Viktor hadn't taken on the commission from the doctor to make him happy, not at all. Viktor didn't actually care about the happiness of others, let alone pleasing his fellow champions. The reality was that Viktor accepted the request because he wanted to prove his worth as an inventor, to show all of Valoran just how truly ahead of times his designs were. While most others had net yet even mastered simple carriages, the Machine Herald had built and was now the proud creator of a mechanical behemoth that threatened to make those boxes on wheels totally obsolete - veritable relics of the past that might one day be housed in one of those Museums that the Prodigal Explorer often jested about on the Fields of Justice.
Seeing the reaction and face of Dr. Mundo, however, was a bonus. Viktor knew what he himself was capable of, he was absolutely confident in his abilities. But here, with the Madman of Zaun as his witness and confidant, he had produced physical evidence of his mastery of techmaturgy. Although it was quite the expensive construction, it was mere chump change compared to the vast wealth that Viktor believed would be given to create more like, and even more much better in functionality to it. For the time being, Viktor was rather content to simply leave it at the Mundomobile.
