Name: Lissandra
Alias: The Ice Witch/ The Ice Dervish (disguise)
Class: Mage
Race: Iceborn/ Human
Age: Centuries old, dating back to the time of the Three Sisters
Occupation: Trying to raise the Watchers and reclaim the world in ice/ Princess of the Frostguard tribe
Residence: The Ice Witch’s cave/ The Frostguard citadel
Alignment: Lawful Evil/ Lawful Good
Abilities:
Cryomancy: Lissandra naturally possesses the ability to create and shape ice into any form she desires. Her knowledge of ice magic prior to her transformation into an Iceborn as well as the powers she gained allow her to effortlessly summon and manipulate frost, snow and ice. Her mastery over ice magic is unparalleled by many modern-day cryomancers, with her abilities ranging from raising powerful black ice revenants to enveloping entire areas in a dark blizzard.
Corruption: The powers of the Frozen Watchers is one that is dark and alien, as compared to the purity of the ice of Freljord. Lissandra is a corruptor of nature that bears their powers, as she is able to twist ice magic into something dark and terrible in nature, forming black ice that is able to exceed the power of true ice in that it is able to eat away at the life force of those who are exposed to it.
Shapeshifting: The Ice Witch is able to assume a human form, as she had did in the past by disguising herself as figures like seers and historians. The most prominent examples of her human disguises are the lineage of Ice Dervishes, each one being murdered upon succession and their form taken over by the Witch. The current Princess Lissandra is her most commonly-used disguise, as she assumes her form to rule over the Frostguard tribe and communicate with the public domain as their leader.
Passive: Iceborn
Lissandra’s Iceborn form is a living embodiment of the frozen energies of the Freljord. By sapping heat around her, the environment around her freezes, which allows her to manipulate the ice formed around her without needing to spend a significant amount of mana. By damaging her foes with her spells, she is able to use some of the mana from the spell that flows out as it is cast as well as part of her foe’s lifeforce that she chipped away to power her other spells.
Ice Shard
Lissandra throws a sharp spear of black ice at her foes, slowing the first foe hit. The spear shatters as it hits its target to form smaller shards that can damage foes who are hit by the shards. Outside of the fields, Lissandra can conjure multiple shards at a smaller size to launch a hailstorm at her enemies.
Ring of Frost
Lissandra releases a pulse of freezing magic and saturates the ground with frozen energy, causing enemies to be rooted to the ground as pillars of black ice form around them, ensnaring them.
Glacial Path
Lissandra summons a claw of ice that moves in a forward line that can tear away at her foes. As the claw serves as an extension of her own body, she is able to teleport to the claw’s location at will. The claw is able to grip and pin down a single target if they are caught.
Frozen Tomb
Lissandra concentrates her frozen magic upon a single target and encases her victim within a thick casing of black ice. A significant area around the tomb freezes as the frozen magic spreads out, slowing and damaging foes around that area. She can also choose to have dark ice rise around her and meld her form with it to form an impenetrable protective shell of black ice to protect her from any harm momentarily. A field of black ice also spreads out if she chooses to use this alternate version of the spell.
As Princess Lissandra:
Cryomancy: In her disguise as the Ice Dervish, Lissandra is able to manipulate ice and snow, though to a lesser extent than in her true form. She is able to summon snowfalls, icy winds as well as create and shape pure ice, though she mainly chooses to manifest ice in the form of her trademark swords and blades.
Swordsmanship: The Ice Dervishes are masters at wielding various forms of ice blades, their style being one that is unique amongst Freljord and Valoran as being the manipulation and control of ice blades that are conjured through magic in a graceful, dance-like manner.
Having been trained by the former Ice Dervish, Princess Mauvole, Lissandra is able to conjure ice swords as well as have blades temporarily extend out of her body, suited for fast, multiple strikes upon an enemy. Her agility and her grace is renowned, but her delicate form discourages her from recklessly engaging into battle.
Background:
Lissandra's magic twists the pure power of ice into something dark and terrible. With the force of her black ice, she does more than freeze – she impales and crushes those who oppose her. To the terrified denizens of the north, she is known only as "The Ice Witch". The truth is much more sinister: Lissandra is a corrupter of nature who plots to unleash an ice age on the world.
Centuries ago, Lissandra betrayed her tribe to evil creatures, known as the Frozen Watchers, in return for power. That was the last day that warm blood ran through her veins. With her corrupted tribesmen and the strength of the Watchers, she swept across the land like a terrible blizzard. As her empire spread, the world grew colder and ice choked the land. When the Watchers were defeated by ancient heroes, Lissandra did not lose faith and swore to prepare the world for their return.
Lissandra worked to purge all knowledge of the Watchers from the world. Using magic to take human form, she masqueraded as numerous seers and elders. Over the course of generations, she rewrote the stories of the Freljord, and so the history of its people changed. Today the fragmented retellings of the Watchers are seen as children's tales. But this deception wasn't enough – Lissandra also needed an army.
