The Major Arcana are a set of 22 cards in the Tarot deck. Unlike the four suits of the Minor Arcana (which are different), the Major Arcana consists of symbolic representations that is used in games and divination.
So what is this thread got to do with it? Well it's more of a discovery challenge of sorts to find out which go with which arcana. So...
The Champion's Major Arcana! Which League champion (including upcoming) belongs to a certain arcana? What's the reason? An example of my Champion's Arcana is below.
0 Fool - Fizz
I Magician - Xerath
II High Priestess - Janna
III Empress - Nidalee
IV Emperor - Jarvan IV
V Heirophant - Heimerdinger
VI Lovers - Ahri
VII Chariot - Garen
VIII Strength - Sona
IX Hermit - Rumble
X Wheel of Fortune - Twisted Fate
XI Justice - Poppy
XII Hanged Man - Zac
XIII Death - Karthus
XIV Temperance - Soraka
XV Devil - Draven
XVI Tower - Hecarim
XVII Star - Tristana
XVIII Moon - Nocturne
XIX Sun - Leona
XX Judgement - Karma
XXI World - Anivia
Obviously some don't have perfect matches but oh well. It's an example. But anyways, this thread is for anyone to make their list of arcana to see which champ belongs to which tarot card. Post your list of arcana below! Good luck!
If this is too easy for you, try out the Original Character's Major Arcana! Lore figures count too so... which OC righteously belong to which arcana? Does Victus belong in Temperance? The Ruined King to Death? Or maybe Tybresa to the Sun? You decide! ^^
And here's a fun thing I want for you guys to do (if you want to). The Skype Arcana! Put the skype usernames to a certain arcana of your own judgement and make a list out of it!
Or if you want to make a custum list, you can! For example, a Noxus Arcana with only Noxian characters or a Yordle Arcana for that too!
NOTE (some from Wikipedia):
Strength is traditionally the eleventh card and Justice the eighth, but the influential Rider-Waite-Smith deck switched the position of these two cards in order to make them a better fit with the astrological correspondences worked out by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, under which the eighth card is associated with Leo and the eleventh with Libra. Today many decks use this numbering, particularly in the English-speaking world. Both placements are considered valid.
The Fool can have the number zero, twenty-two, or no number at all.
