Vi had been having a pretty good time in the sanctuary of Zaun. She'd made a few friends, became a commander for a team of elites...she'd even found time to tune her gauntlets up, as well as add a couple of gadgets she couldn't find in Piltover. Life was good.
And yet...she felt like something was missing. She missed Cupcake...and Juice...even the Yordles a bit, sometimes. With a heavy sigh, she threw her clothing on and went to get the morning's paper. When she opened it up, though, she certainly didn't expect to see what she did.
Piltover was in...flames. The simple headline - 'Piltover Jinxed!' - followed beneath a picture of wreckage, dead bodies, flames...it was chaos.
And, in the back of it all, a familiar silhouette. Vi's breath caught. There was no way it could be -
But it was. She'd recognize Ten anywhere. Vi almost teared up for a moment, but then shook it off. Ten was on the rampage...and it seemed that she was out to find her.
Vi knew what she had to do. She may have sanctuary in Zaun, but if she was to watch Piltover go up in flames? It shouldn't be from the safe land of Zaun. She had to go home, regardless of the punishment.
She ran to put on her gauntlets over her casual wear; they fitted well enough, even if they didn't offer as much protection. But that was the least of her worries. With a whirr and a clank, they came to life, spinning cogs heating up quickly as the small augments she'd made began to get ready.
With that, she left, stopping by Melanie's apartment door to drop a small note into her mailbox. She'd miss her, and Adal too. She just hoped they'd understand. When that was done with, she went downstairs and left the apartment.
It was time to go back home...all she had to do was find a way out of the city. That shouldn't be too hard, at least. Certainly easier than getting out of Piltover. Adjusting her goggles one more time, she began jogging towards the border, hoping she'd be able to make it home soon enough.

Andrei sat near the edge of Zaun, the body of an 'assassin' laying next to him. His blade was pointing out of the failed assassin's eye socket. It had been a busy night for the Sentinel, rumors of an assassin had begun to spread and eventually had reached Andrei's ears. He began working on finding this 'assassin', it had taken the most part of the night just trying to find him, then another good two hours of chasing before Andrei finally killed the culprit.
He had picked up a bad habit, smoking. It kept his nerves under control were as he usually would go out and do some killing. But after joining Purgatory he had gotten less time to actually kill. So he had begun to smoke. He heard someone come jogging in his direction, he opened the mouth of the body and left the cigarette butt there. He looked up and saw Vi coming towards him... and then she had passed him. He looked down the direction she ran, it was towards the border.
He got up and removed the blade from the body and began to follow her. He kept his mask down and shouted at her as he ran, "Hey, VI! Where ya goin?" He wouldn't stop following her until she either passed the border or stopped and talked to him.

Vi skidded to a stop, turning around to look at Andrei. "I'm going home, Andrei. There's something I have to take care of." She crossed her arms and looked at him. "You heard about that Jinx character? She's ripping Piltover a new one. I don't care if I'm Zaunite now, I'm not going to let my home get shredded so easily."
She turned her back on him and began walking towards the border again, almost out of it. "You can try and stop me, Andrei, but you remember what happened last time we sparred." She gave him a glance over her shoulder and a sly grin. "Unless you think you've gotten better since then, eh, Bolts-for-brains?"

"Hey... The only reason you won was because Adalwolfa distracted me..." He said and walked up to her. He looked down on the ground and then back at her, "We formed a damn good team, would be a shame to let some stuck up bitch ruin it, wouldn't it?" He joked and smiled. The only woman he truly respected that was alive was going to just walk out of Zaun just like that.
Andrei faced a tough decision, try to convince Vi to stay in Zaun, try to force her to stay or follow her and abandoning Zaun for the time being. He rubbed his head and sighed, "I'm guessing I can't force you to stay, nor that I can convince you to stay either..."
"How about this, I'll follow you to Piltover and help you catch this bitch and when she's caught, you come back here with me?" He proposed, he knew she wouldn't come back to Zaun without a reason, and hoped the deal would have her return.

