February 20, 11 CLE
Far of the most populated area of Bandle there is a small hill with a leafy tree that is not well known among the yordles, maybe because the most of the yordles prefer to be in company of others instead of the tranquility of that place. However, they don't know the impressive sight that they are loosing... "The sky shines and the majesty of the Sablestone Mountains on the horizon makes me wonder about the wonderful things beyond the City..."
A black yordle wearing a blue hat runs happily towards that place with a new book on his hand and a small pack on his back. The tree in that hill is his favorite spot to read, a secret place where he can read without interruptions. He wasn't expecting something out of the common.

Not even ten minutes earlier, a young, cream-furred yordle had made his way to the top of this solitary hill to sit and sulk under the solitary tree. His father had recently informed this thirteen-year-old that he would be transferred into military school upon his fifteenth birthday, which is something the yordle simply couldn't bear to understand. He had no mother to go to, for she had died at childbirth, and it would be nearly impossible to persuade his father, a captain of the guard, that the military route is not the right choice for him. So, in an attempt to escape his home and find peace in solitude, the young yordle had made his way out of the city to this very hill.
Teemo seats himself under the tree and pulls up his knees, letting out a hopeless sigh. Only two more years would he be free to escape like this... free to explore... free to discover. Then the rest of his life he will be stuck in some military encampment, trying to live up to his father's name. The military life had never been one for him. All he'd ever wanted to do was travel the world, a dream that once belonged to his mother. Oh, how he wishes she were here now.

When the black yordle was about to arrive to his "secret place", he noticed a silhouette sitting on the spot where he usually reads. It was the first time that the yordle saw someone there, and the kid felt curiosity about the person who was there. Throwing himself to the ground in silence, the yordle tried to get closer without making noise while crawling on the grass.
Even if he tried to pass unnoticed, his blue hat was very visible in contrast of the green grass, however, the other person didn't seemed to notice the presence of the tiny yordle.
For his surprise, the person was a yordle, just like him. An small expression of disappointment crossed the face of the black yordle, he would preferred to see a human from another place of Valoran. However, his disappointment was quickly replaced with concern after noticing the sadness of the lone yordle... Everyone at Bandle knows that loneliness is bad for them.
He decided to do something and without thinking twice the black yordle stood up out of his "hiding place" and said.
"Why have you got such a long face?"
His voice sounded nice and friendly ((Unlike the voice that Veigar has)). The black yordle didn't wanted to annoy, but he couldn't leave the yordle alone in that place...

Teemo never notices the other yordle approaching. When the other speaks, he immediately looks up in surprise, then back at where the voice came from. It's obvious from the look on his face that he is upset.
"Oh... heya. It's no big deal, just family stuff..."
He leaves it at that, turning to face forward again and burying his chin and mouth in his forearms.

The black yordle looks at the other guy, he likes to analize the people around him, that it is almost like reading a book. He frowns after seeing the attitude the other yordle, it was obvious that those "family stuff" were bothering the other yordle.
"Come on, Raise your head, because you are not going to see anything good if you keep burying your chin like that... By the way, My name is Veigar, and yours?"
Veigar extended his hand towards the other yordle in order to salute him.

Teemo doesn't turn his head, but simply moves his eyes to see the hand extended to him. He doesn't return the gesture.
"My name is Teemo. Not that it matters..."
He looks back at the ground, not wanting to converse any longer. It wouldn't even matter if he had social interaction anymore. In two years, none of it would matter until the day he died. Or at least, that's the way he sees it.

Without moving his hand, the tiny yordle says without loosing his friendly tone of voice... Maybe he was "being annoying", but it seems to be a trait of his race.
"Well, everything that happens around this tree matters me... So, What is your problem?"
It was going to be a book hard to read, but the black yordle always finishes a book after starting... and he had no intentions of leaving Teemo there. Maybe the other kid was from Bandle, but, he was also the first yordle that Veigar has seen "outside" of the city... even if wasn't that far from the Bandle.

The teen yordle turns his head this time, staring depressingly in Veigar's direction. His tone is one of dejection and neglect, and he somewhat throws anger towards the other yordle.
"Father is sending me to military school in less than two years. Happy?"
Though he's apparently very angry, tears can be seen in the corners of his eyes. Teemo just can't imagine his life in the military. The only thing he knows is that it will be horrifying.