She set her sights on the noble Frostguard tribe. Lissandra knew corrupting the Frostguard would take centuries, and so she launched her greatest deception. She murdered and stole the identity of the Frostguard leader. Then she slowly began to warp the tribe's proud traditions. When her human form grew old, she faked her own death and then murdered her successor to steal her identity. With each generation, the Frostguard grew more insular, cruel and twisted. Today, the world still sees them as a noble and peaceful tribe that guards against evil creatures like the Ice Witch. In truth, they now serve the witch and long for the glorious return of the Watchers.
Lissandra knows that on that day nations will fall and the world will be reborn in ice.
Character Relationships:
Aatrox- A senseless revenant of war that only sees value in indulging in his hedonistic desire for war. However, he is a potential threat should he stand against her during times of war, as he possesses the ability to turn the tides of battle, so in the event that he should stand against the Frozen Watchers, he must perish.
Anivia- One of her greatest enemies, for her duty is to protect the Freljord from those of a corrupted nature such as herself. Lissandra knows she may not be able to win her in combat, so she must break her spirit. If Anivia is convinced that she has failed at her duty, she will fall or be tainted by the black ice.
Ashe- She is idealistic and ignorant despite her apparent maturity. She does not recognize the real threat of the Ice Witch even though she is one of the most vulnerable when she strikes, as she is one of those who have fallen prey to Lissandra's disguise as the Ice Dervish. Although she is a far cry from what Avarosa once was, she has immense potential and will become powerful if she is allowed to rise. Ashe will be a valuable ally is she submits and her power will grow to further heights if she too obtains the Watchers' powers, but if she remains adamant in her opposition against the Ice Witch, she must be cut down as soon as possible before the Avarosans grow stronger.
Sejuani- A brutish and battle-hungry girl that craves nothing but battle in an attempt to claim the crown of Freljord as an act of bravado. Sejuani's rule will only serve to be self-destructive for Freljord, as her hot-headedness is hardly queen-like. Her strength is her greatest asset and just like Ashe, she will become a powerful piece if she submits to Lissandra, far more powerful than she is currently. Similarly, any further defiance on her part will only result in Lissandra needing to put her down like the animal she is.
Udyr- The child chosen by the spirits that she has failed to kill once. He, like Anivia, is a guardian of the Freljord and another considerable threat to Lissandra. If Lissandra leaves him unchecked, he might grow to be able to stand against her. His death is necessary for the decline of the spirits and to ensure that the corruption of the Freljord goes smoothly.
Tryndamere- Similar to Sejuani in that he shares the same battle-hungry nature as her, and that he can be used as a killing machine if Lissandra has him under her control. She knows of how greatly he treasures his queen, which makes him useful if Lissandra is to gain control over Ashe. Similarly, he too can be manipulated if Ashe is threatened.
Quinn- The emissary of Demacia that has had a glimpse of Frostguard city, Princess Lissandra as well as the Ice Witch in her true form. Her sudden disappearance from Frostguard city was seen as suspicious, as Lissandra suspects that she might have gotten an insight of the truth of the Frostguard tribe. She must be eliminated or at least silenced if she attempts to arouse any suspicion from the Avarosans, Winter’s Claw or even Demacia towards the Frostguard.
LeBlanc- Much like herself, she too is a sorceress who has managed to somewhat transcend the limits of time by preserving herself through manipulation and trickery. Although she hails from Noxus, which is far from the reaches of the Freljord, she would most likely cross paths with Lissandra if Noxus decides to investigate the Freljord or if Lissandra is able to conquer Freljord and decides to expand her empire once again. In the event in which she does so, she would be an incredibly formidable opponent in terms of wits. While Lissandra possesses ancient magic that might overpower LeBlanc’s own, direct confrontation would not be the most efficient method to defeat her. To outlast LeBlanc, Lissandra must outsmart her.

Observation
Cold, desolate and empty. Such was the realm where the Ice Witch Lissandra resides. Such were the hallways leading to the halls as she gracefully glided down the corridors, leaving thick layers of frost on the walls and windows. Her frozen gown as rigid as the rest of her icy form, gleaming with blackish-blue frozen magic along with her triangular headpiece. Not a soul was nearby to bear witness to her inhuman grace and elegance as the black ice paved her way, rising and ebbing as the Witch brought it to life. Occasionally, she would turn her gaze towards the lavishly-decorated hall, unimpressed by what the supposed pinnacle of modern Valoran had to offer as compared to what she had seen in Freljord.
She approaches the large double-doors to the hall, which was somewhat larger than her own tall stature and bends downwards slightly, silently reading the inscription on the ornate wooden doors. "The truest opponent lies within".
She smirks slightly in a condescending manner, questioning the inherent value of the phrase, before reverting back to her default emotionless expression.
"Let us see who is my real opponent here..." she mutters inaudibly to herself, her voice resonating slightly, as if the cold icy caves of the Freljord spoke in unison with her , the double doors parting as she barely touched them with a frigid hand. The icicles around her feet gathered and followed the Witch as she strolled into the darkness of the chambers.