Vi laughed. "Heh, you wish it'd been her fault." She turned back to the border, not really looking at Andrei. After a moment of thinking, she turned back to him. "You can come, I can't stop you. But I know this Jinx character. She's dangerous, got that?" Her face was suddenly serious. "You can help track her down, but if...no, when we find her, leave her to me. Unless you like being turned into a heap of metal and flesh."
With that, she nodded and went back to crossing the border. "...when we get over there, remind me to get some more hair dye."
Vi would feel a paper bag hit her head from behind “Here is the hair dryer same color as you used when I meet you” Said a familiar voice behind her. There was Adal the one that had showed her the way around Zaun and had convince her to be part of purgatory in behalf of the Chairman “Also I got a message from Magnus” she said before starting to imitate the Chairman’s nervous voice “You were a lousy enforcer and an overall failure get away from my city and feel free to visit when you want I good luck.” So you have no excuses to not come visit.”

Andrei noticed a voice coming from behind them and turned around to see Adalwolfa standing there. "I assume that you are upset, Adal." He said and looked at her. He looked back at Vi, "Got time to wait? I need to get some stuff back at the apartment."

Vi admittedly flinched when the bag hit her, but when it hit the ground, she turned around and picked it up, pocketing it quickly. "Andrei, do what you need to do. Me and Adal are gonna chat."
She walked up to Adal and stood there, a small frown on her face. "C'mon, Adal. I honestly don't want to leave on a bad note. Like...literally...this is a pretty bad note. Seriously, I could've sworn I did at least a bit better than that, right?"
She laid a gauntlet on Adal's shoulder. "I swear it's just some bad business. When all's said and done, I'll come back, ok?" She smiled at her old friend. "It's not that I want to leave. It's that if I don't stop her now, she'll come to Zaun next. Damage control, right?" With that, she took her gauntlet from her shoulder. "I hope you understand."

Zac had heard rumors of some insane criminal running amuck in Piltover, but that Vi knew her personally? That was truly shocking, so much that he became determined to find the Ex-Enforcer and confront her about it. Almost by sheer luck he happened to come upon her, maybe she had heard the news and somehow felt responsible? Who knew. But he knew one thing, if this Jinx character turned out to originate from Zaun he would gladly offer his assistance in her capture, he wouldn't allow someone like her to freely destroy a city-state he personally had no ill towards, whether their cities actually got along or not.
"I take it by the sad face you plan on settling things in Piltover with that lunatic." Zac crossed his gelatinous arms across his chest and threw a grin at the bunch.
"I've heard rumors she's from Zaun, and as our city's local hero it'd be downright villain of me to let her run loose in another city, but i get it. You have business with her, my question is would you allow me to come with you? This is a chance to show those guys in Piltover we Zaunites aren't so bad, I won't blame ya if you say no though."
“That just Magnus way to say you are free to go do your duty if you get homesick and don’t come back is ok…he is a awkward man incapable of saying those things upfront.” She responded to her friend “I…I will miss you but I have stuff to do here…my ties to Zaun run deep plus I gotta convince my “other boss” to not take any rash measure now that you got away…Singed pulled a lot of string to get you here you know and doesn’t like to invest to lose.” She responded to her “Don’t worry I will keep him calm…Oh and Mel will miss you she grew really attached to you…you know…maybe we could visit her at work before you go? or Maybe we will come to visit you.” She said unable to resist the urge to hug her “Sorry I can just wish you good luck.”

Andrei nodded at Vi and began leaving the group, he walked away just to see Zac arriving, he hadn't expected him at least. He'd return a moment later, carrying a prototype rifle he'd been working on. "I'm set to go."

Vi hugged Adal back. "Don't worry. Where I'm going, I won't need luck." With a sly grin, she pulled away and turned to Zac.
"You want to come along? Fine by me. Any help with Jinx is good help." She gave him a nod and walked towards the border and Andrei. "If you guys are all set to go, I'm up and at 'em right now. Let's go catch an insane pyrotechnics expert." She waved to them to follow her, finally crossing the border.

Andrei nodded and began walking right behind Vi, holding a bag in his right containing various tools and parts for him to tinker with later. His mask was now raised as he walked out of Zaun, not forever, but for a while. He sighed and looked at Zac who probably had caught up to him by now. "Can't believe it, I'm actually going to help Piltover... What has this world come to."