Veigar looked at the yordle who was crying in front of him, unlike Teemo, the black yordle was happy. He sat there, in front of the tree and the other yordle.
"Really?... THAT IS AWESOME! Have you ever heard about the "Scouts of the Mothership" or the "Screaming Yipsnakes"?!"
The yordle began to search something on his back pack, after a few seconds he pulled a tiny book out. It was strange for Veigar to have books from the city, but the books about the intelligence team and the aerial squadron of Bandle were an exeption.
"The Scouts are always exploring places that are far away from the city, like the Jungles! or the Vodoo lands!... And the Aerial Squadron... THEY FLY AROUND THE WHOLE WORLD!"
Veigar would dreamed with join to the Aerial Squadron or the Scouts just to see the world, but due his physical conditions he knew that it was going to be nearly impossible... However, traveling around the world as merchant was not bad either.

Teemo suddenly turns to Veigar, shocked and enraged at what the other yordle is saying. He immediately gets into the shorter yordle's face and raises his volume.
"AWESOME?! Try living with a captain of the guard for a father your whole life, forced to nothing but routines and proper etiquette every second of every day! Being locked up in the city for the rest of my life because Father wants me to be JUST LIKE HIM, AND I'M NOT!!"
His eye is slightly twitching and tears are rolling down his cheeks, every breath choking back sobs.
"I never even got to know Mo-... m-my... my mom."
At this Teemo chokes up and clenches his fists, turning his body away. Every so often sniffles slip out, and his shoulders are trembling.

The tiny yordle listened carefully the words of Teemo, the cream colored yordle was very frustrated and Veigar hated to see other yordles crying. He wanted to help the other yordle, even if he had no many ideas of what to do. Quickly after Teemo turned his body, Veigar put his hand on the shoulder of the yordle who was trembling.
"Teemo... i may not know what kind of father you have, but i am sure that he wants the best for you... even if he doesnt knows what is "the best for you"... after all, the children don't come to this world with a manual of instructions... Just give him time, nothing is forever"
The black yordle scratched his ear awkwardly with his other hand ((Unlike the hat that "the tiny master of evil" has, this hat does not cover his ears)). Those words were just a mere mix between things that he has read and what his own parents say sometimes, but hopefully, those words were going to calm the other yordle...

Giving a loud sniffle, the bigger yordle wipes his eyes and mutters. "He doesn't want the best for me... he just wants me to be just like him, so that he looks better as a father. But he's just another stupid soldier. He doesn't know how to be a real dad."
There is still a tone of anger to his voice, though the volume has dropped significantly. Teemo stops wiping his eyes and drops his trembling fists again, letting the tears run free bitterly.

Veigar smiled slightly when the other yordle decreased his tone of voice.
"You are right, your father is a soldier, he likes his job and is proud of it... he wants you to feel in the same way, after all, that is the only way of living that he knows...."
Veigar gave a pat on the back of Teemo, he was trying to figure what kind of father the other yordle has... for some reason, he remembered Demacia and the strict laws from that city.
"Breed a son must be really hard without help... Its obvious that your father will take care of you in the same way that he has lived... With time he will realize that you are different"

/me turns to Veigar again, slowly this time. Despair had crept its way onto the young yordle's face, as well as fear. "B-but what if I don't have time... Veigar? I'll be gone in less than two years..."
He blubbers a little and sniffles, rubbing his eyes again. "He'd probably disown me if he saw me like this..."
Post by Tiny Master of Evil on Aug 24, 2013 23:57:59 GMT -5
Veigar looked at the eyes of Teemo, the yellow eyes of the yordle seemed to sparkle of emotion... even if it was just a optical effect generated by the light.
"Then you should enjoy the time that you have like you have never done before!"
Taking into account what the taller yordle has said, Teemo didn't liked to be "locked up in the city" and Veigar really enjoys to explore the forest that are beyond Bandle... Maybe they could reach places that are inaccessible without help, after all two heads are better than one... the black yordle was really optimistic about that.
