13th of August, 23 CLE
Another day was turning into evening within the Golden City of Demacia. The sun was setting, giving the city a beautiful bronze glow. The Bandle City Embassy, bathed in the receding rays of the sun, was still as busy as usual. Officials walking through the lantern lit hallways, politicians heading in and out from the various offices in the building.
Yet... one office seemed surprisingly more quiet than usual. The office of Ambassador Poppy. She had managed to deal with all of her work of the day a bit before normal, and was enjoying the silence in the dimly lit room. Leaning back against her chair, wearing rather common looking clothing instead of her usual armor, she lets out a sigh of relief. Her work days were long, and being able to finish before normal was like a small vacation in itself.
While Poppy looks out of the window behind her desk over the city basking in the waning rays of light, a rather energetic female yordle guard enters the room, carrying a tray. Ornate porcelain cups and a pot cover the top of the tray as the guard walks over to the desk, placing it in the middle of the table.
Here's the coffee you asked for Ambassador.
Thank you Malie. It is quite considerate of you to bring me coffee when I ask, considering it is not one of your duties and you have every right to say no.
Chuckling, the guard walks over to a chair nearby, slipping on the edge of the carpet and falling on her face rather comically. After lying there for a moment, she gets up and sits down in the chair, holding a hand against her head.
Well that was a bit off...
Anyhow, I am happy to help Ambassador. Gives me a special reason to come and visit a respected figure of our kind, doesn't it?
I suppose it does Malie...
Poppy slowly spins the chair around, grabbing one of the porcelain cups and pouring coffee from the pot to it, taking a sip from it. She then leans back against the chair and looks over to Malie.
It is always nice to get a bit of a break from work, but knowing my luck, there will soon be an important, unannounced visitor who absolutely needs to see me...
Malie giggles and takes a cup for herself, pouring some of the coffee for herself as well.
Yup, it ain't an easy life, being an Ambassador. But hey, at least you meet a lot of different kinds of people right?
I suppose so Malie...
Poppy slowly turns the chair around again, looking out of the window and taking slow sips from her cup. She had the feeling this peace and quiet wouldn't last for long...
A tall helmed human clad in a bearskin cloak approaches Bandle's embassy, looking behind themself every few seconds, appearing to check as to whether they are being followed. Two similarly clad figures appear to be following the first from up the street, maintaining a distance of roughly ten metres. The human raps on the embassy's door sharply and roughly, while the two followers break off into an alley. None of the three appear to say anything.

A moment later, the door opens with a determined looking yordle guard looking up at the human. He has a spear in his free hand and a very distinct Bandle City uniform on.
Hello. Can I help you? Do you have business with the Embassy?
The guard takes a quick sweep of the area with his eyes, not seeming trusty of the obviously non-Demacian human.
The human stares at the guard for a few seconds, as if trying to think about how hard it would be to get past him if necessary. They then pull down the muffler obscuring the lower half of their face to speak in a gruff, feminine voice.
"Looking for the ambassador. She here?"
As if expecting "no" for an answer, the woman places her left hand over the hilt of the sword at her hip.

The guard looks at the woman for a moment before opening the door wider so she can enter.
Yes, she is present, but I don't know if she is taking visitors at the moment. And even if she is, you will have to leave all of your weapons outside of her office. Despite her capabilities as a warrior, Bandle City will take no chances with possible threats or assassins.
He then starts walking towards Poppy's office, further inside the Embassy, not visible from the lobby where Fraya would be at.
Fraya appears to roll her eyes from beneath her helmet, but proceeds to undo her sword belt, throwing it on the floor, then undoes a clasp on a large wooden shaft slung by a leather strap across her chest. A long, double-bladed battleaxe drops to the floor behind her as she proceeds to walk in the same direction that the guard took.

Seeing the armored human follow him, the yordle guard slips into Poppy's office and closes the door behind himself, looking over to the Ambassador in the dimly lit office.
Ma'am Ambassador, there is a visitor for you it seems. Highly armored, was carrying weaponry. Do you wish to allow them to enter?
I said the peace wouldn't last long, didn't I Malie?
You sure did Ambassador.
The guard looks over to the other guard, Malie, who is sitting near the Ambassador's desk curiously.
Why aren't you at your post Malie?
The Ambassador asked me to bring her some coffee and didn't mind me keeping her company.
Right... you should at least re-assign someone to your post if this happens in the future, understood?
Yes sir.
The guard then turns back to Poppy.
What is your decision Ambassador?
Poppy takes another sip from her coffee and glances over to Whomper, which was leaning against the table hidden from view.
Send them in. I doubt anyone to be foolish enough to attack a well known League Champion in the middle of Demacia.
As you wish Ambassador.
The guard steps outside the office again, looking to the woman who had followed him towards the office.
The Ambassador has agreed to see you. But again, do not attempt anything foolish. You will be handed to Demacian law if you do anything such. Understood?
Fraya snorts in a vague affirmative, but says nothing to the guard, simply striding past him. Upon entering the ambassador's office, she turns immediately to Poppy.
"Ambassador."
Fraya bows slightly in what appears to be a sign of respect.

