May 13th, 23 CLE North of Demacian Capital
The moon stood high in the sky, leaving dark shadows throughout the wooded path. Not a cloud in the sky. It had only been a month since the invasion but it still weighed heavily upon his mind. A piece of him was ripped away by the very things he hunted down. Never again...
His hand tightly gripped the lighter, slimmer weapon. He would make damn sure this would be the one to deliver the killing blow. Blam... right between his cold dead eyes... But for now there was other undead to deal with. His eyes scanned the area for any movement. Even though the Isles had retreated chances were that a few stragglers stayed behind, and he would gladly end them. To that end he had been trying to keep track of any and all movements of the vile undead. While he hadn't heard of any in the path he decided to patrol, it was at least worth it to check. Who knows maybe he did need some peace.
The Purifier would not be the only one wandering this night, rather another individual had been drawn to rumors and tales that Lucian had been sighted near Demacia. However, unlike Lucian who was dedicated to riding the world of undead, this individual had a slightly different purpose. Regardless of this difference they shared a common enemy. Undead...the abominations of the world, and clearly an evil that had much destructive power seeing how they ravaged Demacia. An evil that must be put down by the fires of retribution.
However, Rudmed did not stick to the path, rather he preferred to walk amongst the woods, giving him cover from prying eyes. He was not far from the champion, but his leather boots did not make much noise, besides the slightest rustle of grass being stepped upon. Eventually, he would make his way closer to the edge of path, and once he was in earshot he would call out to the champion.
"Lucian, The Purifier, what brings you to these parts?" The man would call out before stepping out onto the path that winded like a snake. A hat hid his eyes from view, but judging from the facial hair, and a stray scar this man appeared to be in his late twenties if not early thirties. The man was armed with a saber and pistol, but none of them were drawn nor did the man make any moves to draw them. Furthermore, the tone he spoke with was not hostile, but monotone. Aside from that he wore leather armor with a metal plating that covered the vital areas of his chest. Whoever, this was, he stood in Lucian's path. His intentions unknown, but the man would remain stationary until Lucian addressed his question.

His patrol continued, till he heard his name called out and a man step forth. He stopped and glanced him over. Once satisfied that he wasn't hostile he would answer.
"I'm investigating the area for any of the undead. I haven't heard of any but decided it might be good to go out and find out myself, and who might you be?"
His tone neutral but his face, always had the expression that could be best described as frowning angrily. Obviously not aimed at Rudmed in particular. Even his brows seemed to be screaming angrily at something. He shifted his weight and waited for the man's answer. His hands rubbing together nonchalantly.

Rudmed would nod at Lucian's answer, "Vigilance, determination, very worthy virtues for one such as yourself. As for why I am here, that reason is quite simple. You and I share a common enemy. The sinful abominations known as the Undead. Monstrosities that seek the destruction of all things living, while they are not the only sinful creatures that walk among us, but they are numerous." The wanderer replied taking a few steps forward.
"My name is Rudmed Vonfuer, I am a leader of the order that seeks to eliminate all things evil or sinful from this world. The undead fall into that category, thus I came to offer a proposal. We share a common enemy, the undead." He explained pausing for a moment for effect before beginning his proposal. "They say the enemy of my enemy is my friend, so I will offer my assistance in dealing with the undead, in return I would request that you aid me in my order's quest. What say you purifier?" The man would boldly ask, he figured Lucian would be foolish to turn down such a deal. Not to mention Rudmed would gain another champion to his side, and an ally that he could call on. Granted, like his previous ally he might take a little convincing before he decides to aid the inquisitor, but that would be fairly easy.

Lucian glanced to the side, pondering the request. He still had his own order that he was apart of and loyal to. He would have to learn more though before giving an answer, what was his order's quest and of course how much aid. He had his own obligations and for obvious reasons throwing those away would come with consequences. Lucian rolled his shoulders and replied.
"Before I answer, I might as well find out. What is your order's quest and just how much aid do you need? I have my own obligations to my own temple of course. I'll probably have to make sure they don't mind as well of course."
His eyes scanned the area as he awaited his answer, always alert for anything. Past events have taught him to always be ready for anything. Especially given his work, his enemy would love to just sneak right up, and there was always that chance that maybe he'd run into Thresh again... If not of course he wouldn't mind tearing a new hole into the Shadow Isles just to find him. But even he knew that would be suicide. He blinked and regained his train of thought as he glanced back to the man before him.
He had his own temple or order? That was quite interesting, and useful to learn. It meant that should they choose to engage a threat like the Undead they would have more men and bodies to engage the enemy. He would have figured that Lucian was the leader of his order, but it appears such information was incorrect. Perhaps they had a council of some sort, whatever the reason was it was of little concern. As surely they would surely want aid in dealing with a grave threat like the Undead.
"As I previously stated, my order it tasked with eliminating those who have sinned, those who murder for greed or hatred, those who act against humanity, those who start wars or genocides in order to see blood shed for little to no purpose. In terms of aid, we may need very little, unless we are fighting creatures like the Undead or Void. Such entities threatened to overwhelm powerful forces supported by champions. Something else we may need your aid with is dispatching sinful champions such as Vladamir. Other than that, my order should be able to handle everything else."
None of Rudmed's men were near, for once the man came alone. He was confident Lucian would not harm him, and he felt a though he had nothing to fear. However, his eyes began scanning the perimeter around him. Did the champion hear or something, or was he just being cautious. Rudmed would not doubt that some lone undead was still wandering these woods, but a feeling was not enough evidence for him to draw his weapons...just yet.

He contemplated what the man said. He knew himself that the temple could use some kind of aid. It was just a matter of making sure the higher ups were okay with such a thing.
"I'll have to report back to the temple after this, but I'll let them know of your proposal. I'm sure they won't mind at all... Especially after the losses sustained... But either way. I don't mind helping your order out. Those Shadow Isle abominations will pay."
The last bit said with just a hint of malice. All in all though the idea of two groups working together with one objective in mind did make perfect sense. Given recent circumstances and the sheer number of undead that were around Demacia during that time. They might need even more aid. Who knows, maybe he could convince Vayne as well. Even if her methods weren't the most agreeable. They still had a common threat. Maybe he could go on a journey to find more for the cause.

Rudmed nodded at Lucian's reply, that was an acceptable answer in his book, hopefully with this alliance they would be able to strike a mighty blow against the Undead and other abominations of sin. Undoubtedly another powerful ally was now at his disposal one who had expertise in dealing with the Undead, perhaps more than the Grandmaster himself did. Information that could prove to be lifesaving should it come down to it, not to mention perhaps Lucian could teach his order techniques or enchantments that would prove effective against the abominations as well. After a moment he would reply to Lucian.
"Understandable, once they have made their decision come to Freljord. Once you are there, we shall find you, and we can discuss a plan of action in case of another invasion by those who have defied death. Should my order have need of you then we shall find you, and should you need us then you can come to Freljord. I look forward to your visit, should your order choose to accept my offer, we will have much to discuss. "
With that said Rudmed would bow to Lucian before disappearing back into the woods from whence he came. His business here was done, now he must move on with his agenda, and be ready should Lucian ever arrive at his doorstep.

Lucian listened to the man speak, so they were located in Freljord. Interesting. Either way least he'd come back to the temple with some news. They'd be delighted to hear of this, and Lucian was pleased to have made some new allies. It hopefully won't take much convincing to get them in on this. He'd give a short affirmative reply to the man.
"Understood, I'll be there soon as I can if things go well."
Lucian would bow back at the man and watch him leave. Now to continue this patrol. He'd return to the temple at first dawn and tell them the news, hell maybe even more if he slayed any of the undead.
