons include the champions I claimed weren't the best fit for me. Sure, Shaco and Gragas were tons of fun to play, and I had a great time with both of them, but I sort of felt someone else could do portray these champions ten times better than I ever could. Also, I just want to free these champions up now so that nobody spends a three week waiting period wanting the champions I play while I sit twiddling my inactive thumbs.
So, in general, I'll be taking a step down for a little bit. Following this post, I will be unclaiming Shaco and Gragas. I'll still be active on League (SN is Green Earth Guy in case you don't have it) and I might visit Skype every now and then, but until I get the motivation to post and roleplay back, I will be inactive for an indefinite time.
That being said, if I do end up not coming back (very, VERY unlikely) I would like to thank each and every one of you for making me feel welcomed in this humble Maelstrom community. I would also like to give a very special thanks to Swain and the rest of the staff. It's amazing the amount of work you put into this community to make sure it was a wonderful place to roleplay.
