-May 5th 5 CLE-
Kaladoun was a small grouping of fishing villages, all near the mouth of the Serpentine River. The locals had paid Warwick no mind as he entered. He was just another traveller, stopping by to rest and eat. Most were already inside their homes as a rain storm had started to blow in.
The trip had been a long one. He had spent almost two months just travelling alone, passing through the Ironspike Mountains, through the Howling Marsh and finally crossing the river itself. The road had been a long one, but the end would be worth it.
She would be meeting him here. Evelyn, the Widowmaker would take him to the Shadow Isles to find the second ingredient he would need for his elixir.
He didn't know when she would come, she hadn't specified any kind of time. So it was time to play the waiting game.
But he wasn't going to do it out in the rain. He found a local inn to stay in. After a nice hot meal, he settled into his room, waiting for the deadly beauty to arrive.

Only one day had passed since Warwick had entered the fishing villages, word spread of the Man Hunter reaching the ears of those who had been ordered to keep an eye out for him. Whispers spread to the right places and now, in the middle of night...
Molten gold eyes melted into existence within the darkness of the room, a soft click of her heels resounded with an unnatural echo. A soft hum soon floating through the air as the rest of her body soon formed, looking to almost simply fade into being, soft blue skin strapped with pink leather, long pointed heels and a smile of almost amusement that clearly showed her fangs. Evelynn stopped next to the bed where Warwick slept, "Ooooh little hunter~" She called in a singsong voice.

Warwick bolted upright from his bed, his knife in hand, pointing at whatever had awoken him. Evelynn stood next to him, a smug smile on her face.
Warwick internally cursed to himself. He hadn't heard her approach him and she had caught him completely off guard. She could of killed him at any time and he wouldn't of even noticed. Now he understood how she earned her reputation, if she could sneak up in him so easily.
He lowered his blade, resting it against the bed. "Is it time then?" he asked her.

Evelynn chuckles at the startled man's response to her waking him, she purrs and looks down on him with a gaze that bordered on condescending, the smug smile of hers not helping the look in the slightest, "I've have [/i]much more inviting greetings you know." the smug grin turns rather sultry as she pouts at him, feigning hurt at having the weapon raised against her. She crawled onto the bed, kneeling on the side of the bed and placing a hand gently upon the hunter's chest, "Well, we could go now if you wanted." her unnatural chuckle sounded once more, laced with sadistic intent.

Evelynn's sudden flirtation and playfulness confused Warwick. Her hand felt like ice on his bare chest, goosebumps forming on his arms as she touched him. Was she really thinking about that right now?
He dismissed the idea from his mind. This was just another one of her cruel ploys. For all he knew she was planning to kill him and what better way then when he as most vulnerable, in the throes of passion?
He matched her own sick grin with his own, not letting his lack of trust show to her. He grabbed her wrist, his own large hand dwarfing it, but still just as cold.
"Leaving was the reason we came here. Perhaps we could have this discussion after we find what we want."
Let her think he was some lust-filled idiot that she had wrapped around her finger. He was no prey. And if she thought he was an easy mark, she had another thing coming her way.

Evelynn smirked at his response, the hand upon Warwick's chest would suddenly feel as though it were made of sharp needles, Warwick's nerves upon his chest would suddenly erupt with pain, "If you say so, little hunter~" she said with a sing-song tone. As fast as the pain flared, it vanished her wrist seemed to almost melt from his grasp. Already, she was half way across the floor toward the door, her hips swaying with every step. She paused and looked over her shoulder with a slight smirk, "Coming?"

Warwick suppressed a yell of pain as Evelynn magic worked on him. Only a second, but a second of pain always lasts longer than that.
As he regained his wits, she was already across the room again, her playfulness still present, which clashed with his now foul mood. He raised himself from the bed and dressed quickly, donning his clothes and cloak.
He was bringing few things with him. A small bag to hold the silver, his metal talon and a hunting knife or self-defense and some provisions should the trip last longer than anticipated.
"How long will it take to get there?" he asked as he followed her to the door.

