Even as the Institute has imprison some its champions. Few have lived within its walls willingly. Each using the facilities to what they need. One such champion that has made his home within the institute is the little mummy known to many as Amumu. Having stayed with the league on the promise that they would help him restore his lost memories. The little mummy does what he can to help with what the summoners ask of him.
His room filled with a collection of things he had taken interest in. A lot of the space filled with pets he had gathered from the Great Hunt. He had little to do in the institute, but he spent time with others. Even as sad as he was he always enjoyed company. One of the many people he had been lucky to be friends was The Dark Child, Annie. The times he spent alone always made him ponder on his life before. Who he was, who his family was, and why he was undead in the first place. The thoughts always burden him as his heart could not beat. Maybe that was always why he sought companionship to keep such thoughts away.

Graceful footsteps fell in rhythm down the quiet hall. Summoner Vera Lorian had received a two week vacation following her service in Freljord and today was her first day back! She felt relieved to be back in the familiar warm halls of the Institute. Not that she hadn't appreciated the rest--simply that there was so much to be done, being away was hard. Her heart belonged here, with the summoners and champions who were still loyal to the League, who still sought peace and prosperity for all Valoran according to the Institute's ideals.
A small bag with the printed Sinful Succulence logo swung from her hand as she neared Amumu's door. Thank goodness Morgana still did business at the Institute. Otherwise, lunch wouldn't be quite as delicious. But her artisan sandwiches, scrumptious as they were, were enough to feed a Freljordian warrior. So the small Ionian woman had decided to share--with someone who would probably appreciate some company as much as she would.
Her dainty hand knocked lightly on the door. "Amumu?" came her gentle address through her slight Ionian accent. "Are you hungry? I had hoped to find a friend for lunch." Suddenly the thought crossed her. Did he even eat? Could he? Would he enjoy it? As soon as the words left her lips, she felt foolish. She hoped his re-animation allowed him to enjoy food... The sandwich's fresh-baked scent wafted up towards her nostrils, delicious.

Tending to his pets with ease and care. Though... a few would be considered cute but had deadly poisons within their skin. To the small mummy's advantage he was undead so the effects of such poisons were rather not as effective to him as they would be to others among the living. Hearing the knock on his door he heard the Ionian's invite for food. Her voice reminding him of other Ionian's he had encountered. Having interacted with many after the "Trial of the Isle".
Remembering the victory they had he was glad to have taken part within aiding Ionia. Reaching the door he opens it slowly looking up at his visitor. "Oh hello there summoner. I wouldn't mind spending lunch with you." One of the few things that benefits an undead was that he never needed food. Though that doesn't mean he didn't enjoy the taste.
Inviting her inside his room. He made sure to have her sit somewhere safe. So long as she wasn't near any of the dangerous pets. Things would be just fine.

Vera smiled brightly, settling on the mummy's miniature bed. She tucked her robes beneath her and nodded in thanks for his invitation. "Oh, look at your pets!" she exclaimed. Some of them looked positively adorable. Others, perhaps dangerous. But a love of animals was apparently something she shared with the little undead. "Why, it is positively a menagerie!" Menagerie. That was a good word, with no real Ionian translation. She felt proud to have used it effectively in a sentence.
"I have brought," Vera paused dramatically as she extracted her treats from the bag. "A sandwich. Turkey and hummus and sprouts with melted cheese." She smiled again. "There is too much for me to eat alone." She separated the two halves and offered one to her companion. "And when we are finished? There is a giant cookie, still hot from Morgana's bakery!"
Her brown eyes twinkled with cheerful anticipation of his reaction as she looked encouraging from Amumu to the overlarge sandwich half in her hand, an encouraging nod indicating that he should take it. "I hope you like chocolate!"

With all that had been happening with the league it was nice to just enjoy a simple lunch. Especially a visitor which was slowly becoming less of an occurrence. The Summoner's interest in his pets made him a bit happy to have the company.
With the subject of food it had brought into mind the first time he may have tried such luxury. Hearing many things from others within the institute about the Sinful Succulence. The small amnesiac hadn't really put time into retrieving food unless he was with a living person. "Oh... thanks you, but is it.... is it really alright if I have half of your lunch?" He wasn't sure if he should. Those that weren't undead did need their meals and he didn't wish to burden them if they needed such things. However Amumu couldn't be rude, she did offer him some.
The moment she brought up chocolate though there was a small spark in his eyes. He had loved the taste of the sweet little treat. The first time he had chocolate was when he first met Annie she had been kind enough to share her the sweet with him. It was the day he had become friends with her as well. "I...I love chocolates..." The only response he could really give a bit self-conflicted if he should indulge in her gifts or not.