Reflection
The chamber was neither warm nor cold initially, the absence of her later earning slight displeasure from her end. As she continued forward, she felt the chamber feeling more alien, or so it seemed. The cold energies that ran within her frozen form that gave her life was slowly being replaced by a sensation that seemed almost entirely foreign to her. Warmth. She felt her paces become gradual and steady, as she felt herself walking with human feet once more. The chill of the Freljord gradually took form and returned to her surroundings, though instead of being contained within herself, it was dispersed around the chamber. The frigid darkness that manifested around became familiar, reminding her of a time when she was vulnerable, hopeful. The time when she had to depend on thick coats and furs to protect her frail, warm-blooded body.
The woman known as Lissandra kneeled before dark, alien creatures of varying shapes and sizes. The aura that they exuded was that of a coldness that exceeded that of her frigid homeland. Unlike the pure, calming ice magic of the Freljord, their energies seemed to be malevolent. It was a chill that would permeate one’s entire being and would slowly, yet hungrily devour the warmth and passion that lies within the flesh-bound beings of Runeterra.
Yet, the woman seeked these creatures out. She too, feared the cold that sent many of her weaker brethren to their graves, but she was not willing to be a sitting duck to let the winter claim her. Long periods of studying ice magic and meditations within the deepest regions of Freljord’s caves allowed her to bend winter to her will, but these creatures that stood before her; these dark guardians that stood and watched the land from the shadowy depths showed to have the ability to complete her, to make her one with the land itself.
Exchanges took place between the lone woman and the dark spirits in an ancient tongue lost to time, unknown to anyone of this age. However, some words could be identified by the summoners who have delved into the oldest of the Freljordian archives, those kept within the sanctuaries of the Frostguard city.
Power. Immortality. Allegiance. Loyalty. Ascendance. Empire. Everlasting winter.
The agreement was sealed as a black claw was raised by the shadowy creatures, enveloping the woman in a swirl of cold blackish-blue light. The ice breathed new life into her, as warmth faded to become coldness as her pale-skin turned icy-blue.
“We welcome you, seeker.”
The scene shifted to that on a black stone bridge. Around it, shattered ice in the form of arms, legs, faces and heads lay around the areas, as many more frozen warriors charged fearlessly towards the same shadowy creatures. As the struggle continued, more of the frozen warriors fell as they crumbled into dust and frost upon the ground. More and more of the shadowy creatures were unceremoniously tossed into the endless chasm that lay below the bridge, their screaming and howling echoing throughout the glaciers as they plunged to their doom.
Two women led the charge of the Iceborn warriors. One with a tallish stature sending volleys of frozen arrows that struck down the shadowy monsters, the other an equally tall, but burly woman who rampaged through the army of shadows with a massive ice flail.
All the shadows fell, one by one. Now, all that stood before them to be eliminated was their sister who surrendered herself to them.
Lissandra will be the last to fall.
“Have you not learned the error of your ways? Your deeds caused us to become mindless slaves, mere servants to such foul creatures. We are free now, and we will forgive you if you show remorse for what you did!” Avarosa called out to her firmly.
“Never. You have destroyed all that we have worked for. I would rather die than see you tear this place to ruins for your own selfish reasons…” Lissandra seethed, as she tried to conjure a dark flurry as her final attempt of defiance.
“Very well. You shall fall with them, sister.” Avarosa drew a single arrow and pulled back her bowstring. Without hesitation, she let it fly towards Lissandra, as it pierced through her frozen chest as she screamed. There was no pain, but there she could feel the corrupted energies within gush out like a fatal wound, as her body started to break and crumble despite her desperate attempts to keep her form together.
Avarosa walked towards the remains of her sister as they gradually fell apart, speaking in a regal tone, “Why do you want to join the League, Lissandra?”
Lissandra managed to force a weak grin, as she tried to look at her sister. “To rebuild what you have destroyed, and to welcome the old masters of this land back to this world.”
The weak grin turned into a full-on smile, was the crumbling remains turned the whole area dark as a dark blizzard churned the air around into a cold frenzy. Black ice sprung from the floor of the bridge, immediately encasing the illusions of the Iceborn army, Avarosa, and Serylda, shattering them as it consumed them completely.
Ancient Freljord faded away, as the Reflecting Chamber came into view. The walls and floor were covered in black ice from the previous outburst of energy, leaving the more inexperienced summoners shivering as they knelt and hugged their knees to keep themselves warm. Lissandra, however, remained as composed as she was before she entered, her face emotionless as her eyeless gaze was focused on the elderly summoner before her.
“How does it feel to expose your mind?” He asked without a trace of fear.
“This is one story amongst many, child. I can tell you of the many tales I know, but whether you will be remembered within our histories, that will be up to us to decide.”
“Hmph, we shall see… Lissandra.” The old summoner smirked fearlessly.
“The Watchers have called out to me. They will return, and our triumph will be inevitable. Now it is up to you to decide if you wish to perish or not.”
