Brand had always been a quiet operator. Through the destruction of countless worlds he had simply done what had to be done. He had never relished the task at hand, instead merely accepting the death of all life on that planet as an unfortunate side affect of the true task at hand; halting the Void's advance.
But this world... Runeterra... It was different. Brand loathed Runeterra with every ember of his being, his imprisonment in it's wretched grasp had been a source of strife since before most of it's inhabitants could even remember; and Brand ached for it's destruction to his very core.
And yet there he was, following one of it's inhabitants through a busy marketplace like some sort of hound. At least the rest of the populace avoided his gaze as if it burned them, as it likely did. A young man actually dived for cover at his approach, cowering behind several boxes filled with various fish. If the Brand's current body could smile, his grin would be a mile wide.
Mortal one...
The elemental's voice hissed throughout the market like some titanic snake had invaded the area.
Your quest for sustenance has brought us far enough. I do not wish to deal with the common rabble.
