(Date: TBD)
The Institute Grounds felt foreign considering how long she'd been in the North, the feeling always was always the same. The warm felt unwelcome as did the scenery. She was out of her element. When she was required to be here she seldom stuck to the halls and rarely stayed in her accommodated room. Instead she ventured off Institute Grounds into the surroundings woods.
The wilderness was at least familiar to her. Bristle was left back at the Institute as was her flail but she walked in her armor half aimlessly. The recent events weighed heavily on her mind and time would tell what would become of her people.

A loud snort would interrupt her thoughts. The beast man of Ionia sat on a tree branch above Sejuani, staring at her with his usual angry demeanor. When he realized who it was, his eyebrows arched upwards in minute surprise. "Hrm? You? What brings you to these parts of the woods?"
The proof that the state is a creation of nature and prior to the individual is that the individual, when isolated, is not self-sufficing; and therefore he is like a part in relation to the whole. But he who is unable to live in society, or who has no need because he is sufficient for himself, must be either a beast or a god.

A familiar voice broke her silent train of thought and her eyes darted before she looked up to the beast man above. The scowl was always there, it was definitely Udyr.
"My feet." She answered curtly with a frown and glare of her own. "I can walk where I please if it is within my reach. I decided I did not want to be kept within the walls of the Institute of War while I am required to be here. I do not enjoy spending time among the mass of summoners while I have more important things I should be attending to."
The thought of wasting time here, or at least right now it felt like one, made her blood simmer.

Udyr grinned at her response. He even let out a short, but genuine, chuckle. "We agree with your sentiments. Summoners tend to prattle on far too much for our liking. And when they think they can command you, control you, against you will, that is when it is best to remind them of their hubris." He cricked his knuckles, then laid back onto the tree trunk and relaxed himself. The beast man pointed towards a certain direction, approximately at a one o'clock position from Sejuani's perspective.
"If you travel in this direction for a mile you will find a secluded river. The water comes from Mount Targon's mountain range. Its waters should be cold enough to help make you feel more comfortable in this environment."

"I assure that when they over step their boundaries they will learn their folly. Most of them would rather learn from experience than see what the foolishness of their peers brings." Her lips upturned with a satisfied smile; she liked Udyr's answer. Her eyes caught the finger and then listened to his advice.
"My thanks. I think I will visit these streams." Mount Targon was a place she'd only heard of but the warriors they brought forth were powerful. Pantheon was a man of war, seasoned and dedicated. Two avatars, one of sun and one of moon, but she didn't understand them. What did it mean to be what they were, were the sun and moon forces to be truly reckoned with and not just things? Leona's ideals were flawed, peace only brought weakness. Diana however, Diana was different and she didn't know quite how to view her.
Betrayed by her people for her ideals and when they tried to slay her, she slew them instead. Her mind shifted back to her own incidents. "Walk with me Udyr. I have things I must discuss. If you are comfortable you will find another branch down by the stream."
She began moving away. Her hope was that the beast man would comply and she could inquire about the state of things else where. There were rumors all about, she hardly cared for them but it may pay to learn a little.

The beast man let out a grunt and rested himself on his branch for another minute or two. By the time Sejuani should have lost sight of Udyr, he popped out from the forestry at her side, surprisingly quiet for someone of his large stature. "Ask," was all he said.

She paid no mind and even when he reappeared she spoke, as if this had become routine. They'd both been on the receiving end of a sudden attack from seemingly no where on the fields of justice. She'd expected him.
"The aftermath of the Void Invasion in the north has been less than pleasant and later I heard that the Shadow Isles had invaded Demacia. I've been preoccupied but it seems that most of the world is being torn apart in one way or another. I want to know if there are looming shadows in Ionia."
It helped to know if there was maybe something else at work. Even after the Void had been beaten and driven back there were things at work to open the gates of hell once more.

Udyr scratched the side of his head and grunted in response, "Shadows are everywhere, Winter's Wrath. Where there is light, shadows will always follow. Are there shadows in Ionia? Of course. The Order of Shadows moves strangely, though our affairs do not affect yours. The concerns of Ionia are not the concerns of you nor your people."
The beastman cast a sideways glance towards Sejuani. "However, if we recall properly, Ionians as a majority are allied with Ashe, and vice versa due to her support in the Ionia versus Noxus rematch. Perhaps this is why you ask, so you can more confidently lay siege to her and her tribe if Ionia is too preoccupied? Either way, they should not be so much of a bother to you, with the League all but dissolved."
A loud chuckle and the beastman rolled his eyes. "To think the League thought themselves useful. Such is the folly of fools."

