((Yeah, so I thought I'd do another story, this time about Yorick. As as far as I have noticed by searching the forum, the last Yorick didn't decide on where he lived before his unlife and all. So hopefully this will flesh out a bit on his back story, not that Yorick remembers this.))
Yorick Mori, he was thirteen at the time. He and his family lived a few minutes outside of the big walls of Demacia, where his family had been running the Final Rest Memorial. It was one of the oldest cemeteries in Valoran at the time. Little did he know at the time, he would be the last heir of the Mori family.
He had an older sister by the name of June, just as the month. She was at the time one of his only friends, being the child of a gravedigger wasn't very popular amongst the children his age. Or any age for that matter. Yorick had been playing tag with his sister when the two ran out on the graveyard, his sister stopped after a few steps, she didn't like the graveyard and would avoid it at all costs. Yorick on the other hand found that the silence of the graveyard was soothing, so he spent most of his time there with his father as he worked.
"Yorick! Get back here! We aren't allowed to be here by ourselves, it can be dangerous!" She shouted as Yorick kept walking between the tombstones, casting a glance back at her. "Are you afraid, June? Afraid that the ghouls will take you?" He said mockingly and kept up his advance through the graveyard.
He knew there was no such things as ghouls, although his father used to tell him and June stories to scare them at night. He didn't believe him though, how could there be things that come back to life after they've died? That's ridiculous.
His sister followed him, she was fifteen and was going to become sixteen the next week. "Yorick! We have to go back home! We are not allowed to be here alone!" She said as she caught up to him, he didn't listen, instead he kept walking until he found what he was looking for. The center of the graveyard. The middle of the Graveyard was on a hill, overlooking the entire thing, you could see the city walls from where they stood. He stood in the center and looked around on all the tombstones, it was silent as always, save for his sister's nagging.
"Blah blah blah... I've been here plenty with father and by myself. I know this place as good as my room. Go on home if you want, I'm staying." he retorted before sitting down between two tombstones with crossed knees. His sister was getting annoyed, she walked up to him and gave him a slap across his face, "You are coming with me! NOW!" she shouted and grabbed him by the arm and began tugging in him. "Ouch! What was that for?" he replied as he was pulled up from the ground and back the way they had come.
He looked back at the graveyard as it got further and further out of sight as they made their way through the forest that encircled it. He knew his mother didn't like him going out on the graveyard all alone, his father didn't really care. He was going to spend everyday of his life there when he was old enough.
They arrived at their house after almost an hour of walking through the forest. The house was rather big for being so far away from the city. The villa was just a tad bit too small to be considered a mansion, but Yorick didn't care. Nor did the rest of the family.
The exterior of the house had a bright gray tone to it, trimmed with brown logs from the nearby forest. It had enough room to house around six people and yet have rooms left. But the Mori family only consisted of four members. Yorick, his sister June, his mother Ann and his father Yorick Sr. His mother was from a village in the freljord, she had met Yorick Sr. when she had been visiting what now was called Demacia. The two had spent much time together before she was forced to leave the city due to financial issues. At the time Yorick had been living alone, so he invited her to stay with him, she accepted and ended up marrying him a year later.
The gravedigger we know was born nine years later, 420 BLE. He had never met his Freljordian relatives, as a trip to the Freljord was out of question as the first rune war had escalated to a point where out of state travel was virtually impossible.
His mother walked out of the front door when she noticed June and Yorick returning, they had been out longer than allowed. Yorick and his sister had promised not to be out too long as it was getting dark. When they had come home it was pitch black out side and his mother was not happy.
"DIDN'T I TELL YOU TO BE HOME /BEFORE/ IT GOT DARK?" she wasn't actually angry at them, just disappointed. She didn't like the dark too much and having her two children running around in it didn't help her. From inside you could hear his father coming down the stairs, he was generally a calmer person than his wife. He grabbed her on the shoulder, "Relax, love. If you keep screaming like that you'll wake the dead, and I'll have to bury them again."
"Yorick was out on the graveyard!" June quickly said, "He had planned on staying there had I not brought him back." Their father looked at them and then at their mother who did the same. Yorick had been told several times not to go out on the graveyard alone, it was fine if he was with his father. That was something Ann had been telling him, his father on the other hand, didn't mind it. Ann sighed and went back inside, leaving June and Yorick with their father.
Yorick Sr. waved in June and told her to go to her room while he talked to his son. He went down on one knee to come to his eye level before speaking, "I know you like the cemetery, but that doesn't mean you should spend ever woken moment there. How about you and I go and fish tomorrow?" He asked Yorick with a smile. Fishing was something else that Yorick liked, it was soothing, but not as soothing as the graveyard.
"But it's so quiet there, I like quiet." Yorick started before thinking for a second, it had been a while since he and his father had spent time together other than the graveyard. "Yeah, let's go fish! Right Now!" he replied eagerly.
His father laughed and got up from his knee and moved away from the door, "Haha.. Not today, tomorrow. Now, hurry up and go to bed." He said and moved Yorick inside with his hand on his back.
Yorick stumbled in and looked at his father, "No pushing!" he said after regaining his balance and starting to make his way up the stairs to his bedroom, "NIGHT, MOTHER! Night, Father." He shouted as he disappeared around a corner and went to his room. Once his head touched the pillow he fell asleep almost instantly, he wanted to be well rested when going out fishing with his father.