Poppy looks at the human that entered. Furs, metal armor, antlers. Seemed somewhat similar to what she had seen Sejuani wear on the Fields of Justice a few times. Freljordian no doubt.
What brings you to my office all the way from Freljord ma'am? I usually only get Demacian officials and some visitors from Bandle City, not warriors of the glacier.
She takes another calm sip from her cup of coffee, holding her feet next to Whomper, which seems to cause the hammer to emanate a slight glow, visible in the dark room despite being behind the table.

The guards look at the woman with a rather suspicious look, but at Poppy's sign, they silently walk outside the office and stand there at watch. Poppy turns to her visitor and takes one last sip from her coffee before placing the cup down.
I feel like you need to work a bit on your manners, no matter how rough of a place you may come from. Telling that those whose job is to protect me need to leave, can be taken as a sign that you wish to have me as vulnerable as possible, which could lead to you being suspected as a possible assassin.¨
She slides Whomper a bit closer to herself with her legs before continuing.
I ask you again. What brings you all the way to the Bandle City Embassy in Demacia when you seem to be freljordian based on your armaments?
Fraya turns her head from side to side, as if to check for signs of tapping. She then crosses her arms on her chest.
"If you're all I've heard you are, you shouldn't need those whelps. That matters not, however. I'm from a village far, far in the northern Freljord. We're officially sworn to Sejauni, but..."
Fraya trails off for a moment, as if collecting her thoughts.
"After the attack from those...what are they called, Void creatures? Whatever. After they attacked in Freljord, our matriarch, my mother, doesn't think we can rely on Sejauni if suddenly our village became the front against another attack. Now, we can handle Avarosan dogs fine enough, but those monsters, they can kill like nothing else can. We don't have the manpower to fight them alone, and our weapons are mostly what we can make by hand, scavenge, or take. I was sent here to find us a city state who can at least supply us with weapons and supplies to defend ourselves from the Void monsters if they come again. That, ambassador, is why I am here."

Ah yes... the Void. I have heard of the invasion in particular, but I am not certain of how we could assist you. At the current time, Demacia is still somewhat recovering from it's defense against the undead of the Shadow Isles, and Bandle City is militarily the weakest citystate on Valoran.
Poppy lifts Whomper up to her shoulder, the hammer glowing a bit brighter now.
Then again, the specialty of the Yordle kind is tactical. Special forces, recon, technology. That has never seemed the way of the Winter's Claw however. Supplies we can give, but the weaponry we utilize is not necessarily suited to the environment, and would require extensive training for everyone who would be using them. So I have to ask again...
How could Bandle City assist you and your people?
Also, considering that you are within a city that is very... Avarosan-minded, it might be better for you health if you keep your opinions about them to yourself.
"You do not understand. My people are not Winter's Claw, we have never been Winter's Claw. We've sworn our swords to Sejuani, but we rule ourselves. We may have similar values, but we can see when we need help. We can't ask Sejuani for more troops because she might see us as being weak, and might try to destroy us, so we have to try different options. Piltover and Demacia are too self-righteous, and Noxus and Zaun are too unpredictable. Bandle is the only city state that my mother believes may support us."
Fraya pauses for a moment, so as to allow what she said to sink in.
"Do you see why none of what I've said may leave this room?"

I see... however, my position does not exactly allow me to make promises without consulting the leadership back in Bandle City, so to be certain of whether the aid will be delivered, you will have to visit Bandle City. It is a few weeks of travel.
If you wish, I can come along to present your case... I wouldn't mind getting back home again, especially in these times.
Poppy places Whomper across her lap, looking at the hammer for a moment before turning back to her visitor.
But remember, the weaponry that Bandle City can offer is most likely rather technological, so an instructor or detailed instructions will be required if you wish aid in weaponry.