Evelynn chuckled, the sadistic laughter echoed around the room as the contrast seemed to grow darker than what it already was in the night. The Widowmaker glanced over her shoulder, morbid amusement in the molten golden eyes as they glinted showed clearly, her silken voice sung through the air as she grinned showing the sharp fangs in her mouth, "However long I want it to take, little hunter." she purred and slowly held out a soft, delicate, blue skinned hand. Her long nails looked to be near razor sharp and painted a light pink, "I'm going to take you on the ride of your life."

He looked at her hand in distrust and annoyance. He half expected her to pull her little pain trick on him again. But if he wanted to get this silver he would have to play her game. And he sure as hell wasn't going to give up on that silver.
He grabbed her hand with his, his massive hand covering her lithe one almost completely. Her skin was still cold as ice. It sent shivers through him.
"Then let us go. Now" he told her. He knew that whatever excited her was only bad news for him. All he could do is waited for the pain to start.

At first when Evelynn began to walk, it would have seemed as though she were simply going to walk into the wall opposite the door. Then the blistering pain would envelop Warwick's whole being. His flesh would feel as though someone had just ignited it, through the pain he would see the dim colors melt away, the surrounding area melt into shadows. The walls and ceiling vanishing as inky black darkness smothered absolutely everything, the floor looked to simply fade from existence, replaced by the shadows that now swallowed them. The only thing he was capable of seeing was the Widowmaker, who was now dragging him further and further toward a destination unknown to the man hunter. His senses would quickly become disorientated, he heard nothing, he saw only Evelynn and felt only agony.
She ran onward, hauling him forward with strength one would not expect from such a slender figure, she was rushing and laughing wildly, her molten gold eyes alight with excitement. She could feel his pain, this realm was not for the likes of him and it was as though it were trying to reject him. Images swam in the darkness, images that Warwick's mind would be unable to comprehend, simply glimpsing them would send a sharp spike of pain crashing through his skull, "Eyes on me little hunter~" She called with a sing-song tone, "Welcome to shadow walking!"
Her near maniacal laughter sounded once more as she ran, keeping her grip on his hand firm making sure not to let go. For if she did, it would be a fate worse than death. It was as though this whole place was made from shadows and pain. Each step would send needles of pain though Warwick's leg and each breath felt like swallowing fire.

As he entered the shadows, Warwick burned.
He felt his entire body burn in pain. His lungs screamed for air, as whatever he seemed to be breathing only worsened the pain. His skin felt like it was melting off, setting his nerves aflame, unyielding torment of a constant burn.
He dared to open his eyes to see what was happing. He only saw black. Not dark shadows, not the the darkness of night. Just pure black. Only the Widowmaker was visible, the image of her against the blackness burned like his body did.
He dared not look to long. His eyes felt like they would be pushed out of his skull if he looked to long at the blackness. Even his memories burned, of the brutal beatings the people of Zaun resurfaced and added to his torment.
And yet he willed himself on. The thing in his mind, that predatory presence that had been with him since childhood, that primal instinct to always fight and never surrender kept him going
His entire being burned in pain, but he continued on, half walking, half being dragged by Evelynn. And all he could think of was wanting to inflict it on others.

Evelynn continued to laugh near hysterically as she hauled Warwick through the darkness, she turned to glance at him, relishing in the agony that tormented Warwick's being. Simply by holding his hand she could siphon the pain that was lighting up his senses, and she was taking full advantage of it. Red mist seeped from warwick's body, coiling dowin his arm and enveloping her their hands.
Without warning, a sudden burst of fresh raw agonizing pain would crash through the Man Hunter's body, knocking Warwick unconscious, the last thing his eyes would register would be the shadows peeling back around Evelynn to reveal a cold dark landscape, glimpses of ghostly trees and a dark grey sky.