"Agreed. Their concerns are not mine but it pays to be aware of your surroundings. I do not want any unwanted beast casting their eyes while I become tunnel visioned on my own goals." Sejuani returned the glance with her own, the slightest acknowledgement he was looking at her.
"I doubt that Ionia would willingly step forward into any conflict that they see unless someone burned down a village or two within their country and then insulted their mothers. I could crush Ashe's head upon my flail before her people and the most they would do is shake their heads. The alliance means nothing to me if there is no basis to besides words."
Laying siege. She would have to at this point. They had lost much in the wake of the invasion and if they were going to survivor they were likely going to have to creep into Avarosan territory and take as they had been. It spat in the face of their help and good will but she refused to give into Ashe's way just because a bunch of oversized bugs had swarmed her tribe.
"They want to keep the world from tearing itself apart when they cannot even stop themselves from falling apart."

Udyr grunted and nodded in reply. "Unless it affects Ionian affairs directly, they will not act. If Ashe were to ask the Ionians for help, they would be reluctant due to the restoration efforts they are still undergoing due to the Noxian war."
He would roll his shoulders forward as he said, "Then they fall apart and fail. If that is what nature dictates, so be it. If you can overwhelm them, so be it. That is, if you can with your weakened forces. And yet, you say you are tunnel visioned with your goals. To be aware of this is a virtue, however..."
Udyr would act violently and swiftly. His fist swung past Sejuani's face and struck the trunk of a tree that was close to her. The wood cracked, and a loud, feline yelp was heard crashing down towards them. He raised his hand up and caught the bobcat that fell down at them. Udyr grabbed the scruff of the animal's neck and glared at it, uttering a low growl. The wildcat drew his head in, looking sheepish, almost ashamed, before the beast man dropped him on the ground and howled at it. The bobcat ran the opposite direction of them at top speed.
"To not have your vision clouded is a greater virtue. Our goal is to become the strongest. We are aware of all of our surroundings. Our goal is never obscured, but we are not blind to what happens around us. We may not acknowledge it, but we are aware."
With that, Udyr went silent and continued walking.

She listened and then leaned back if only to give her enough space to avoid the violent action. She knew enough to be on her toes and to be ready for any sort of reaction from the man besides her. At times he could be very unpredictable. She half expected him to have felled the tree in a single nighty strike. The splintering of wood sounded out and then came another. A feline, an animal similar to what she was only familiar with due to Nidalee, fell and then was grasped in the hands of a much more fierce some predator. Instead of senseless slaughter he seemed to have scolded it, sending it racing off with its tail between its legs.
Had the creature pounced she would have acted, but it seemed Udyr was in no mood to deal with such an interruption and instead made a display of it. She admitted to herself she had not seen the creature but was ready for it.
“Words to live by.” She nodded in agreement. Her long term goal was to take over and unite the Freljord under her rule. To stamp out all threats and to make Freljord what it deserved to be. Strong. If the Ice Witch or Void had their way there would be no future. If Ashe had hers they would eventually be crushed by something stronger. She’d abandon tradition in a region where that tradition had kept them alive. By discarding it in favor of pacifism she’d only weaken them. If only the Void had struck them first, maybe they’d see how “strong” they really were.

The beast man would walk alongside the Winter's Wrath in complete silence until they reached the lake. When they had, Udyr would stop and rest himself against the trunk of the nearest tree and stare at Sejuani. "If you have nothing else to inquire, then we will take our leave," he said with a grunt.

Sejuani found the lake water and tested it, kneeling down by it and running her hand over the surface. The cold waters were refreshing, mild compared to what she had endured. "I have no further questions. Your company has been surprisingly pleasant. She wasted no time in removing her armor, she cared little for modesty or prying eyes. Even less time would be spent submerging herself within the water.
He was right, the water was relaxing and did much to make her feel more at home but it wasn't the bitter bite of frost she grew to knew.