"Oh, of course it is all right!" Vera exclaimed, brandishing the sandwich. It was quite large, even split in half. "Here you go." She smiled sweetly. "There is little better than the bread Morgana bakes fresh. Except perhaps her chocolates! Here."
The little Ionian woman dug around in her bag and extracted several brightly-wrapped chocolate candies. She laid them out beside her on the bed, her eyes twinkling. "All for you, if you like them--but oh I must caution you against eating too many too quickly, Amumu. The tummyaches they will give! Delicious chocolate worms in your stomach." She laughed over her little joke, diluted by the language barrier, potentially insensitive--though inadvertently so.
The summoner took the first bite of her sandwich, her eyes half-mooned in enjoyment. After she chewed and swallowed, she dabbed the corners of her mouth with her sleeve, inquiring, "What has occupied your time of late, my yordle friend? Your pets look healthy!"

Grabbing the give piece which both halves seemed too big to be even called a 'piece' of a sandwich in the first place. Taking a bite out of his piece. The taste was almost overwhelming. Though after the first bite he couldn't help but take another. Maybe one more bite just remind himself of the taste.
"tish ish good!" He exclaimed still chewing his food as he talked. Receiving the chocolates he felt a pang of joy in him. Wiping his tears to make sure it won't ruin the sandwich.
"Thanks for the chocolates..... I'll be careful not to.... to eat too much." Though he might consider eating five after she leaves.
"Oh well.... I haven't been doing much..... I've well, helped around with what I can. Then gather food for my pets.... I'm a bit worried about the recent events in Demacia.... I think I should go..... and help." The undead attacking Demacia worried him. He didn't want to be like them and he knew he wasn't. However he was still undead. So if he could do anything to help he felt like he should.

Vera's tongue clicked against the roof of her mouth at his mention of Demacia. The small Ionian woman knit her brows. The lump forming in her throat made it difficult to swallow her bite of sandwich, but she gulped it down before remarking, "I am worried too...
"But you know, Amumu," she slid off the bed and onto her knees before him, about his height in this pose. Vera hesitated only a moment before pulling the little champion into her embrace. "Whatever happens," she gave him a comforting squeeze, "we will pull through. We will uphold the Institute's peace. I have no doubt that everything will turn okay... in the end." Her voice quivered only slightly, enough to indicate her concern over the grimness of current events, but not enough to contradict her statement. Whatever happened, they would carry on.

Thoughts lay before the dead yordle. Thoughts of the institutes current state and of what path would lay before him. So far there has been no results of remembing his past life may have been like. Who he may have been or what he may have done. Thoughts always strayed thinking of his possible past life. Some good. However what always stuck with him was the bad things he could had done.
Possible atrocities or misdeeds he did while he was alive. Amumu tried his best to not let thoughts like this get to him, but they always came back just like his good thoughts. Thinking about it more... maybe returning to his crypt may be a good idea. Looking around he started packing some stuff. Some good luck charms, but mainly food just for the taste. The trip shouldn't be too long considering the sad little mummy never sleeps.

August 24th, 23 CLE
Rising up from his bed after long thought Amumu gave one good look at his room and had finally admitted to himself one important fact he must come to terms. One aspect in his un-life that had to be maintained and controlled. The one thing he enjoyed to do that was becoming overbearing and taking too much of his time......
Amumu had to give his pets away for adoption. Having lost count of how many he's gathered during his stay in the institute. Maybe the summoners or even some of the other champions would want a pet. He never knew but he couldn't keep them all together. Just the other day he spotted two trying to eat each other.
Having retrieved a big sign the mummy began writing down on it. As it was finished it read. 'Amumu's Pet Adoptions.'
In big bold letters to stand out he would have to get started tomorrow no sense in having to say goodbye to his friends today.
