25th July 23 CLE
Jay got off the boat when it docked in Bilgewater, a massive suitcase in hand. With a few strides down the plank, he came onto the ground and took a breath of fresh air...immediately followed by him running to the water's edge and losing his lunch.
When he was done, he got up and dusted himself off, making his way to the end of the plank. Marcy would likely follow him up any moment now.

Sometimes, when you've been stuck alone for long enough, you just have to break out into reality, with no regard for what position it may put you in. It is better to try and fail than to never try.

Ah, Bilgewater, home of drunk pirates and fishermen. Marcy stood on the deck breathing in the fresh air, holding her umbrella in one hand to cover herself from the sun. This was a place she had been wanting to visit for a while now, though she had never had the chance to do so, until now.
She stood and listened to the waves of water below them, the seagulls flying above them... And Jay's vomiting.. She moved down the plank and looked at him, she smiled at him, "Not good with the sea huh, Hun?" She said and moved up next to him giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.

Jay smiled as she kissed him. "N-nope. I'm just glad Bilgewater is closer than Ionia. I barely made it there for work." He wiped the sweat off his brow and put an arm around Marcy. "Let's go find our room. I need to stop there before I keel over or something." He smirked at her and began walking, stumbling every now and then.

She chuckled and moved her umbrella so it would still cover her when he put his arm around her. She nodded as a reply to him, "Yeah, let's do that. Where is it anyway?" She asked, she didn't know where he had booked the room, nor what kind of room it was.

Jay shrugged. "I'm...not entirely sure. But it's supposed to not be far from the docks." He led her in the general direction of the inn, stopping outside a shabby-ish establishment. "I think this is it..."

Marcy followed Jay around Bilgewater until they found the place where their room was. She looked at it then back at him, "It will do, after all, we're not here to stand and look at it all day." She said and gave him a quick kiss.

Jay shrugged. "Yea, I guess so. Lets head inside." He lead Marcy within, revealing the downstairs to be a quiet tavern with few customers. He made his way to the bar. "I'll grab our room. You can wait here a minute, I shouldn't be long." When he got to the bar, he would start discussing room and board with the innkeeper.

Marcy smiled and nodded at him, "I'll stay here then." When he walked away she folded in her umbrella and looked around the tavern, it was quite large , rows of round tables took up some of the space. She noticed that there was a few people in there, sitting quietly and drinking, either mourning or just drinking to wake up.
A couple of feet to her left sat two sailors drinking their rum whilst chatting and laughing at lies and twisted stories. Looking over at Jay again as he stood there, talking to the innkeeper. She smiled and took a seat at a nearby table while she waited for him to return to her.

While at first the conversation between the barkeep and Jay was quiet, things started to get heated. After a couple of minutes of shouting, Jay groaned and slapped a surprisingly sizable pile of Valors on the bar, pushing them over. With a sneer, the barkeep handed him the keys, and he came back over to Marcy, grumbling to himself. "Bloody pirates...not sure what I expected. C'mon." He gave a rough gesture up the stairs. "Let's get settled in real quick, before I lose the rest of my cash for the stay." Without waiting for her, he turned around and began moving up the stairs towards their room.

Marcy sat and looked at her boyfriend as he stood there discussing with the barkeeper. She sighed and leaned back in her chair while she waited for Jay to finish discussing and return and take her to their room. As they began shouting she got a bit worried about Jay, that he might get hurt in the middle of everything.
As he returned she noticed he looked a bit ticked off, standing up when he came up to her. She gave him a quick smile but it disappeared as soon as he turned around and walked away from her. She stood there for a second and hurried up to him, putting her hand on his shoulder as he began unlocking the door to their room. She turned him around and hugged him tightly, "Hey, what's wrong?" She asked and kept him in her arms, she was quiet worried something had happened.

Jay sighed. "Apparently, you don't have to be at sea to get pirated around here. Guy charged me twice as much as I'd reserved the place for, said that all the other inns in town were packed full and this was my best shot...had to charge extra..." He grumbled as he opened the door, leading Marcy into the simple but relatively clean room.
Jay didn't bother to even get comfortable. He just set his suitcase besides the dresser and took Marcy's hand, a slightly strained smile on his face. "Y'know, we should put that behind us. Let's just go out, find some fun or something. It's a vacation; I shouldn't get so pissed over a small thing." He was still quite frustrated, but for Marcy's sake, he kept it toned down as he led her out onto the streets, gauntlet donned just in case they met more...unruly folk.

Marcy gave him a quick kiss before they walked out on the streets, she noticed he was wearing the gauntlet. She didn't even know he had brought it with him. The streets were rather empty at this time of day or rather evening. There was a few other tourists as well, walking around the streets, usually in couples. As time passed and they passed a few couples she couldn't help but look at them. She understood their happiness, how it felt to have someone so close to you.
She pulled Jay in closer to her and repositioned the umbrella to cover the setting sun. As they walked they came up on a wooden bridge. Marcy stopped Jay in the middle of the bridge and walked up to the edge, having the umbrella block the sun coming from the back. She looked down on the flowing water, it was soothing to look at. She let out a relaxed sigh, "It's beautiful here, don't you think?"

Jay tried to smile at the view, but he was a bit paranoid. Even if this area was safer than what Bilgewater was famous for, the encounter at the front desk made him wary. He was still looking around, wary. "Yes, yes...very beautiful." He said this flatly, resting a hand on Marcy's shoulder. "Just...too quiet."

Marcy looked at the water and smiled. Jay's attitude put her off a bit, he felt.. different somehow, he just wasn't the same. She turned her head and looked at him and smiled, trying to get him to smile again. "Come on love, smile a little." She said and gave him a kiss. "You don't have to be mad. I can see you are angry, tell me, why are you angry?" She moved some hair from his face and smiled softly at him, "Why are you so angry?"

Jay snapped, pushing Marcy's hand away. "Sheesh, why the hell do you think I'm angry? Is it because I got seasick like an idiot? Or maybe because I got swindled for all my spending money just so I could stay in a half-ass little room? Pay attention, Marcy! For a perfect memory, you sure are forgetful." He leaned on the rail of the bridge, positively fuming with anger and not looking at Marcy.
