April 4th, 23 CLE, Functionary Chamber of Steward Summoner Ethan Ramseyt
Day in, day out, Ramseyt sat in his office, frantically trying to keep up with the flood of work that had so recently begun to pile up ahead of the Stewards from the flurry of activity taking place in the world. Ethan leaned back in his chair, taking a rare moment to look troubled without the prying eyes of the public to see him worried for the future.
With his blue eyes closed and his body relaxed back into his chair, his thoughts wandered to his home. With all that had so recently erupted, the Void incursion, so many dangerous Champions now free to roam, even the attack on Noxus at the hands of Varus and the slow trickle of news from Demacia. They were the winds of change, the seeds of something greater, in times of relative peace. And no wind blows that does not seek to upset that which stood.
He brought a hand to his face and rubbed the bridge of his nose, loosing a sigh to express what limited frustration he could to the eerily silent room he spent so much of his time in. The sun was beginning to set, something he only noticed now. He had stayed far later than he had wanted to, but it was for the greater good. The couch along the side wall of his office became the subject of his thoughts, wondering if he should simply rest there for the night rather than trudge to his quarters.

Do not falter from the path of peace, justice and truth will set you free.
The fallen angel walked through the halls of the institute with a brisk pace, her magenta eyes glowed beneath her purple hair that had fallen across her face. Irritation, lack of communication between the league and her, the escapes, the invasions all putting a dent in the trust Morgana had placed within the league. She was fed up, she would not allow herself to remain allied to the league if they could no longer help her. They seemed to be getting weaker, unable to claim back the escaped champions. Where as Noxus was growing ever stronger, as she lived there it was beginning to make sense to perhaps strike a deal with them if the league couldn't give her what she needed.
Without so much as a knock Morgana opened the door to her appointed steward's office and moved towards Ethan, her arms folded across her chest as she stared at the summoner, her voice sounding somewhat frustrated, "I was given the impression the institute was one of the strongest forces on this world, I was promised aid my in my war with the tyrants of my world in exchange for my services within the league."
Her eyes narrowed at the summoner, "With the recent events how can I be sure you are all still powerful enough to aid me." growled at Ethan, "I will NOT remain allied with someone who can not continue to help me."

Ethan immediately stopped what he was doing and placed his files aside, giving the Fallen Angel his undivided attention. Seeing her this annoyed was something he wasn't particularly used to, but he did need to help her. He was familiar with the League's contributions to her power already, having wished that he had been around to make the decision.
"Surely you understand that with everything that has been going on, we have been distressingly busy, yes?" Ethan asked Morgana, though it was nothing more than a statement of the extremely obvious, "Furthermore, maintaining peace on our world is of paramount importance to us at the moment. We have not forgotten what we have pledged to you, Morgana."
The summoner reached down into a drawer and pulled out a personnel file, flipping through pages quickly as he thought. He had expected her to come looking for something, but not with threats to leave the League. He spoke up again, looking up from his book as he did, "The Artificers may be able to allot a project strictly to aiding you. Understand that while we have many things at our disposal, to be able to help you, we will need to understand so much more about your kind and even about your own magic."
He paused and gave the Fallen Angel a meaningful look, trying to impart exactly how grave his next words were, "Gone are the days when we can foolishly allow you to take our diminished, dwindling human resources."

Lee Sin crossed the halls of the Institute, the reverberations giving him the directions he needed to the room he wanted to find. Turning to one side of the wall, he loudly stomped the ground and raised his head, following the sound as it read the inscription of the door for him. He nodded, satisfied with himself for finding it.
He knocked thrice, reaching for the knob and giving it a quick turn as he padded straight through the door.
"Summoner, there is something I-" Lee Sin paused. His footsteps told him that there was someone else here. The vibrations gave him an image of a familiar champion in his head; Morgana. He slowly turned in the direction of first Ethan, and then back to the Fallen Angel. "...Apologies. Am I interrupting something?" He said sheepishly, slightly embarrassed for walking in like this.
Morgana's eyes narrowed, her arms fold across her chest as she glares at the summoner, "So what you're saying is, you need more time?" She watches him closely, "I have been waiting a very long time Summoner. But... With the current state of this world, it does not look like time is something you have."
She seemed to relax slightly at the mention of The Artificers, only to shake her head a few moments later, "My magic is something that I do not intend to allow the summoners to study... There will have to be another way."
She opened her mouth to say something else, only to be interrupted by Lee Sin walking in, Morgana gave him an annoyed glance, "Yes." She states rather harshly, "You were."

The Steward stops abruptly as Lee Sin enters, his focus shifting from Morgana to him, careful not to speak another word. He doesn't know if the man has overheard anything, the matters that had just been discussed had been particularly confidential, sensitive as well.
His expression shifts from one of deep thought to one of a more personable nature, speaking up to break the tension, "Is there something I can help you with, Lee? I am in the midst of a meeting with Morgana at the moment, can this be kept brief? If it is urgent, I suppose I can handle it now." His tone is passive, soothing, calm, matching his demeanor as his eyes flicker to the Fallen Angel for a moment, hoping that she catches the momentary expression of apology.

Lee Sin bowed his head in regret, "I apologize; Steward, Morgana."
He took a step within the room, treading carefully as to not overstep his boundaries.
"I will keep my explanation brief then. As of late, I have been occupied and detached from the Institute for quite some time now on personal matters, and I actually just arrived back yesterday. It appears a great deal has happened, and I have been told to seek you out if you require any help on any of these matters."
A slight turn of his face and he acknowledged Morgana, a small sheepish grin growing to show his remorse for his rudeness, "But if you are currently busy, then I'll just step out for now."
Morgana continued glaring at Lee Sin as he grinned, "It would be wise." Her voice clearly showing her annoyance at being interrupted. She turned her back on him as if to dismiss him entirely, Morgana looked back to Ethan, "I was promised power to bring down the tyrants of my world. The only reason I have not killed my sister is because you forbade me from doing so. If you continue to show such weakness... I will look elsewhere. And your protection of my sister won't stop mean a thing to me."
