Abilities:

Prowl (Passive): Nidalee was raised a huntress in one of the thickest parts of one of the most dangerous jungles in Runeterra. Needless to say she quickly became an expert at maneuvering the foliage, in both of her forms. As such she can now move quite deftly when she wants to, especially with foliage or anything similar enough to her own home to work with.

Javelin Toss / Takedown: As a huntress Nidalee has become quite potent with her weapon of choice, the spear. While she often throws them as a standard attack, when she takes the time to line up her toss and aim for a weak point they can become even deadlier than normal.

In her cougar form she prefers a more paws-on approach, since she can't wield her spear. But the cougar is quite adept at taking down its prey, and with a ferocious attack she aims directly for vulnerable weak points, allowing for additional damage to her target.

Bushwhack / Pounce: Living in the jungle and hunting for one's food has long since taught Nidalee how to lay an efficient trap. She carries with her quite frequently the supplies to fashion makeshift traps, signals and so forth, allowing her to successfully hunt and trap her prey even through the thickest parts of the jungle.

Without the use of her fingers in cougar form Nidalee resorts to much more hands-on methods of capturing her prey. Coiling the powerful muscles of her hind legs she can basically hurl herself claws and gnashing teeth first into her target, allowing her to travel deftly through the jungles and be on top of her prey before they even know it.

Primal Surge / Swipe: The spirits of the Kumungu Jungle, the very spirits of nature found there, communicate with Nidalee in her human form and with a bit of focus she can respond. This primarily manifests itself in two ways; being able to call upon these spirits to help mend wounds, and using the very spirit of the wild to fuel on herself or her allies, giving them a surge of strength and speed.

The spirits of the jungle are quiet when she's in her cougar form, but said form is more than capable of handling itself in combat and on the hunt. Her fore-paws are remarkably strong from
years of hunting, prowling and leaping through the jungle, and her claws are sharp enough to rend unsuspecting prey in half with one powerful swing.

Aspect of the Cougar: Young and naive, Nidalee was left to the savages of the wild many years ago. Something about her, however, appealed to the jungle, and the beasts soon accepted her as one of their own. The spirits of the Kumungu Jungle, however, began to communicate with her, finding her naivete a perfect gateway through which to speak. In return for her listening they granted her the ability to shift her form into one more suited to survival in the jungle, enabling her to remain there. Since then Nidalee has been able to channel the aspect of the cougar at will, shifting between forms as she may see fit, allowing her to become one of the most feared hunters in the Kumungu Jungle.

Biography:

There are few dwellers, let alone champions, residing in the blasted and dangerous lands that lie south of the Great Barrier. Much of that world still bears the scars of past Rune Wars, especially the mysterious Kumungu Jungle. There are long-forgotten treasures in these strange places which many risk life and limb to acquire. The champion known as Nidalee was only a young girl traveling with her treasure-seeking parents when they lost their way in the dense, rainy jungles. The jungle was unforgiving, and she watched her parents suffer agonizing final days as they fell victim to a mysterious and vicious disease.

As improbable as it was for a child to survive in the inhospitable jungle by herself, she did just that. Her youthful innocence and a fortunate naivete caused her to appeal to the beasts of that place and she was taken in by a family of cougars and raised as one of their own. She grew and somehow absorbed the raw magic of the dense wilds, evolving beyond both her human physiology and her feline affectation. On one pivotal day in her life, standing over the torn remnants of a Noxian squad of woodcutters, Nidalee chose to rejoin the so-called civilized world, to fight in the League of Legends so as to protect the vast woods from both Demacia and Noxus.
